Well, 25th August, so here we are again. Happy Birthday to me. Another year round and another year Antyyy's Papercrafts has been in business all this time :)

 *Have you already contacted your local legislator to suggest having this day made into an official papercraft public holiday in YOUR country? :D

 As I always say, thank you for everybody taking the time to support my work the right way. Meaning supporting my posts with nice comments, interactions, sharing posts or pictures of the assemblies you make AND crediting them, buying (and not supporting any kind of illegal copies of) my templates in my Ko-fi shop and overall respecting the work I put into them.

Papercrafting can be quite a handful, especially if you are putting effort into making them look really nice and be buildable at the same time. My hand-drawn and self-made 3D models of papercrafts always take a lot of time to finish, so every true supporter that shows their love is much appreciated, you don’t even know how much.

The papercraft community in the last few years is sadly still getting more toxic by the day and there are a lot of rude individuals not giving a damn about true craftmanship and sharing, ripping, stealing, editing or re-selling what is not theirs to do. - So again, as my only birthday wish this year, please, actually support your chosen few papercraft designers that are still left in the community and contribute to making their work count. Do not support illegal trades or re-sales, because you never know what illegal sale or trade will be the last tipping point for the artists deciding to not share any new papercrafts in the future, so don’t partake in any of it. Buy from the direct source, credit their work and link to their pages, and of course, try to leave supportive and encouraging comments and reviews of their crafts, because you don’t understand how much that means to us all.

Whoever is a part of the papercraft community for a longer time finds herself or himself looking for pages where to download templates that we want to assemble. And when doing so, we find a lot of fake/pirate/scam pages that sell stolen papercraft templates from other designers that put a lot of work into their art. Some even posing as the designer of the template themselves. Most of these pages offer papercrafts for sale that have been shared FOR FREE, and re-sell them for profit and their own gain by ripping people off. So, beware and read this well.

Support the designers you like! Support them by visiting their official pages they share themselves, interact with them (since a nice word, a compliment or a comment, means more to us than you’ll ever know), assemble our works, and if you really like them and want to continue to support their work and see more of them (not only papercraft-related artists, but everything in general), buy their work they are selling from their pages alone.

Papercrafts are a super cheap alternative compared to anything else related to anime figurines and the likes of them, and are more hard work to do the right way than even modeling or animation (but are not nearly as much appreciated). They are not self-evident and the work put into them should be respected the way their designers wish.

So, support the small community of papercrafters the right way and enable your favorites to continue their work by doing the right choices as well.

Bananya (Bananya) FREE papercraft

Bananya (Bananya) built papercraft

Wanted to share one of my older papercrafts with you, that is already available for FREE download in my gallery for a long time, and actually take the time to build it. It is a design from 2016 I made, but since nobody shares actual build papercraft pictures (or very, very few), I decided to make it myself, since it's quite fast to make, so here it is.

 

The papercraft has only 3 pages to print, since it’s quite small and easy. I made the cat body first, starting with the ears and all around the head, then making the small paws one by one and attaching them to the body. After that, I made the 5 banana peels one by one, attaching them to the body, and lastly closing the banana end with the stem. The Bananya papercraft is build, so all that was left is the stand (that is optional), since it doesn’t stand on its own and I didn’t want to hang the guy on a string.

The stand is quite easy as well really. I started to build it from the hole outwards, since it’s the easiest, and then you just close it at the bottom. If you do it all correctly, and you don’t even need to be that accurate with this one since the angle will do the trick itself, you have yourself a stand, where the stem of the banana end fits inside and holds the cat in place. Nice and easy. And you don’t need to reinforce it at all, since again the angle is just enough to make it stand perfectly without tipping over even if you don’t have weights in the stand part.

I think it took me about 4 hours to make it, including cutting out all the pieces, so it should be a very fast built for those who are used to the tricks of gluing paper together- BUT the 5 banana peels can be quite frustrating to put together, since they are so thin, so take your time when gluing them together, and when in doubt just pre-fold the peel parts to be sure where to glue it together to fit perfectly.

