 I have made quite a few Digimon papercrafts in these years, because I love the concept and I loved the anime as a child as well. Fell in love with the first series and never looked back. Hook, line and sinker. But what really made me a super fan in these last few months and I really wanted to get into some new amazing papercrafts, was the new game »Digimon: Time Strangers« that is just soooo amazing! I love the ridable feature, I love the story, I love the new redesigns and details on existing Digimon, I love the lore and holy Digimon, I love the easy upgrade system with learnable and detachable attacks, it's just such an awesome RPG! (POKEMON, TAKE A NOTE MF!!!)

And, since my first Digimon that I instantly fell in love with as a child was Gatomon (as you can see from the papercrafts I already did XD), I decided to do it’s digivolution form some papercraft-justice and make a really awesome-looking cool-pose craft that really took some time to make. And here she is: my Angewomon papercraft!

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 41 cm and has 18 pages to print out (3 of them being optional double-sided color pages for the inner hair and pink scarf).

The papercraft has a 3D model of Angewomon, with simple-ish yet still 3D attached wings, a 2D scarf, a 3D bow and arrow for her holy arrow attack, various 2D add-ons (breast armor, belts), optional simple 2D or 3D hands, and a 3D stand with 3D pink crystals she can lean and stand on.

*I also did a small sneak peek of the face I did for her, since the mask armor I made is detachable. The anime and game character does not have an actual face (the mask IS the face), it is not canon, but I did want to design one for it, so you can put the mask on with magnets to detach it as well.

*NOTE: The papercraft is very difficult to put together!

All of the main 8 wings are 3D and attached with a stem on her back, so those need to be reinforced with wire or curled-up paper on the inside, or tape on the inside. The wings also have a second, 2D part that is glued on the front side of them, which makes the wings even heavier.

The scarf would also need to have either an invisible wire, or it has to be made with somewhat thicker paper than the rest, so it can hold its shape above her head.

The mask armor on her face is a separate piece and is meant to be attached with a magnet. You glue one magnet on the inner side of her face, and one magnet on the inner side of the mask, so it can be detached and attached later on.

The way she leans and stands on the crystals also needs to be additionally glued on held in place with wire, so she doesn’t tip over, because she is very top-heavy with the wings. All in all, some parts need additional attaching so they don’t snap off, so I do suggest the assembly for experienced papercrafters only.

Those of you playing the game surely know Angewomon is a GOAT buffer for the team in the late stages, and her holy arrow and later Magnadramons holy flame do anywhere from 200-500% damage to the late-game bosses! You HAVE to have them in the team, not only for the attacks, but just look at her!?!?! She is gorgeous, and I love her design.

Emilia (Re Zero) papercraft

 

 I think allll the way back in 2018 I made the first version of Emilia from the anime Re:Zero and also made the assembly along with even shittier pictures than I make now with my 10 year old phone XD Well, since update 3.0 I don’t do shitty anymore, at least I try not to, and since I removed her but really like the anime, I wanted to make another, better-er version of her. And here it is!

The papercraft is unfolded to 34 cm and has 9 pages to print out (1 being an optional double-sided print page for the inner side of the dress).

It consists of a 3D model of Emilia with a closed 3D hair braid, with a separate 3D crystal stand, some simple add-ons such as her hair pins and frills, a simple 3D crystal in her hand with 2D smoke and optional 2D or 3D hands.

It is somewhat harder to make, because she has a small hook on the crystal you have to attach her onto, so probably either additional wire or magnets. The pose is also somewhat complicated and the hair will probably need reinforcing with some tape on the inside, so the top-heavy head doesn’t snap off.

*I did decide to make her in her old anime clothes from season 1, well, because, I hate the new design XD the dress looks soooo much better on her and makes her really cute. Hate the weird purple jumper thing (the cat ear hoodie is super cute though, but not worth modeling for me XD) =_=

New PC, some time off, free papercraft downloads 

 

 Hello beautiful people!

 

Heads up that my work PC recently broke down and I am currently transferring all of my programs and stuff I am working with and on, on a new laptop. It will take some time to set it up, and it´s the summer time anyway, not much going on.

 

I therefore decided to close commissions foreseeable till the beginning of September. That way I can get some much needed rest and set up my new rig in peace. (I will also go on vacation in the middle of September, so that week I also won´t be working, but that will get updated in another post when the time is right).

 

For anybody wanting to order or inquire a commission, these will be open starting September again, so you´ll have to wait in the meantime.

