But now you can also see the assembly preview and can read some tips if you’ll want to make her yourself.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with any of my assemblies, start from top and move to the bottom. And you can also divide the build into separate pieces: The face and neck with the back hair, the hair tail, the arms, the torso with the pants, the legs, the boots, the 3D stand and the add-ons (either the 3D or the 2D version of the rifle, the ears and the hair ornaments).

Start by making the face part first and add the back part of the hair and the neck. When you have this, assemble the tail separately and then put it in the head hole with glued flaps. *Pro tip: What I found is that it’s simplest this way and you can additionally help glue on the tail by first putting some wire and taping it inside the tail first. And when you have this, put on glue on all of the tail flaps, glue it inside the head hole where it fits and pull gently on the wire inside, hold it for some minutes so the glue dries without the parts slipping, and when it is dried, you can tape the other end of the wire either in the neck part or then later in the torso part. Really holds well and it’s the cleanest way to glue on all the parts that way.

Next, you can put together the 2 arms with the 2D hands. Also put aside and assemble the upper torso part first. When you have the torso, you can glue the head with the neck and the 2 arms inside it. And once that is dried, glue on the remaining part of the pants.

Then you got 2 options: You can build the legs that you make from top to bottom, gluing each piece on the pants and making your way down, OR you can build the 2 legs separately and then slide them inside with glue on the flaps and position them at the right angle with a pair of tweezers.

Either way, when you have the main body, you can then build the separate boots and then simple glue them at the right angle on the legs.

What is left to do is the 3D stand, the add-ons and then the rifle. You have 2 versions of the sniper rifle, 3D and 2D. As you can see, I did the 2D version and it fits nicely without any glue in her hands, or you can just leave it all out. I am not a big fan of guns myself, but it does fit her character from the anime, so…

With the 3D stand, you can glue the 3D body on the stand just like that, or you can additionally reinforce it to make sure it stands nicely. *Pro tip: What I did is cut a slid on the back side of the 3D stand with the right leg, and the same on her right boot (with an x-acto knife). That way, I could fiddle in wire that I taped on the inner side of the stand and slid on the whole Yoko figure on there to make her stand firmly. Make sure to use at least a 20 cm long wire, so most of the Yoko figure can lean on the other end, since you don’t need to tape the other end that way.

And at the end you can add the various 2D parts on there to make it look complete, and finished is the chibi Yoko paper figure.

Okumura Rin (Ao no Exorcist) papercraft

Too little male papercrafts being made, thus I have made the main protagonist of this season’s top anime »Ao no Exorcist«.

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

The papercraft is unfolded to 21 cm and has 4 pages to print. The papercraft consists of a 3D model of Rin himself, his katana, and THEN you have the optional blue fire items to put on as well, if you want to make him in his signature, Satan-fighting mode.

The only thing I would suggest is that when you make the 2D, 2-sided tail, you put some wire in the middle when you glue it together, so it holds its shape and you can pose it that way as well.
