Antyyy's papercrafts - COMMISSIONS

Antyyy’s Papercrafts aka Antyyy (me) has been and always will be open to any kind of papercraft or 3D modeling commissions. To sum up the process, prices and general info, I have listed the basics in here, so do read through if you are interested :)

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

What are commissions?

By commission I mean any kind of paid papercraft (template to assemble yourself) or 3D model (unrigged, no bones) that you would like to be made that hasn’t been done before.

The commissions can be whatever you choose, from existing anime characters, to made up fictional persons, animals, buildings, creatures, vehicles, anything and everything.

1 commission means 1 character/thing you would like to be made. If you would like 2 characters, that counts as 2 commissions, since there is double the work.

You can also choose for the papercraft/model to be either made from scratch (meaning I do the model and texture myself), or if it is an existing character, such as anime, I can also make them from existing models with official textures (if they are available, such as Pokemon, etc.).

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

What do you need for a commission?

You need 2 things:

  • The reference of what you would like to be made and all the details, including what pose, what difficulty, what colors, how big it should be unfolded to (if it is a papercraft), any other specifics you would like to be taken into account for your work, etc. I can make anything from pictures, so all you need is reference pictures, and I can make it into a papercraft/3D. The more detailed info you provide, the better I will be able to make it for you.

  • And a PayPal account, since I can only accept money deposits from PayPal, and there are no other paying methods except this one. Money can be either in EUR or USD (depending on the daily exchange rate EUR -> USD).

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

What is the price of a commission?

Price is determined by taking into account all the details you wish to be done: difficulty, height, detail, pre-existing edited model base or new model base, pre-existing texture or newly drawn texture, pose, components, etc. So, there is no universal price for a commission, be it papercraft or 3D model. But the prices are always reasonably low.

For loyal commissioners as well as commissioners with more than 1 commission, I also have a discount system, so those commissions always come at an even lower price.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

How does the process of a commission work?

  • First, you contact me for a commission per private note or message and we discuss what needs to be done and the price.

  • If the commissioner agrees with everything, it is paid for in advance with a deposit on my PayPal account (which I give you after I agree to take on the commission). After I received the deposit, I start on the work and finish it in the agreed timeframe.

  • During work, I show you the 1. phase, which is the 3D model (with pose, if there is one) on a 3D preview on Sketchfab, where the model can be inspected in details. If the model needs to be edited, I can edit it some more, and when the commissioner agrees with the way the model looks, I move to the 2. phase, which is texturing (adding color).

  • After that is done, I show you the textured preview of the model again for inspection, and if it is ok, I move on to unfolding it to the agreed height (if it is a papercraft). After the work is done, I contact the commissioner and provide a link with the files to download.

The 2 phases that get uploaded as previews on Sketchfab are to ensure that the commissioner always gets 100% what she/he wished for, that is why the commissioner is always a part of the work process. I take into account all the wishes and changes, if they need to be done, so the finished work is always to the utmost satisfaction of the commissioners.

3D model commissioners get the 3D model file (in any format they wish) with the textures (if they were made), and papercraft commissioners get the locked PDO file and 5 different PDF files of the pattern (lined and lineless, with and without colored flaps, as well as the edge ID for easier assembly).

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

If you agree with a commission (or pre-made papercraft) and pay for it, you also agree with my policy/terms of use:

The commission you receive, either papercraft or 3D model, will NOT be shared anywhere openly online, in any open group, private group, chat, page, site, forum or anywhere else. You agree, that if you share pictures of the papercraft (or videos, animation, work with the commissioned 3D model), you will provide me: Antyyy – Antyyy’s Papercrafts (https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy), as the designer of the work.

You will not re-sell any of my work, templates or rip/edit/steal any of the designs given to you.

I spend a lot of time on my artworks and do my best to make it 100% the way you want it to be. Please respect my intellectual property as such and treat my work with respect.

Nezuko (Kimetsu no Yaiba) built papercraft

Nezuko (Kimetsu no Yaiba) built papercraft

Finally managed to take some time and built this beauty :) You can now see her in all angles and in all her glory, and I can explain the process of how to make her the simplest way.

