so, I had to make at least 1 of the cuties and show all of you how it looks and how it can be assembled. Here we go.
*******************************
ASSEMBLY TIPS:
Since all of the Aranara has their own hat, you can divide any of them into 2 separate parts: the body and the hat.
For the hat itself, just make it normally from bottom to top to make it simpler. Then, before doing anything, glue the feathers on the top FIRST. For the feathers, *pro-tip 1: use flat wire and glue the 2 yellow feathers on there and then pull them inside the hat to glue them at the right angle with tape there. That way the feathers will hold in place and won’t fall over (you can also see the wire I used in the assembly preview on the backside, so you know how it looks). Glue on the middle bud part next. Then, LASTLY, glue the divider part inside the hat to make the stand for the hat hold in the right place. You need the divider to 1. make the hat stand on the head and 2. be placed high enough on the head, so you can still see the whole head of the Aranara.
Then it’s time to make the Aranara body. Make the: 2 ears, the 2 hands and the 2 feet all separate before doing anything else with the body. That way, you can simply glue on these parts as you assemble the body from top to bottom. And when you are about to close the legs/bottom part, you can *pro-tip 2: put weights inside the bottom to make it sit nicely. I always use small pebbles to do this, because they fin in every small papercraft hole and are still heavy enough to make it stand the way it should.
Lastly, you make the middle stand for the hat, where you glue on the hat divider on one side, and the other side on the head top and there you go. Your very own Genshin Aranara papercraft
