Yani Neko (Chainsmoker Cat) built papercraft

Already posted my Yaniko papercraft template:

And now it’s time to give you some pro-tips on how to make life simpler when building her yourself. Let’s go.

**********************************************************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the ears and hair, the 2 arms, the T-shirt, the legs, the pants with the upper torso and the misc/cigarettes, crocs, and ashtray.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then you glue on the front hair, make the 2 ear separately and glue on, and only then close it with the back hair. After this, you can glue on the neck and upper skin torso and set aside.

Next, you can separately build the 2 arms, with either the 2D or 3D hands (*Note that I did the preview pics with the 2D version of the hands). When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the T-shirt. The shirt needs to be made with the intersecting flaps of the skin torso around the neck, and then make the first few lines of the shirt till you get to the sleeve holes. Make the 2 sleeves separately and glue them in the holes, and then make the whole remaining shirt to the end.

Set this aside again and make the butt with the pants and belly part separately, by putting it together from bottom to top. Once you have the hole for the tail, make the tail separately as well, and put it in with some additional tape from the inside, so it holds well. Make the 2 legs separately as well, and once you have them, crumble up the top part of them a bit, so you can slide both legs inside the pants and glue them at the right angle like that. The inner side of the legs inside the pants is not visible at all, so it doesn’t matter and it’s the easiest way to do so.

Once you have the pants, legs and belly, glue the belly/beginning of the boobs on the inside of the shirt part at the right angle.

Take the 2 arms you did before, and slide them with glue on the flaps inside both sleeves you did at the right angle and place them like that. That way, the arms will be simple to pose at the angle you want and it’s the simplest way as well.

All that is left is to do those small cigarettes, the cigarette butts, the ashtray, the box and the 2 crocs for her props. The crocs fit on her feet, so you can put them on or off (no need to glue them unless you want to), and you can glue a cigarette in her hand as well, because she smokes all the time anyway XD

*Note: The papercraft preview is made with 2D hands. The files for printing-out have both the 2D and 3D hand versions, so you can choose which ones to make.

Pokopia Ditto (Pokemon) papercraft

Anybody living on this planet and being online in the last year knows about the new banger Pokemon game “Pokopia”. SoOo0 awesome, so0Ooo unique, so fun, hours and hours of fun; and I HATE it XD I despise the minecraft-esque pixel imitation of world building games so much, I hate each and every one of those games trying to emulate the pixelated DOS games from my childhood! >_< I can’t lie, what can I do. HOWEVER, I adore the new Pokemon designs, although they are somewhat sad and dystopian from the game, but they are new and fun, so I can appreciate that. AND I also like to make things that other people love and what makes them happy, so what better papercraft than the Pokopia human Ditto from the game!

**************

The papercraft is unfolded to 11 cm and has 4 pages to print out.

It consists of a 3D model of the human female Ditto. The Ditto has a separate simple 3D head and torso, separate legs with shoes you glue on the inside of the torso, a 3D backpack, a simple hat, and simple 3D attachments for the 2D 2-sided hand options, so it’s easy to make.

The papercraft has optional poses for the 2D hands you can choose from, 3 hair forms, a mouth closed and open face option, and then you have 7 different colors for each part, just as the customization from the start of the game. Obviously I could not add all of the colors and parts, so I chose what ones look kinda cute and all that.

The arms include: normal hands down, waving hands, fists, leafage wines and rock smash red gloves.

The hair includes braids, tails and you can leave those 2 out and make a basic male version hairdo as well. The hair colors include: blond, black, pinkish, brown, dark green, cyan blue and purple.

The hat, torso, backpack, legs and shoes have the following colors: yellow, cyan, dark blue, green, red and purple.

The idea of all of these options is to choose the color of the part you want and build it in. The ZIP files comes with 7 different PDF options to print out, each color group in the same PDF file to print out, so it’s up to you to find the option that looks best for you (:
