Saw some humanoid Pokemon illustrations online, so I got the inspiration to make one of the most elegant Pokemon, Gardevoir, into a humanoid papercraft. And here she is.
I went for a more pinkish, Sakura-feel to it, since I think this »girly« visual does suit her original design pretty well.
The papercraft itself is unfolded to 24 cm with the long bows, so the model itself it probably 21 cm high. It consists of a 3D model of the humanoid Gardevoir OC, as well as a lot of 2D 2-sided add-ons such as various bows, Sakura pins, and 3 layers of her kimono-esque dresses.
The papercraft does have 2 stumpy legs to stand on, but in addition to that, she also gets support from the 2D 2-sided long bow at the back that goes all the way down, which gives enough support to make the figure stand that way. The fiddliest part would be the head and the 3 fingers, else it’s just a bit longer to make, since she has all those dress layers and the add-ons that are glued on, but nothing too hard to make. I would give it a 6/10.
