But what’s left to do now is to show the preview of how the assembly looks and how it’s built as well, so here you have it :)

  

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 17 cm (including the height of the ears, so I would say about 15 cm base) and has 3 pages to print out. It includes all the PDF versions as well as the blank PDO files – as do all of my papercrafts – but I always like to explain a bit and give some extra tips & tricks on how to make it the easiest way.

       

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

You start off by making the face part with the neck first. After that is finished, glue the hair parts on, starting with the front bangs till the back of it and at the end you can close the head with the last hair part.

Next you can do the separate 2D hands, arms, 2D ears and tail so you have them ready when needed. You start off by gluing the neck part of the body on the already made head. And then add the arms on there and build along till the part where the tail is, so glue the tail on. And after the tail is attached, build the remaining pants to the end. When the whole head + body is done, you can glue on the hands on the right position you want, and add the ears and the neck collar.

All that is left to do now is glue the pre-made separate legs of the craft on the inside of the pants. Before doing that, fill up the legs with weights so it stands better. *Pro-tip: As with all of my papercrafts, I always use small pebbles to fill the inside of a craft to make it stand. Try it out, they are really neat, small but heavy enough for any of them.

Glue the legs with the weights on the inside with the remaining flaps and make sure you adjust the angle of the legs the right way so they are even and the papercraft can stand on its own. And it’s done.

    

*Note that I did make the assemble papercraft in the preview without the colored inside of the front hair-bangs. The PDO template has all of those options included and can look even neater when used.

I hope you like the end product as much as I do. All 9 of the Eeveelution bunch are unfolded in a relevant height, so they fit together as a whole group as well :)

As some of the older followers maybe remember, I did release a human-based Eeveelution papercraft series before. But since I did those ages ago, they have been removed in the 2.0 clean-up 3 years ago, because they just weren’t up to my design standards anymore and I do not sell older designs that were illogical to assemble, not 100% made by me or were just plain ugly.

HOWEVER, in light of the new Scarlet and Violet game that is going to be released at the end of this year (and some speculations of a new Eeevee form?), I decided to do a re-make of the human-based Eeveelution line and base them on chibi humanoid crafts – since they are more adorable, so why not :D. The idea came when I was browsing some Eeevee illustrations online, so I based my idea on those and made them in my own way.

   

As seen from the preview pic, this is the Umbreon equivalent in chibi human form :) The papercraft template itself is unfolded to a heigh of 17 cm and has 3 pages to print. Really easy to make with the 2D hands and an overall simpler box-like design that can be assembled in at least 4 separate parts: the head, the torso, the tail and the legs can all be made separate and simply glued together at the end.

      

I made all 9 of them so they fit together in size and assembly design, and I will be releasing them periodically. They can all be found in my Pokemon papercrafts folder here:

All of them are very easy to make, since they all have 2D hands and open back-hair (which is not seen when assembled, so no worries) that makes the hardest part, the head, really simple to assemble. The neck part is the most vulnerable part of the built, so I do suggest to reinforce that part with some curled-up paper or wires from the inside to make it hold, just to make 200% sure it doesn’t snap because of the weight.

Laharl (Disgaea) built papercraft

When I released the preview template of Laharl, I did promise to make some assembly pics, so people can see the pictures of the papercraft in all-natural. So here is the cutie :)

   

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 37 cm, so without the stand and the 2 standing antennae/hairs it should be about 24 cm tall, so on the bigger side of papercrafts in general, which also means no real small parts to look out for.

The papercraft, as all of the ones I am making and selling, includes the different PDFs and blank PDO files you get along with it + the assembly tips I wrote in here. However, it was an extremely difficult papercraft to make, so I recommend this only for experienced crafters. The 2 hairs and the scarf do need to be made with wire in order to stand, and making that scarf around the small, small neck and that small, small waist and limbs are truly a nightmare XD I though the thing would not be able to stand, because I did the error in using the same thickness of paper for the hairs and scarf, which made it very top heavy, so the whole leg part had to be filled out with weights. Better listen up anybody buying this file and trying to make it for yourself, so you don’t make the same mistakes I did :D

          

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As you can see from the template, it is made out of a lot of separate parts, the main ones would be the Laharl 3D model, the 3D stand, his 2D 2-sided scarf and 2 2D 2-sided standing-up hairs. So best way is to assemble each of the parts separate and at the end add all of those on there.