 

The work will pile up anyway and since I said I will prioritize my health over anything else, the work is slower but therefore the way it should be and more quality-rich. The backlog on things I made months ago is also, finally, depleting, so there might be weeks that I will not have anything to post as new stuff. And that is completely OK.

 

I am only 1 person working on these huge projects, papercrafts take time and dedication, as anybody ever working on an assembly alone knows, and you need a lot of patience and time for them. No machine is ever going to replace the work I put into my papercraft designs, and I will never use AI stolen slop in 2D or 3D form. The work I do stays manual and it always will, therefore taking much time to make them. If you do not like the way I work or think, you may happily choose another papercraft designer and enjoy their work or do your own designs (:

The way I do things, is the way I do things, and I will never support stolen AI crap they are shoving into our faces as “necessary work evolution” and destroying the only beautiful natural resources for us to life on and off of, the one actual evolution that took millions of years to develop and they think because they have their “money” concept we somehow value and live by, they can destroy it in a few decades. FU alllll the way!

Since I already released most popular Sanrio characters, I also decided to make the little Twin stars Kiki (the boy) and Lala (the girl).

The papercraft is unfolded to 10 cm height and has 6 pages to print out. It has a separate 3D figure of Kiki, Lala and a 3D stand in shape of a star with their title on it.

The papercrafts of both the boy and girl and made the same, the hands are simple 2D parts, so are the ears and the hair puffs on the top of their heads, everything else on the body is 3D but really simple to make. The stand is optional.

Long Miku (Hatsune Miku) papercraft commission

A somewhat weird papercraft commission this was XD tough I think she looks kinda cute her own way. This is a reference to 1 internet post ages ago, about a 3D print of this very long-limbed Hatsune Miku figure you can see in the picture, and that the commissioner wanted to be made into a papercraft template. Well, since I say anything can be made into a papercraft, I did just that, and her she is!

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 38 cm and has 8 pages to print out.

It consists of a 3D model of Miku with 3D hair tails. The sleeves are also hollow and don’t have any arms inside, but the overall figure is quite fiddly to make, because it has very thin limbs that need reinforcing. The tail parts on the bottom do serve as extra anchors to hold her upright, so overall it should stand nicely with weights inside the legs.

Each 2D part also has a double-sided print page, so the colors are also seen on the inside of the hair and her skirt, for a PVC-figurine-like look.

The base of the 3D hair tails converges to 2D parts at the bottom. The tails would be too complicated to make in full 3D, since this is a papercraft and not a printed figure. Buildability is most important, since at the end of the day, it needs to be able to be put together with printed paper parts.

This is all part of the commissions, where you need to be knowledgeable enough to tell the commissioner the best solution to the things they want made, yet still uphold the overall visuals they want to get with them. It takes years of experience, but I’m there, and I explain everything along the way with each project like this. Everything is done in dialogue with the commissioner, as it should be (: So, even projects like PVC figures can be made into papercrafts, if you have an idea like that for your own project.

Dark Pretty Cure (PreCure) papercraft

So, from all of the over 100 different Pretty Cure/PreCure designs in the last 20 years you can think of, who do you think is the coolest and most badass character of them all? …OBVOUSLY ITS DARK PRECURE, ddduhhhhh, no other answers are correct, period! XD

Dark Precure, for me, is the pinochle of anime design, especially with MadHouse animating the Heartcatch Precure series then, which also made Casshern Sins. The animation is J-U-S-T S-O G-O-O-D, it’s a masterpiece. And the overall series is so dark, and people actually dying in the story!!! So badass, I love it forever and ever.

And those of you out there know, I already made a papercraft design of her waaaay back when I visited Japan for the second time (I visited waaay before it was cool and they started hating gaijin, so calm down copycats XD). But, as stated in my cleanup project 3.0, I have deleted the old design of her, because it wasn’t good and my skills gotten way better since, so I had to make the most ultimate badass papercraft figure to honor Dark Precure and her amazing badass look! And here she is, in all of her black, dark, demonic glory!

Moving on to the papercraft itself, it is about 23 cm tall (with stand) and has 6 pages to print out (1 of them being an optional double-sided print page). Wanted to make her big but not too big. She has a 3D body with a separate 3D magic stick, a 3D bow at the back, her 3D dark demon-like wing (which you will definitely have to put together with wire in it to make it stand, or reinforce it another way), a 3D stand for her and some overall 2D two-sided parts to really make it shine.

I put special care into making the texture really stand out and pop out. I really wanted to pay tribute to her character, since I love her so much XD and I have always had her 3D PVC Figma figure from Japan on my desk. True peak anime design at its best!

