Bojji (Ousama ranking) built papercraft

Needless to say, I freaking LOVE this anime so much. So!!! I had to make this before everything else. My papercraft of »Bojji-ouji« and his best friend »Kage«, from the awesome anime called »Ousama ranking« aka »Ranking of kings«.

The papercraft template comes with 3 different Bojji papercrafts, but I only made 1 of them for the assembly preview, the one I liked most. You can view the template and all the ad-ons and additions here:

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

The papercraft itself is unfolded to a 20 cm height with the stand, so probably about 17-18 cm tall separate Bojji papercraft, a really big grass stand with additional grass to glue on, a separate log for deco or for the 1. version of the Bojji papercraft to sit on (look at the template), and a separate and really easy 2D Kage.

I first made the stand, since it’s really big and has to be filled out or made with additional cardboard or harder paper to really hold the figures on them (especially if you put weight inside Bojji’s legs to make him stand better). So, for the stand I do suggest to make it with cardboard pieces that you put inside before closing it at the bottom, like I did. And when you have that, glue the remaining deco grasses on it to make it look really nice. I like the stand very much, since papercraft grass is always very satisfying to make.

Next, I went and made Kage. Really simple design where you just glue the extra backside of his arms on and the eyes and you should be done in 30 min max for that, including paining the flaps and white edges like I do to make it look better at the end, just in case.

Then you have the simple tree log that is an ad-on to the stand. If you make a standing-version Bojji you don’t really need it, but it’s a very cute addition to the grass terrain for the papercraft. You start with the branch and glue it to one side and close it on the other. Simple stuff, you just follow the PDO instructions that come along with the template I made.

And lastly, since he is the highlight and the most “complicated” craft, I made Bojji. I always start with the head, making the face first, then the hair bangs that I glue on the face, and the you make your way to the back of the head, gluing each piece of the hair and finally closing it at the neck part.

Next, I made the cape and the backside of the cape separately, and glue it together, making a nice green edge so none of the white paper edges are visible. Once you have the cape, glue that to the already made head and you got half of the work done.

Then make your way to make the arms. Since he only has stumps and his 2-sided hand are only glued on and bent in position, they should be really easy to make. Move on from each hand to make the combined torso all the way down to the edge of his blue shirt. Once you have the torso with his blue shirt and the arms, you glue the neck part inside the neck part of the already made head with the cape. The hole is very generously made, and there should be no problem fitting those 2 parts together. As said, it’s all visible in the PDO instructions when you get the bought files for it. Simple stuff.

Note that here, at this point, the neck should be reinforced with a leftover paper tube that you curl up inside the neck, just to be sure it holds firmly and even if it falls down it won’t break or bend. So, always fill out any papercraft you are making to make it last ages so it never falls apart!

When you got the torso joined with the head, all you have to do is make the remaining legs. Build those opposite the direction of the head, so start with the shoes and make your way up to the waist. Once you got that, you can fill in his legs with weights (I always use small pebbled or gravel, depending on how big of a hole I have to fill and hold) so he stands even better. The papercraft does stand without weights, but it’s always better to fill it out so it doesn’t tip over if you accidentally bump into it etc. And when the legs are filled in, glue the built torso with the legs, and there you go. The Bojji papercraft is all finished and ready to be displayed wherever you want :)

Hope you are enjoying the anime and the papercraft I made along with it. For any inquiry (be it buying my papercraft templates, a private commission, or tips and tricks for assembly), just write me a private note on here or any of my papercrafting pages. Enjoy and happy crafting~

Bojji (Ousama ranking) papercraft

Here he is! The cute little »giant« prince from the awesome anime »Ousama ranking« aka »Ranking of kings«. Love the anime, since it's so different and with special animation and an awesome story that drew me in from episode 1., so I was especially motivated to do this open commission.

As mentioned, this papercraft was made as a commission for somebody, and they allowed me to make it into an open, re-sold papercraft. The papercraft idea was actually based off an already existing papercraft from a Chinese designer, which the commissioner wanted to be copied. And since I never make actual 100% same copies of ANY design whatsoever, and I explained that to the commissioner as well, they were fine for me to make this papercraft into a special design that fits my esthetics and model it the way I think it looks best. And the result can be seen as this preview :)

The papercraft is unfolded to 20 cm and has 15 pages all in all. The template has 3 different separate Bojji-ouji papercrafts (in a happy pose, a sitting and eating pose that can be sat on the log, and a waving and standing pose with his green travelling cape), a separate 3D stand with 2-sided grass, a separate log that is simply glued or put on the stand, a super simple 3D design of Kage (Shadow), his best friend and demon, and a 2D meat you can put in his eating pose hands. All the Bojji papercraft are made in the same simple style, a 2D crown that is just glued on, same as his 2-sided hands that are simply glued on the stumps of his arms, the hair in the front that is glued on the back head and stands apart from the face, and the other 3D simple body. The 3rd Bojji also has his green cape, that is a simple 2D 2-sided design that is glued on his neck part. Really simple design, made to be assembled in an easy way, with no smaller or fiddly parts.

I am super excited to get 1 of these Bojji-ouji papercrafts assembled for myself, since I really want to display this in my papercraft display-case! Then you’ll also be able to see how it looks built, since it’s really adorable XD

If you don’t know the anime yet, WHY DO YOU NOT KNOW IT? :D Seriously, easily the best anime that came out last year and I really recommend it to anybody that loves anime. It’s really fun and special.

Since I got so much work to do, and it always takes effort to find time to assemble my papercrafts (though I really want to speed it up but can't... 1 person can only do so much work alone), it’s still far off from being photographed and posted in my gallery. But I do hope you like it till now and you’ll wait to see the finished result till then and maybe give it a go yourselves.

Enjoy and happy crafting~
