Human Tsareena (Pokemon) built papercraft

Already released the template of the the gijinka Tsareena character:

And now we have the assembled version of her as well. Let’s go to the building so I can give out some tips.

*******************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the neck and the pink neckpiece, the 2D hair tail, the arms, the upper torso with the fluffy dress, the legs with the butt, the boots, and the various 3D and 2D add-ons.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then you glue on the front hair, the back hair and you close it with the 3D hair part on the top that is an attachment to glue on the hair tail. Then you need to assemble the 2D hair tail separately and leave that for later.

Next you can separately build the 2 arms, with either the 2D or 3D hands (note that I did the preview pics with the 2D version of the hands). When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the first few rows of the torso and the pink neckpiece. You glue now this on the head and neck part you did before, then glue on the 2 white sleeves inside the arm holes and build the frilly dress to the end. Only when this is done, glue in the 2 arms at the right angle inside and that’s done.

Now that you have the upper torso, we come back to the hair tail. The 2D tail is glued on the attachment on the top head. Simply put glue on the inner side of the tail and slap it on the stand at the right angle. Additionally, to that, you can reinforce the tail from the inside by taping in wire inside. This way, the tail will hold 200% and you don’t need to worry about attaching it in the beginning, since it would be in the way.

Next step is to make the legs. You do this part by assembling the legs from bottom to top and finish with the buttocks part. And when you have this part done, glue the legs on the pre-made separate boots at the right angle. Then glue all the leg part inside the dress part again and the 3D figure is done. I also suggest adding some weights inside the boots to make her stand nicely.

All that is left is to add the add-ons, the 3D crown and the long eyelashes and broches and glue them in the right places.

I really like how the 2D eyelashes came out and I will definitely try to make the same thing in other papercrafts from now on. It gives the eyes a nice 3D look and volume.

Human Tsareena (Pokemon) papercraft

Saw some humanoid Pokemon illustrations, so I got the inspiration to make a somewhat different Pokemon, the grass type Tsareens into a human Pokemon papercraft or "gijinka" as they are called in Japanese. And here she is.

******************************************************

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 22 cm and has 5 pages to print out. It consists of a 3D model of the humanoid Tsareena OC, as well some add-ons that are simply glued on to make the parts look cute.

The model itself also has optional simpler 2D hands to make the assembly easy and fast, or the 3D option. The hair in the back is 2D 2-sided and is simply glued on the top of the head, so it’s also easy to make.

It also would need to be additionally weight-down with some weights added in the legs, because of the somewhat tilted leg pose, but nothing hard to do. Just put in some pebbles when you close the leg part and you are good to go, or even add in magnets in the shoes to make her stick to metal surfaces, if you feel like it.

Bunny monitor sitter built papercraft

As you maybe remember, I have made a series of »monitor sitter« animal papercrafts that are basically papercrafts you can make to put on your flatscreens and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will.

They fit on any flatscreen on your PC screen, laptop, kindle, tablet, smartphone and even on vases, boxes or jars with slimmer rims, so you can decorate whatever you want with them. But basically, I made them to fit my laptop, so I could wedge them on my own PC :3

And since I have finally had the time to assemble them, here are the preview pictures on how they look like built and some tips for anybody wanting to make them for yourself.

********************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Whatever animal you assemble from this series, they are basically made the same way: built from top to bottom.

Build the ears first, then the head, attach the front paws, the body, the 3D tail, the back legs and only after you have all of the body parts, take the inner clamp side, pre-bend it, put glue on the leftover flaps of the body, and slide & glue the clamp part inside the body and close it up that way.

That’s how I made all of my crafts you see and this is probably the simplest way to get this done and assembled.

***

NOTE: The papercraft includes all 3 colors shown. You have the brown, the white and the black colors that you can choose or build all 3 of them.

Bunny monitor sitter papercraft

Decided to make a series of so-called “monitor-sitter” papercraft toys. What this means is that they are basically figures that you can wedge on your laptop or PC screen and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will.

Really simple yet effectively textured papercraft models of different animals, that are smaller in size and fit a slim PC screen. Alternatively, you can also put them on any book cover, on a glass, a box edge, on a pencil case, etc., to make your room a bit more cheerful and fun.

***********

This one is a bunny design that comes in 3 different designs/colors: white, brown and black. The template is 12 cm small and has 1 page to print for each color (and all 3 colors are included in the premium template, of course). The design of the craft itself is pretty simple, since it’s so small, and you got the blank PDO included for the assembly, so no worries about that.
