Hope everybody enjoyed their Halloween celebrations yesterday! And since today is 1st November and we begin a new month, and also because there are only 13 days till the release of the new Pokemon game Sword and Shield! (I know, I am super excited about this one as well XD), I decided to post a new gigantic project I have been working on to keep my mind off of those things for a while; YES, you guessed it right, I am posting all the main characters of the cartoon »Steven Universe«!!!
I have been wanting to make these for ages, well actually since I saw the movie in September, and it took me to this day to finish them all, so I can finally show them all to you :) I am super excited, since I made all of them and there are, I can reveal at least that, that there are more than 10 of them…. So that’s a lot XD So I will be posting them one after another, every day, so you get another gem or human character in my gallery the next day, and the next, etc. :)
I made all of the characters in retrospective to the movie, not the cartoon, since they have evolved quite in some ways during all these seasons they came out, so I used the lasts designs so make them, and of course, made some adjustments in the design to make them look like mine and my design ;) I also think that the latest designs from the movie are the best there are, since Steven grew quite a lot and has an actual neck in it XD always found that so disturbing.
Else, I love this cartoon so much, since I usually hate cartoon designs, since anime are the only thing for me, but I had to make an exception for this one, because it is so awesome and beautify, do go watch it people, it is amazing. And for all the fans out there who don’t know already, a new “Steven Universe Future” has been revealed on Comicon this year, so we get at least another movie soon, although the date is still not known. So, patience people!
Anyway, I do hope you will like them, and we have to begin the papercraft project with the main character of course, which is Steven Quartz Universe! The papercraft is 16 cm tall and has 5 pages to print. He has a 3D body, with his 2-sided pink sweater from the movie. Fairly easy to make, the only pieces that are really fiddly are his hair, because he has to have his typical “afro” look even in papercraft form, but they are not hard to make, just takes some time because all the bums have to be made separately to create the perfect look.