Btw. the template can be found here:

Since I always start my papercrafts the same way, I started from the top and made the whole face and neck first (stripe by stripe). Then I glued the back parts of the 2-sided hair, the back and 2 of the front ones, so I had the hair ready for assembly. When you got the face, I suggest you first glue the front 2-sided hair on the flaps, and then make your way to the back of the head. Since the head is open, it’s quite easy to attach the 2 2-sided hair parts at the end because you can help yourself with the hole. When the head is built, you can shape the hair a bit zig-zaggy as she has in the anime, like I did, so it looks original and once you glue the pink bow on, the head is done. (Btw. although the head is open at the back, you cannot see the hole because of the thick hair + it has no structural problems or anything, since I made the design sturdy and doesn’t need any extra reinforcement at the head part).

After the head, I made her mouthpiece, which is the small bamboo with the red threads. I do suggest you make it the way I did, because you can see the bamboo can be taken on and off. How to do it? Simply build the 3D bamboo piece and then thread a red rubber band through by cutting it apart and thread it on the inside of the head or around the head (make small incisions at those head parts with a bigger needle, that’s all you need). Make sure the band is long enough so it fits. I did thread it inside of the head, so that can be a bit tricky, but you can certainly tie it around the head easily so you can take it on or off. You can, of course, also use thread for this, not only rubber bands, but I found it to be the right thing for my build, since I attached it on the inside and it’s thicker and stronger than thread.

After this step, I made the 2 arms separately, with the fiddly fingers (which should be the fiddliest things to make out of everything), and I actually attached those at the very end, because it’s the simplest way to make it, trust me. So, build the arms and save them for later.

Then build the upper part of the torso, to the part where it touches the lower part of the kimono (at the hips) and glue it on the neck. Once you have that, you build the outer black kimono and slide it (CAREFULLY and take your time with this step!) on the upper torso with the head. Again, trust me, the pieces all fit like this at the end and to assemble the papercraft part by part like this is so simpler.

Now you have the head with the upper torso and the kimono (which I made with only the outer side and not the inner side, it is actually 2-sided, but since I have to budget my builds, I left that out to not have so much paper to print). Next you build the lower part of the kimono and the feet, again separately. The feet take some time, because of all the bumps of her “shoes”, but you’ll get there. And after you got those pieces assembled stripe by stripe, firstly glue the bottom kimono part on the upper torso where the hips meet.

Next, glue on the feet on the hips, inside the bottom part of the kimono (and since the legs are open where you need to glue them together, not only were they simpler to assemble that way, but you can also fill them with weights to make sure she doesn’t tip over). I did not need to fill her legs, since she stands like this perfectly, but you can fill them up with some smaller pebbles just to make sure – Super pro assembly tipgravel and pebbles are actually THE BEST weights you can put into papercrafts from my experience, since they are small enough to fit in every craft, they are heavy enough to make any papercraft stand - if it doesn’t stand just add more, AND they don’t make any mess at all since if build correctly they do not fall out of the papercraft.

The only thing left to do is to glue both arms inside the kimono, and since the parts of the upper arms are not visible at all, you can attach the arms right at the end and just pose them in a way you like, shove them really deep inside the kimono sleeves so only the hands show at the end, and you are finished.

Probably took me about 7 hours to make, didn’t time myself for this one, but it takes time and it’s not really THAT harder to make than other humanoid papercrafts, it only takes longer because of the leg parts etc. The fiddly parts are the fingers, but else, if you follow these steps, it’s actually easy to make, since most parts can be glued on at any step and can be assembled separately.

I hope you like it, if you have any comments or other questions, feel free to write me anytime or post your questions for the craft in the comments.

