Another open papercraft commission I made quite a few months back. It’s “Yoko Littner” from the amazing anime “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann” in chibi form.
The commissioner wanted me to base the chibi papercraft form an old template they sent pictures from, but of course I had to make my own twists and turns and do my own spin on it, so it’s not a complete copy, since I don’t do those.
The papercraft itself is unfolded to 23 cm and has 6 pages to print. With the stand and the rifle, the main papercraft of Yoko herself should be about 18 cm tall. The template consists of a really simple 3D chibi model of her and some add-ons, a 3D stand (since the way the legs are posed, she can’t stand without it), as well as 2 options for her sniper rifle, a 2D and a 3D version. All in all, the chibi papercraft is really simple to make, since the hands are 2D and flat as well, and there are not smaller parts to glue together as well.
