Let me tell you, this papercraft has been in the making for 3, 4 years now XD Well, not so much in the making, but actually sitting in my “idea folder” and already modeled and then it just waited for the textures and I completely forgot about it. BUT this year, I finally cleaned up some of my old files and found this cutie, so I decided to finally make it and release it as well :D
This is a so-called dollhouse, for people not knowing it. It’s basically a 3-wall house you can have to play with your dolls, Barbies etc. I used to have quite a few Barbie and Bellvie ones when I was little, and I loved making houses and whole cities with my Lego as well. So, the idea was, that you can basically also make a functional dollhouse out of paper as well.
The papercraft is unfolded to about 30 cm and consist of a whooping 36 pages to print! It has tons of optional add-ons, since I made so much furniture options and extra windows/items along with it that you can just leave out. Basically, we got 4 rooms: the living room, the kitchen, the child bedroom, the attic and the balcony outside, and you can re-arrange or put in whatever you want. As long as you reinforce the hollow walls of the dollhouse (just put in some cardboard or leftover sheets of thicker print paper), you can use it for years to come and the kids will love it, since it’s very creative and colorful.