Happy crafting~

Celestial Owl (OC) built papercraft

Celestial Owl (OC) built papercraft

Another built papercraft to share with all of you, and this time it is my originally created character called “Celestial Owl”. It was a character I made up while being inspired by a cute plushie I saw in a gallery. You can check out the template and the info there:

The papercraft is about 20 cm tall and actually easier to make than I thought, since I made it upside-down from what I normally do, that means I started bottom to top. It is more logical with this papercraft, since the only fiddly parts are his legs, so you really want those to be neatly done and sealed at the end, so I started to make those 2 first and made my way up till the head, where I closed it at the end. Now, since it has a separate 3D body, the main body is actually done pretty fast. If you like, you can fill in some weights at the end to make it stand more firmly, but it can stand on its own 2 feet, because it is backed up by the cape at the end as well, so it stands no matter what.

After the body was done, I made the separate cape. As you can see it’s pretty simple since it’s open, but I did leave out the inner 2-sided side for the coat, since I didn’t have enough ink to print it at the time. So, with your coat you can make the starry inner part of the coat so it looks fancier as it does with mine :)

After the coat, I made the 2-sided wings, since they need to be glued on the cape. They are actually very sturdy if you make them 2-sided like they are, so you don’t need any extra support for them to stand, just bend them a bit and they hold their form. BUT, you can make them with my wire technique, and add wire in the middle, and glue the other part of the wire by making 2 small incisions in the cape and glue it on the other side. That way, you get moving, flapping wings. I obviously didn’t do it because I didn’t have the inner side of the cape printed out, so the wire would be visible from the inside, but I think it’s a very nice idea if you want moving parts to pose.

In any case, once you make the wings, glue those on the normal way, as I did, or with wire and put the coat with all the extras (such as the button on the cape, and the long veil) on the 3D body. All you need to do now is firmly attach the coat on it with the neck cape pieces and glue it on, so it is enclosed on the body, and the papercraft is finished.

Since it has the coat on firmly with the neck piece, it stands now on 3 points and it will not fall over no matter what. And the 2-sided veil also makes up for some extra balance and looks astoundingly noble and aristocratic XD love the veil thing really, it makes the whole character come to life.

I hope you liked it and do take a look at those cute details in the pictures and in the template.

Happy crafting~

Chinese Zombie chibi built papercraft

Here is the built papercraft of my Chinese chibi zombie. You can find the template info here:

It's actually a really neat papercraft to do, since it has many parts that can be added on last, so wherever you start to make it, it's gonna be fine. But, as always with my builds, I start from top to bottom. So first I did the simple detached hat and put the 2D 2-sided button on.

Then I made the head, starting with the face front part and gluing the back-hair part on it, till you get to the neck part. After the head is done, I did the 2 hands/sleeves really, and put them on the head and neck and the upper body part with the head was done. After I did the head part, I glued the 2D 2-sided braid on the back of the head, that can be shaped a bit as you want really, I went for a wavy look really.

Then I made the middle blue skirt and glued it in the inside of the hip part like that, since it’s open and can be easily glued on there. And then all you got left really are the feet, which can be a bit fiddly, but since the hip part is open, just close the papercraft at the hips like I did, and the papercraft is done. Put the detached cap on the head, and you have yourself a cute Chinese zombie :)

The only smaller parts that can cause trouble are the legs and the neck part. I suggest to reinforce the neck part on the inner side with rolled paper, so it doesn’t nick over or anything. For the feet, I suggest to do them separate, so you have an open hole at the waist part, where you can help yourself assembling it from bottom to top. That way you have a lot of space to really get a hold of the parts and glue them on right, and at the end just put the hips together with glue and it’s done.

It should stand just fine, but you can add additional weights in. I put some small stones in the feet just to be sure it won’t tip over, so I suggest you do the same when assembling it.

I hope you like the cute spooky guy and happy crafting~

Skeleton Pikachu built papercraft

Skeleton Pikachu built papercraft

Another built to show all of you, and since it’s Halloween, I am showing you my built Halloween special of “Skeleton Pikachu”.

Candy Cornn Candy Cornn Candy Cornn Candy CornnCandy Cornn Candy Cornn

The template and info can be found here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Skeleton-Pikachu-papercraft-859272528

The papercraft is about 23 cm tall, so it’s really relaxing and easy to make. I designed is really simple, since I wanted clean surfaces for the skeleton texture to show, so all parts are easy to make, the only “fiddly” part can be the feet since they have the smallest parts to assemble. I would give this papercraft a 5/10. It also took me about 5-6 hours to make, including cutting out pieces.

