Pokekid (Pokemon) papercraft

Since the new “Pokemon Legends: Arceus” game is going to be released this week and we are all hyped at how it's going to be, I decided to post another Pokemon papercraft I did just for fun. Since I love Pikachu as much as anything anime, I decided to make the Pokekid from the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes, since she is super adorable.

And, yes, the reference for the model is from the game, since I did watch screenshots of the game to get the model, pose and texture right, but NO, the model and textures are 100000% made by me. This is not a game rip whatsoever, I took a look at the bases used in the game from gameplay footage and made it and drew it myself. Just like all of my papercrafts I do. Just to be clear here, since people still don't get the concept of what I am making. If I say »made by me« then it is 100% MADE – BY – ME. Nothing fake, nothing ripped, plain old modeling and drawing skills on my PC in Gimp and Metaseq.

The paperccraft is unfolded to be 28 cm (because of the ears), so I would say the overall model is 25 cm. It has 7 2-sided pages to print. Decided to go with a 2-sided print on this one, to see if it gets any better when assembling and if it will look as nice as when I make 2-sided model parts. As a somewhat experiment to see if it will actually be simpler to make yet look the part it should.

I definitely will assemble this cutie when I get time, since I think the Pikachu Pokekid concept is super adorable and I always loved Pokemon-dressed trainers in the game :)

Apart from the 3D fingers and the pants that have to be substantially wider than the girls’ legs and have holes in them, and maybe the head with the hair and hoodie, shouldn't be as hard to make actually. I would say a 6/10. But it always comes down to how skilled you are with your fingers and how much experience you have, so maybe for some a bit simpler or harder.

Will try to post the assembly soon. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the new Pokemon game and happy crafting~
