Qu Shukra (Punishing Gray Raven) papercraft

Well. This is probably-THE-MOST-complicated lowpoly model/ 3D model I had to make for papercrafts up to date. Take in all of her beauty, because it was a b*tch to make XD

:bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen:

This is my newest papercraft commission. The commissioner wanted the most lovable waifu of the game “Punishing: Gray Raven” game made into a papercraft. So, I had to completely base it off of the official model of Qu in her Shukra skin and the model has a whooping 12 UV-maps I had to completely re-draw myself =_= Took me probably over 40 hours to make this, starting with the model, then pose and then all the pieces of the texture, meticulously drawing one piece at a time and being as close to the model as I could.

The result is a truly stunning Qu papercraft model, unfolded to 35 cm and with 15 pages to print. It consists of a 3D model of Qu in her Shukra skin, with a bunch of 2D add-ons such as her sashes, the armor in various places, jewelry, some hair pieces, etc., etc. And you also have a 3D stand base, drawn completely free-hand by me in the style of the Shukra dress.

Showing this papercraft because I am really happy with the result, although it is based off an existing model. It was true hell to make, so much damn work to make it all fit, but the end piece is just like an anime figure you can find anywhere online. And I am also showing it because people can see what they can commission for themselves if they want a custom papercraft/3D model made as well.

Hope you like her as much as the commissioner and I do as well XD And I hope I get to see assembly pictures of her in the future when she is going to be built too and share it on here. Really curious how it’s going to look.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Botan (YuYu Hakusho) built papercraft

Already released the template of the old-style Botan from the anime “YuYu Hakusho”:

And now we have the assembled version of her as well. Let’s go to the building so I can give out some tips.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the tail, the arms, the upper torso, the legs with the bottom yukata and the add-ons (3D paddle and 2D notebook).

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then you glue on the front hair and last the back hair. Then you need to assemble the hair tail separately and glue in inside the hole. Additionally, to that, you can reinforce the tail from the inside with some rolled-up paper and then put it in, to make it hold really well.

Next you can separately build the 2 arms, with either the 2D or 3D hands (note that I did the preview pics with the 2D version of the hands). When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the 2 sleeves of the kimono till the shoulders. When you have all these parts, glue on the first few rows of the torso on the head and neck part you did before, then glue on the 2 sleeves and build the rest of the torso. Once done, glue in the 2 arms at the right angle and that’s done.

Set these now aside and move to the legs. You do this part with first the bottom yukata and then the legs separately. And when you have these 2 parts done, glue them together on the inside of the yukata at the right spot. Once done, glue the remaining flaps of the yukata bottom on the upper torso and Botan is done.

All that is left is to add the add-ons, you can glue on the notebook and paddle (or leave it as is and you can remove it).

I do suggest adding some weights inside the bottom to make her sit nicely. And as you can see, you will need a nice glass or anything similar to make her sit nicely and display in your room.
