When I released the preview template of Etna, I did promise to make some assembly pics, so people can see the pictures of the papercraft in all-natural. So here is the cutie :)
The papercraft itself is unfolded to 35 cm, so without the stand and the 2 pigtails it should be about 28 cm tall, so on the bigger side of papercrafts in general, which also means no real smaller micro parts to look out for.
The papercraft, as all of the ones I am making and selling, includes the different PDFs and blank PDO files you get along with it + the assembly tips I wrote in here. However, it was an extremely difficult papercraft to make, so I recommend this only for experienced crafters. The 2 tails, the spear and the neck do need to be reinforced in order to stand, and making that damn flimsy, thin spear is truly a pain in my neck XD I though the thing would not be able to stand, because of those thin, thin legs, but if you fill them up the right way and go on about this level-headed you are good to go. So, listed up and don’t make the same mistakes I did :D
ASSEMBLY TIPS:
As you can see from the template, it is made out of a lot of separate parts, the main ones would be the Etna 3D model, the 3D stand, her separate 3D spear and some simple 2D 2-sided ad-ons. So best way is to assemble each of the parts separate and at the end add all of those on there.
Start by making the face part with the ears and neck first and then glue the front hair bangs on first. When you have this, make the 2 pigtails separately with the black bows, and then glue them on the back side of the hair and then close the head part with the last part at the bottom. (*Pro-tip: Because the pigtails are pointy, make sure you pre-bend them before gluing them together and on, because that way it will look neater. I do not pre-bend any other parts, except these and the white flaps you glue the pieces together – that way the end model looks extremely clean and smooth and not boxy).
When this is done, start making the 2 arms separately and then glue them on the first part of the torso at the start of the neck, but don’t close it. Leave it open, so you can attach it on the neck of the finished head you did before and close it on. Next built the remaining torso part to the bellybutton and set aside. Now you have the task of making those separate 12 black spikes on the cuffs and gluing them on there at the right angle the PDO is showing. Takes some time, especially since they are small and you want to make them neatly.
What remains now is to make the leg parts. What I did, and what is easiest to balance it out at the end so it stands nicely, is to divide the leg parts into 2 separate parts that you glue at the end. You assemble the legs separately and the skirt separately. Make the shoes and start making those from bottom to top, all the way up to the cuffs, legs, until you get to the behind, where you put it together. Now put some weights inside the legs (some really small ones, like small pebbles or grainier sand), so it helps making the papercraft stand right. Then, you can glue on the legs on the torso you did before. And now at the end, you can glue on the black skirt to cover up those flaps you can glue on the outside as well, since they won’t be visible at the end. *Note: I did forget to attach 1 piece of the skirt on, so it should actually be longer than it is XD I completely forgot it, since the other 2 parts fit on so nicely, and Japanese skirts are so skimpy anyway :D It happens to all of us. Still looks nice and original though XD
What is left to do is to, again, have the task of making those separate 12 black spikes on the leg cuffs and gluing them on there at the right angle. And attaching the rest of the 2D details on the model, such as the skull earrings and the belt.
All that you need to do now is to make the most difficult part of the craft, the separate 3D spear. This is a very fiddly task, and I do recommend making this with an actual stick inside of the spear, to make sure it is reinforced and doesn’t bend or break, since it is very flimsy. I also recommend using the pro-tip here and actually pre-bending all of the parts, to make the spear really flat and linear like it should be. Take your time, glue 1 flap at a time and breathe slowly and you’ll be there in no time :D And done.
Quite the challenge I have to say myself. The character itself is very thin, so you really have to know what you are doing and be patient with the critical parts and gluing those on. One of the more difficult papercrafts I did in quite a while :D

Hope you like the little cutie of the Disgaea series as much as I do :) Do enjoy and happy crafting~
