Parrot monitor sitter built papercraft

As you maybe remember, I have made a series of »monitor sitter« animal papercrafts that are basically papercrafts you can make to put on your flatscreens and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will:

They fit on any flatscreen on your PC screen, laptop, kindle, tablet, smartphone and even on vases, boxes or jars with slimmer rims, so you can decorate whatever you want with them. But basically, I made them to fit my laptop, so I could wedge them on my own PC :3

And since I have finally had the time to assemble them, here are the preview pictures on how they look like built and some tips for anybody wanting to make them for yourself.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Whatever animal you assemble from this series, they are basically made the same way: built from top to bottom.

Build the crest first (for the cockatiel version), build the beak separately, then the head, glue the pre-made beak inside the head, then the body, the 3D tail, and only after you have all of the body parts, take the inner clamp side, pre-bend it, put glue on the leftover flaps of the body, and slide & glue the clamp part inside the body and close it up that way. Lastly, you can glue on the 2D 2-sided wings and the 2D feet.

That’s how I made all of my crafts you see and this is probably the simplest way to get this done and assembled.

NOTE: The papercraft includes all 4 colors, the gray and light gray cockatiel and a green and blue budgie that you can choose or build all 4 of them.

*** This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDFs and blank, locked PDO file for assembly. – You can buy and download the template here:

Parrot monitor sitter papercraft

Decided to make a series of so-called “monitor-sitter” papercraft toys. What this means is that they are basically figures that you can wedge on your laptop or PC screen and have them there for decoration or moral support, if you will.

Really simple yet effectively textured papercraft models of different animals, that are smaller in size and fit a slim PC screen. Alternatively, you can also put them on any book cover, on a glass, a box edge, on a pencil case, etc., to make your room a bit more cheerful and fun.

This one is a parrot design that comes in 4 different designs/colors: cockatiel dark gray and light gray and budgie green and blue. The template is 10 cm small (8 cm for the budgie) and has 2 pages to print for each color (and all 4 colors are included in the premium template, of course). The design of the craft itself is pretty simple, since it’s so small, and you got the blank PDO included for the assembly, so no worries about that.

Along with these designs posted on here, I have also prepared an exclusive Patreon supporter monitor sitter, consisting of 3 different bunny designs, that can only be obtained by my premium subscribers. You can check out more here:

Valentine Lovebirds - FREE Valentine's day papercraft

Another Friday, another FREE papercraft for you to download. But that not all, since it just so happens to be Valentine's Day today as well, so of course I had to combine these 2 into something nice for all of you to have. And what can be better, sweeter, and lovier for this occasion, than 2 little adorable lovebirds you can make for yourself XD

Now there is a story behind this, as always.

These are not just any 2 lovebirds, no, no, no, no, no, NO, these are MY lovebirds. Well techically from my mom and dad, since they have them at home and I got another one in my apartment for myself XD, but whenever I get home I always cuddle these little idiots and I love them to bits ;)

They are called "Doki" (black lovebird) and "Koki" (yellow lovebird), and they are both male. And although they are both male, they love each onther as if there was no tomorrow, so I think it is the best symbolic papercraft I would have done for this day, saying that love comes in all shapes and sizes, so no matter if you love your partner, be it male or female, no matter if you love your parents, friends, kids, neighbors, objects, or in my case my little fuzzy, feathery idiots, love is there for everybody. So just love and be happy on this day :)

The papecraft is pretty easy to make, you have 2 separate 3D perches that you just glue together, a blue 3D stand (which you can make or not), and the 2 3D lovebirds, with simple 2D wings and feet (and the 2D sign and heart if you want to use those as well). The whole craft is about 25cm tall (including the stand). Just glue them together and you'll have your cute little parrots in no time.

And of course, for those who would like to make these 2 cuties (I mean come on, the yellow one has his own little goth girlfreind/boyfriend XD), you can make them for whatever you would like and name them however you like.

Download them here (along with all of my other FREE papercrafts):

I hope you enjoy the day, think or spend time with your own special loved ones, and happy crafting~