I have made the basic main white Bananya character, but I have made all 7 of the main Bananya anime characters, which are basically build and look the same as this one. You can download all of the 7 different designs here:

Lady Hayakawa (Samurai Warriors) FREE papercraft

Another FREE papercraft to download, thanks to the generous commissioner who wanted to share the papercraft for free with all of you, so you can now download it, if you would like to build it. 

 
The papercraft is from the character Lady Hayakawa, from the cool game Samurai Warriors. Spent a lot of hours myself unlocking all the characters in the game, and I really love it :D each of them in unique and you can also study Japanese history and war strategies in a fun non-boring way. 

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 28 cm tall and has 12 pages to print. She is posed as the reference picture you can see and has all the add-ons as well. The papercraft template uncludes a sepparate 3D model of Kayakawa (with some 2D add-ons to liven up the craft: hair strains, ribbons, scarfs...), her 3D rod (with 2D add-ons), and her 3D stand. Should be able to stand on her feet, but I would fill them nob-the-less, since she could be top-heavy and tip over because of the high-heel shoes.

It's FREE Friday, so today I have to post another free papercraft for you to download. So here it is! Since everybody loves the new Animal Crossing game (sadly I can't play it since my finances are very limited at the moment), I decided to make a quick and fun papercraft for you to download and make yourself. And since we all like to get money, I though why not make the iconic "Bell Bag" from the series myself. 

The papercraft is unfolded to about 13 cm and has 4 pages to print. The bag is made in 3D and the rope in 2D, so should be simple enough. I also included the locked PDO file, so additionally to the edge ID you can always look it up in the 3D PDO preview how to make it. 

Needless to say that this is my model and my own textures, so I made everything myself and it's not the originally model from the game (although I have some of the characters from the game, so if anybody needs a commission for those, just write me). Wanted to share a somewhat simple design, so a lot of people can make it with no worries and just have fun with it really.

So, all this Pokemon papercraft posting it getting quite old, don't you think? So for FREE-FRIDAY, I wanted to things a bit different than before :) So for all of you Yu-Gi-Oh! fans out there, I present you Joey Wheeler in downloadable chibi papercraft form!

Not a huge fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! myself really, but as you may or may not recently saw all the polls and things I was asking about what to do next, what you want to see more, etc., a very special "follower" (hope this doesn’t sound too rude) posted a wish to make a craft for birthday-related-reasons, which is in March, so this month! I want to show my appreciation, and I really do and I am thankful for all the followers and supporters! ESPECIALLY those, that do actually post feedback or pictures of built papercrafts - now these are rare to find (you know, the 99% vs. 1% rule of the Internet etc.)! And those are near and dear to me. And especially since I have very, very few that actually stick with me and my work for many years, since I am in the business a long time, I don't think I did show enough love and appreciation for them, so there is gonna be more of showing love for fans, starting this year!
 
The papercraft itself is 25 cm tall and has 9 pages to print. It has a 3D attached model of the chibi version of Joey Wheeler and some added 2D 2-sided misc to give it more oomph! The hand part to make is the hair part, since it's all 3D and some have smaller pieces, but it's gonna look amazing at the end because of the extra work, I guarantee.

There are some Yu-Gi-Oh! crafts out there, but none of Joey really, so I wanted to give it a try. The model as well as the textures are 100% made by me, since the ripped ones have totally crappy texture resolutions, and I didn't want to use those. An extra mile of work, goes a long way, since it's a kind of a "Thank you for the support" freebie.

Today is Pokemon Day!!!! The 24th Pokemon day in a row and people are hyped. We already got the release of the new Legendary Pokemon from the new Pokemon Coco movie, we got a top 10 Pokemon list of favorite Pokemon of all gens (though it is a Japanese one, totally, since you can see what top Pokemon are their, mine are completely different XD) but hey, let's get the hype going. So for this special occasion, I have decided to skip the "Free Friday" release forward to today, so you get a papercraft free to download, which isn't alavable in any other version on the internet so far. YOU GOT IT HERE FIRST PEOPLE, so let me share with you my Pignite papercraft!

The papercraft is about 20 cm tall and has 5 pages to print. Simple to make, maybe a fiddly tail since it's springy, but you can make the tail with a wire or pipe cleaning wire as well, and it would look even better that way (for a suggestion or tip for those that can't hande fiddly stuff etc.)