As it is written in my business policy »Antyyy’s Papercrafts« is also doing 3D model commissions. For quite some time now, actually. But whatever I do, the commissioners don’t want it to be shared openly. But this time again, I can show you what I can do with mesh and polygons and hand-drawn textures (;

The amazing https://www.deviantart.com/miriacroissant wanted me to make her very own OC hand-drawn “Colette” Pokemon lady (in disguise) she drew all by herself (go look at her page, she does such cute drawings and illustrations and go comment something nice so she knows what amazing art she can make)! You can see one of the frontal concept arts of her as a reference. She wanted me to make this adorable drawing into a 3D model that can fit into the “Pokemon Masters EX” series and has the same style and vibe like all the other trainers in the game. So, that’s what I did.

The whole thing is made by me, referencing existing Pokemon Master EX models from the game, so I could make her in the same style as them.

The 3D model itself and all of the textures are hand-drawn. The model is a basic low-poly 3D model and it has 4 UV-maps and textures for each part. The face also has differently drawn eye expressions, so when it is rigged and animated, she can convey different expressions with them.

As you maybe remember, I already did a S-Snake seraphim papercraft quite some time ago. But as written there as well, I was very unhappy with the overall look and face especially, since there were no good references then and the anime angles were really weird.

BUT, as I said in my clean-up posts, I am fully focused on making quality-only papercrafts, and want to re-make some of the old designs I really hated, but love the papercraft concept of, and this little cutie was very high on the list.

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 18 cm and has 4 pages to print (with 1 page being a double-sided print page for the backside colors of the hair).

A rather straightforward humanoid papercraft with simple 2D hair, 3D hands and then the optional 2D 2-sided wings and the fire in the back. I also added an optional 2D arm band for the green seraphim juice flowing through her, because you can make her as a cute mini Boa Hancock child without the band, wings and fire.

*For the wings I recommend gluing them on wire, so you can make them movable and glue them on the back. For the fire itself, you can either glue it on the hair in the back or also use some wire to make it look like it’s floating in the back. Or you can leave both options out, as you wish.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all of my papercrafts, you start from top and build to bottom.

Assemble the 2 ears separately and then start making the top of the hood head, attach the 2 ears on and make the whole hoodie to the edge of the neck.

Now since it has both a hood and head, I suggest you first attach the hood on the torso. Assemble the torso with the few first pieces around the shoulders, till you have the 2 holes for the arms. Build the 2 arms separately, and then glue them inside the holes. Build the rest of the torso and at the end attach the 2 legs on it.

Now you have an empty pajama, where you can press inside the pre-made head and glue it onto the pajama inner side of the hood, so it holds nicely. The hole of the hood is big enough to press the head inside and if you put enough glue on the flaps, it will hold its place inside.

At the end, you can glue on the 2-sided tail and scarf around her neck. For the tail I suggest to *pro tip: glue some wire inside it, so it holds its shape. Glue wire on one side of the tail and close it with the other side, so the wire is glued inside. With this, you can pose the tail and it won’t lose its shape.

For the torso itself *pro tip: always put some smaller pebbles inside the legs when you are closing it for weight. With these, the craft will stand nicely and won’t tilt over. And done.

Kuro (Girls Frontline) DarkNET papercraft commission

A new type of papercraft commission preview with this one, as you can see. This is a whole diorama of Kuro/MDR from the game Girls’ Frontline, in her DarkNET costume, with all of the backroom, couch, shelves and various misc around her!

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 23 cm and has 27 pages to print out.

It consists of a 3D model of Kuro, with removable and interchangeable arms with gloves and without them, and shoes. It also includes a separate simple 3D room that is best glued on cardboard, a 3D couch with 2 separate cussions, 2 pillows that fit directly bellow her legs and back, 4 panda plushies (1 of which fits directly bellow her arm and back), simple 2D magazines and cardboard boxes, a 3D shelf with 2D cleaning gloves, posters, and various add-ons for Kuro, such as her pins, bows, dress, her maid headband with ears, etc.

She has full textures bellow the dress as well, some sexy stockings and underwear, bare feet in stockings that have optional on/off shoes, 2 sets of arms (one with gloves, the other bare).

The sheer details of stuff alone took me ages to make, and the pose itself is quite complicated with very detailed hair drills/tails. The whole thing has 14 separate UV-maps with very detailed texturing. Probably the most detailed textures I have done so far, since it took me probably just 1 week to make the textures alone, not counting modeling, posting, unfolding or anything else. BUT, I am very happy with the outcome and have further sharpened my papercrafting skills for future projects to come (: That’s all that matters in the end, and that the commissioner is happy with the outcome and enjoys it as well!
