Bunny monitor sitter built papercraft

As you maybe remember, I have made a series of »monitor sitter« animal papercrafts that are basically papercrafts you can make to put on your flatscreens and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will.

They fit on any flatscreen on your PC screen, laptop, kindle, tablet, smartphone and even on vases, boxes or jars with slimmer rims, so you can decorate whatever you want with them. But basically, I made them to fit my laptop, so I could wedge them on my own PC :3

And since I have finally had the time to assemble them, here are the preview pictures on how they look like built and some tips for anybody wanting to make them for yourself.

********************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Whatever animal you assemble from this series, they are basically made the same way: built from top to bottom.

Build the ears first, then the head, attach the front paws, the body, the 3D tail, the back legs and only after you have all of the body parts, take the inner clamp side, pre-bend it, put glue on the leftover flaps of the body, and slide & glue the clamp part inside the body and close it up that way.

That’s how I made all of my crafts you see and this is probably the simplest way to get this done and assembled.

NOTE: The papercraft includes all 3 colors shown. You have the brown, the white and the black colors that you can choose or build all 3 of them.

Bunny monitor sitter papercraft

Decided to make a series of so-called “monitor-sitter” papercraft toys. What this means is that they are basically figures that you can wedge on your laptop or PC screen and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will.

Really simple yet effectively textured papercraft models of different animals, that are smaller in size and fit a slim PC screen. Alternatively, you can also put them on any book cover, on a glass, a box edge, on a pencil case, etc., to make your room a bit more cheerful and fun.

This one is a bunny design that comes in 3 different designs/colors: white, brown and black. The template is 12 cm small and has 1 page to print for each color (and all 3 colors are included in the premium template, of course). The design of the craft itself is pretty simple, since it’s so small, and you got the blank PDO included for the assembly, so no worries about that.

Halloween dead bunny built papercraft

I know Halloween is over, but I think this craft is really unique (and maybe it fits into the whole Easter theme a bit, since it’s a bunny… XD), so I had to make it for myself to hang on the wall XD

It’s my Halloween dead bunny or suicide bunny wall mount papercraft. The template itself is about 25 cm big, so it’s quite easy to assemble. There is the separate bunny papercraft, and the separate carrot papercraft. I made the bunny first, starting at the ears and slowly gluing all the parts together, bit by bit, part by part, so there isn’t much to talk about the assembly. Maybe only that the tail at the back can be a bit fiddly, since it has small pieces, so I suggest you build the tail separately from the body, and when you get to the legs, glue it on then. And at the end, close the whole body at the 2 legs with the soles in the end.

For the carrot, you make the carrot first and close it at the part where it touches the bunny. After I closed it, I cut out the 2D 2-sided greens and glue them on the end of the carrot (I actually made small incisions in the carrot end with a scalpel and glued the greens inside the carrot, so the edges are invisible and it looks neater).

The real gimmick of the papercraft is actually that the carrot can be removed! I really loved the trick, and I saw a few uses of magnets in papercrafts online, so I had to try it myself. So, for this, I used 2 small magnets and glued one on the inside of the bunny’s tummy (where the blood is) and the other one on the inside of the carrot, where it touches the body. And it works great, as you can see! Really love the trick, so I suggest to use this trick when you get the chance as well (small magnets are mostly cheap and can be found in any paper supply shop). It’s really an interactive thing, and you can decide to put the carrot on or off, however you feel like that day XD I’ll be sure to use this trick on some of my next papercrafts as well, it’s so much fun.

The papercraft is meant to be hanged on a wall, so I definitely suggest you do that. As you can see in the pictures, I made them on my table with the bunny laying down (black background) and hanged on the wall on a small pin at the back (white background).

The most important part (again):

No bunnies or other animals were harmed in the making of this papercraft!

It is meant as a funny Halloween prep and in no way does it represent any kind of glorification of violence towards any kind of animal or living being! I love bunnies very much, so hopefully no hard feelings for me doing this Halloween gimmick.

The template and more in-dept info about it and how to buy it (just write me a private note) as well as the price can be found here:

I hope you like it and happy crafting~

Halloween dead bunny papercraft

I recently made a fun papercraft commission for Halloween/Spooktober that I can re-sell as a Halloween special of a sort, so here we are XD

As you can see it’s a dead bunny or suicide bunny that was killed by a carrot. It’s kind of ironic and funny, I really didn’t want it to come off as a gory scary thing at all, since it’s not the intention of this design whatsoever, it’s really supposed to be a funny wall mount/decoration of a sort. Also, the idea came from the commissioner, which showed me a similar papercraft wall design that he wanted me to make in my own style, so the idea was copied from an existing design.

Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4] Bunny Emoji-68 (Bouncy) [V4]
The papercraft is unfolded to 25 cm and has 6 pages to print. As you can see it consists of a 3D bunny papercraft, that is quite simply designed and a separate 3D carrot with separate 2D greens of the carrot that you simply glue on the carrot (additionally to this you can glue both parts of the 8 different greens on a wire and then poke it in the carrot top to get simple straight greens that hold their shape like that).

The separate carrot is exactly designed to fit on the pierced bunny belly, so you just glue the finished carrot on him and it’s done. Also, the bunny, where is it pierced by the carrot, has a 2D 2-sided blood splatter, that you glue on the belly as you go assembling the bunny papercraft, so it has a nice 3D effect to it. And of course, since it is designed as a wall mount, the back side of the bunny, where it is greyer in color, is completely flat, so it can be attached or glued on the wall or any flat surface like that, nice and easy.

The most important part:

No bunnies or other animals were harmed in the making of this papercraft!

It is meant as a funny Halloween prep and in no way does it represent any kind of glorification of violence towards any kind of animal or living being. I love bunnies very much actually, so no hard feelings… hopefully ;)