Hey people! Since it's the 2nd January and still a national holiday in my country, I wanted to share another FREE papercraft with you this week.

This time it's my very own handmade papercraft of »Puppycat« from the short cartoon »Bee & Puppycat«. He is a somewhat mix of a puppy and a kitty, and the animation is super cute XD although it has not many episodes and there is no finished season, you can find some gems of them on the internet. It has an Adventure time vibe to it, so anybody liking that will love this one as well.

 

The papercraft I unfolded now at 18 cm and it has 7 pages to print. The model is fairly simply made, 3D body, with a separate 3D collar, 3D bell and 3D eyebrows, so those have to be built separately and glued on the main body. The craft is from 2016 as well, so it's not as refined as the ones I make now, but I think it's a simple and doable craft that is super cute as well, so those wanting to make it can download it here (along with all of my other FREE papercrafts):

Happy holidays!

Since it will be my last post before Christmas and the holidays, I thought I would surprise all of my watchers with a special Christmas present for all of you, so here you go!

I wanted to share with you my design called »Scarlet Foxgirl« that I designed myself and is my original papercraft character, but I wanted it to reach 300 views before I would release it to see if people are even interested in it… So it has been almost 4 months from that and we still didn't get all the views, BUT since it is Christmas and I am personally leaving behind a very tough year 2019 with a lot of personal and work-related failures, as well as sadness, I wanted to share with you some of the positivity and happy feelings that papercrafts always give me, so I will be FINALLY releasing her as a special and FREE »Christmas present papercraft« for all of my watchers!

The papercraft is 40 cm tall and has 19 pages to print. It is an original design I made myself, with a base model of the foxgirl based off a the Blade and Soul game. She has a beautiful red dress, a cute fluffy tail and fluffy ears as well, so she is a perfect Christmas release as is :) And since it is Christmas and she is a bit more detailed to make, you get the PDF files as well as the PDO file to help everybody build her. Cramorant (Pokemon Sword/Shield) built papercraft

Another one of my creations, built and ready to be shows to the world :) I present you my Cramorant, from the new Pokemon Sword & Shield game, coming out sooonnn~ :D

 

I first did the head feather-piece, since it is fiddly to make, and I (BUILDING TIP? maybe) tend to make the hard parts first, so after that I can have more fun making them. Well that's my strategy at least, also because when I start I am more concentrated and rested than later in the built. Anyway, after that I decided to make the beak, since I wanted it to be nice and clean, since it is the center piece and from there made the whole head till his 2-sided feathers on his neck. 

After I had that I decided to do the next fiddly pieces, which are the wings. Pretty tricky really, since they are super tight and in the folded flaps PDF you sometimes don't have all the finishing lines, coz Pepakura does that to near edges, so I had to cut them in the inner parts by feel (SUPER PRO TIP: if I had the uncolored PDF flap file that wouldn't be a problem, but then I don't tend to get the good results at the end, because colored flaps let you a 5mm fault safe, so you still have the vibrante colors of the papercraft - wihtout having to recolor them at the end -, even if you glue it together 5mm too far, so I suggest you always use the colored flap PDF's for really flawless results, such as this. Putting in more effort when building always makes the end result worth your time). So after I got those I was super happy, because those were the hardest parts of the fold and I did those really neatly :D so I was happy. After those I made the sepparate 2 feet, and then the tail. After I had those parts, I started to build it from tail, though the legs, and at the end attached the wings on the lower bodypart (wings after they are built attach really nice and easy, so no worries the won't hold or anything, they will with no reinforement needed). And as soon as I got the body, I attached it at the neck part with the head (since you can do easily, because of the 2-sided feathers on his neck, so you can finish the craft with open edges, nice and simple). And violla, it was finished :) Just the few finishing touches at the end, which I always do at the end, since those little cosmetic 2-sided things tend to fall off when you are building it, so I always glue them on at the end.

The papercraft also stands with no problems at all, since he has 2 nice big flappy feet, so you don't need to extra reinforce it or put weight in it. And he looks his clumsy, adorable body self as he is :)
