However, in the last years, I have been following this really cute short animation called “You Shou Yan” aka “Fabulous Beasts” that is an actual original online animation of adorable mythical beasts and I completely love it! The animation is just so full of cuteness, vibrant colors, I love the funny character tropes, I love learning a bit of other legendary beasts and their history, the episodes are short so you can watch them anytime, and I just fell into it and I want to know how it all turns out!
The main character is called Tianlu (the blue Pixiu) and he has a twin brother which nobody knew about and that hides inside his belly XD (yes, that’s a thing in the anime, just watch it) called Bixie (the red Pixiu). Look it up, they are really short episodes (currently we are in season 6 already!) and if you love adorable fluffy animation styles, it’s a thing you got to see for yourself!

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 12 cm and has 6 pages to print out. It consists of 2 separate 3D models of Pixiu, the red and blue one. Each of them is made the same way; they both have a 3D horn, a 3D body and a 3D tail with add-on 2D fluff fur and eyebrows.
The only small parts are the 3D horns, everything else is easy to make. They also sit quite nicely because of the pose itself, but you can always put in some weights before closing it at the bottom anytime.