I started by making the 2 ears and hands separately and after I had those, I built the top part of the head to glue on the ears. After that you just follow down to the torso, gluing each stripe one by one on the body, and when you get to the torso, glue the arms on as well. I continued to assemble it, till I got to the last 3 pieces that you close at the bottom and the feet, since there is where you glue in the 2D tail first.

As always, as already told several times with my tips and tricks, I glued a wire inside the 2 parts of the tail, since it can be moved and it stands well that way. I glued the wire inside, and made sure that 1/3 of the wire stands out, so that part in glued on the inner side of the body. I did this by making a small incision on the back part of the body and put the tail through it, and after gluing the wire with tape on the inside. That way you got a sturdy, movable tail that is really cool looking and functional. It sounds harder than it is to make, you can see from the pictures how it goes in so you can try it for yourself :)

After the tail is on, all you have to do it close the craft on the bottom end with the feet (which is how I always do my papercraft, from top to bottom, since I find it easier and you can hide any imperfections at the bottom, where you can’t see it. I glued the 2 remaining parts and glued on the first foot, and closed it with the last 3. stripe of the bottom. Then I made the second foot in the hole, and close it at the bottom of the foots sole. And there you go, a complete and assembled skeleton Pikachu papercraft.

I hope you like it, if you got any questions or feedback, those are always welcome and you can write them in the comments on contact me per note.

Happy crafting everybody~

Chinese Zombie chibi papercraft

Last day till Halloween and since it's Spooktober and my favorite season, I have to share this one as well, also the last Halloween themed papercraft for this year. Actually, I really wanted to make a Chinese Zombie/Ghost/Vampire design for ages now and never had the time, so this year I had to make it no matter what.

Those of you maybe more familiar with Eastern mythology know this special Chinese design of a zombie (with the mantra tag on the hat, the special clothes, the special hat etc…). Sometimes they are also equally represented as a ghost or vampire, since probably Chinese lore doesn’t really separate them as much as the West do? In any case, I wanted to make a zombish yet cutish style papercraft that represents what I love to do, so here it is.

The chibi papercraft zombie is about 18 cm tall and has 4 pages to print. It is actually simple to make, since it consists of a 3D zombie body and a separate 3D hat that you just put on his head. It may be that the neck part is a bit hard to make, since it is a chibi and it has a large head, so I do suggest to additionally reinforce the neck from the inside. Apart from that, it has a 2D 2-sided braid that you just glue on the head as hair, and you can build the legs separately and glue them on last, so it’s even easier to make like that.

Skeleton Pikachu papercraft

Another Halloween special papercraft to share :)

BUT, before I start explaining the papercraft, I really have to say I was hesitant to post and even make this commission. This is an open commission I was asked to make, and the idea was actually from the page of the papercrafter called »Danyuu«. I really don't re-make work of others and copy things like this, but it was a commission I was asked to do from a good friend and I also have to admit I myself really like the idea of the skeleton Pikachu Halloween special, as well, so in the end I did decide to make it. So, if you have the time, look at the original craft of Danyuu on his page, he is giving it away as a dynamic of some sort, and the idea really came from his design. I did make it my own, I never copy anything 100%, since I always do things in my style, but the basic overall look is the same.

Continuing with the papercraft, it was unfolded to 23 cm, and has 6 pages to print. It is actually really simple to make, no small parts, just fiddly legs to make, since they have bumpy fingers, but that's about it. Tried to keep it simple and clean, so the texture can really get through, just as the commissioner wanted.

As you can see, the papercraft is made out of an attached 3D modeled body, and a separate 2D 2-sided tail. As with some of my Pikachu papercrafts, the idea of the tail is the same as with most of them. Since it's 2D, glue one end part of the wire in the inner parts of both sides of the tail and attach the other end of the wire on the inner side of his behind. That way the tail stands 100% and you get a simple yet effective way to move the tail around as you wish in any direction 360 ° :)