Start by making the face part with the ears and neck first and then glue the front hair bangs on first. When you have this, start with the backside of the hair from bottom to top, so at the end you can close the head above (*Pro-tip: Because the hair is pointy at the end, make sure you pre-bend them before gluing them together and on, because that way it will look neater. I do not pre-bend any other parts, except these and the white flaps you glue the pieces together – that way the end model looks extremely clean and smooth and not boxy). But before you close the head completely with the last upper part, make the 2 standing-up hairs by gluing a wire inside of them and leaving a portion of it dangling out. Glue those dangling parts of the wire inside the head on the position shown in the PDO file and glue them on really neatly and use gorilla-tape if necessary, so they won’t fall off when you move them. *Pro tip: Using wire inside the hair will make them stand up and you can pose them in whatever position you would like. Be sure to give it a try. Also, since this papercraft is very top-heavy, print the antennae/hairs part on thinner paper than the other pieces, so it doesn’t get that heavy at the end.

When this is done, start making the 2 arms separately and then glue them on the first part of the torso at the start of the neck, but don’t close it. Leave it open, so you can attach it on the neck of the finished head you did before and close it on. Next built the remaining torso part to the end and set aside.

Now, you have to attach the most difficult part of the craft, the 2-sided craft. It is very heavy and big, so be sure to take your time, and again, print it on thinner paper so you won’t have so much problems with it later on. When you make the scarf ends, be sure to also use wire inside them (as you did with the 2 hairs) so it holds its shape and can be bent into any position you like + giving you extra support to make Laharl stand up as well. When you have the 2 ends of the scarf glued together on a wire, use those extra hanging out parts to glue it really firmly on the neck part of it (but make sure it’s not closed yet, because it needs to be put around the neck of Laharl in order to glue it together and make it stand). Additionally, use gorilla-tape, as I did, so it holds its place and it is really sturdy for the support as well. When they are firmly glued on the neck part of the scarf, put it around the neck and close it at the back – the trickiest part of the maneuver, because the ends need to be 100% glue on there so they do not fall off and you need to fiddle around the upside-down torso for it to be fitted on. Take your time and glue it 3-times if necessary.

At the end, the scarf should hang loosely around the neck, with both ends firmly glued in place. This way it will help as an additional stand for the papercraft at the end and it will look nicely, so don’t fear if it’s hanging a bit loose now, because we are not finished yet.

What remains now is to make the leg parts. What I did, and what is easiest to balance it out at the end so it stands nicely, is to divide the leg parts into 2 separate parts that you glue at the end. Make the shoes separately (but without the white-black parts and the cap) and then make the whole bottom part with the feet separately (and glue the white-black parts and the cap on here). Fill the whole inside part of the shoes with strong weights and fill the bottom with weights, so it’s almost filled to the edge. When you have the bottom part with the weights, gently take the already made head and torso with the scarf and glue it on there with the remaining flaps and hold for as long as needed for the glue to really dry completely so it holds. And once that is done, glue the remaining shoes on the body and adjust the angle of the papercraft, with the scarf balancing it out and let dry.

All that you need to do now is to add the remaining 2 bracelets and glue them on the backside of the arms, the 2D belt part and the simple 3D stand and you are done.

     

Quite the challenge I have to say myself. The character itself is very thin, so you really have to know what you are doing and be patient with the wire parts and gluing that on. One of the more difficult papercrafts I did in quite a while :D

*Note: I made the scarf with only the outer part. The files, however, also include the inner red part of it, so it looks neater assembled at the end with that option as well.
