Dracozolt (Pokemon Sword/ Sheild) papercraft

Hello everybody! Holidays are over so I hope you spent them well and are a bit more rested and jollier than normal :)

[F2U] Present Icon/Emote Merry christmas everybody
For the next papercraft post I decided to share another commission of the new Pokemon from Sword & Shield, so I present you the fossil Pokemon “Dracozolt”!

The commissioner had the whole vision in mind, so all I had to do was low-poly it, pose it and make the textures fit. The papercraft is 22 cm tall and has 11 pages to print. It is a bit more detailed, since I wanted the form to still be the original one and also make it possible to build it without problems. Think it succeeded quite good :)

You can also see the built papercraft made by the amazing commissioner, so here they are:

Thank you again for letting me share these and for sending the pictures as always :)

For anybody interested in these commissions, you can always write me a note about it and we’ll see what we can do. As said, I already have ALL the original Pokemon Sword/Shield Pokemon and Trainer models ripped and ready for any action. I will reply to anybody, so if you are curious about anything you would like to be made, be it Pokemon or anything else, I’ll be happy to assist here.

Enjoy and let’s get together for Silvester soon to come as well ;)

Bea (Pokemon Sword Gym Leader) built papercraft

Let's get this week started with a sweet little built papercraft of mine. Took a long time to make this, since I wanted her nice and cleanly made, and I am super happy with her. I present you the fighting-type gym leader of the new Pokemon Sword edition, Bea!!!! Let's get ready to rumbleee~~ XD

PokeBall
As always I started to make her hands since I hate making fingers the most :D So small little 3-tier fingers to glue together, as well as the 2-tier toes on her feet, so I did the whole hands and just the toes on her feet, so I has the most fiddly parts out of the way. Then I made her face, making sure to really like iron out the folds with the glossy thin paper I am always using, so there are no bumps on the surface when it's done. Thin paper is hard to build crafts with, since it will tear in an instant or be torn because of the strong glue I use, but anything else and the paper has those bumpy lines at the end, which I really hate, so a PRO TIP for all out masochists out there :D if you want your built to be nice and you love to torture yourself with the built of them to be really immaculate (as I do), then use thin paper and iron it out after every gluing of the flaps and you get a smooth surface like I do with all built papercrafts.

Continuing with my work I made, as already said, the face and built the ears and har parts around it, making sure the neck part was open, so I could help myself with the open part to glue everything nice and smooth on there. (PRO TIP? maybe) I do that every time, always have a hole somewhere left open so you can get your fingers in and smooth out the fold lines and glue it on neatly. After I had the whole head on, I made her neck part and left that for now. Because she has a collar on and she has 2 places where you can join her together because of the over standing parts on either her breast-part or her hips (as you can see in the picture), you can decide where to join her together at the end. I decided to join her at the breast-part, so I did the collar and the upper torso with the sleeves first, and then joined the torso with the already built head. After I had that I could then easily glue the arms on, since the open sleeves of her dress make it super easy to just attach that on, without you trying to be super precise and glue every single flap on there, just put the glue on the upper arm flaps and push that in the sleeve, where you find a comfortable height for it to stand (and making sure it is facing the right way), and let it dry :) and you have half the work done (probably 2/3).

Now since we have a double part, as we said I would join it at the breast-part of her torso, I could do the legs really simply by putting them together from bottom to top, making use of those already joined together toes and making it all the way up to her hips. There you have another double part, where you firstly join the last part of her trousers, and then glue on the inside her belly aka "muscle" XD part. And since I had both parts done, I glued them together at the middle, put on her 2D 2-sided ribbon at the end, and she was done :)

In hindsight I did make her legs a bit bigger than they are shown in the reference picture, just because I was so fascinated about her bare feet and her strength, so I wanted to emphasize that by making the bottom part of her bigger :D and she really looks tough and strong that way, so I think it does her justice in a way.

For those interested in how to get the template to build her yourself, here are the info’s:

Hope you like it, only 1 month and 2 days till the release day of the game people! We are almost there!

Happy crafting~

Cramorant (Pokemon Sword/Shield) built papercraft

Another one of my creations, built and ready to be shows to the world :) I present you my Cramorant, from the new Pokemon Sword & Shield game, coming out sooonnn~ :D

Pokeball (new)
I first did the head feather-piece, since it is fiddly to make, and I (BUILDING TIP? maybe) tend to make the hard parts first, so after that I can have more fun making them. Well that's my strategy at least, also because when I start I am more concentrated and rested than later in the built. Anyway, after that I decided to make the beak, since I wanted it to be nice and clean, since it is the center piece and from there made the whole head till his 2-sided feathers on his neck.

After I had that I decided to do the next fiddly pieces, which are the wings. Pretty tricky really, since they are super tight and in the folded flaps PDF you sometimes don't have all the finishing lines, coz Pepakura does that to near edges, so I had to cut them in the inner parts by feel (SUPER PRO TIP: if I had the uncolored PDF flap file that wouldn't be a problem, but then I don't tend to get the good results at the end, because colored flaps let you a 5mm fault safe, so you still have the vibrante colors of the papercraft - wihtout having to recolor them at the end -, even if you glue it together 5mm too far, so I suggest you always use the colored flap PDF's for really flawless results, such as this. Putting in more effort when building always makes the end result worth your time). So after I got those I was super happy, because those were the hardest parts of the fold and I did those really neatly :D so I was happy. After those I made the sepparate 2 feet, and then the tail. After I had those parts, I started to build it from tail, though the legs, and at the end attached the wings on the lower bodypart (wings after they are built attach really nice and easy, so no worries the won't hold or anything, they will with no reinforement needed). And as soon as I got the body, I attached it at the neck part with the head (since you can do easily, because of the 2-sided feathers on his neck, so you can finish the craft with open edges, nice and simple). And violla, it was finished :) Just the few finishing touches at the end, which I always do at the end, since those little cosmetic 2-sided things tend to fall off when you are building it, so I always glue them on at the end.

The papercraft also stands with no problems at all, since he has 2 nice big flappy feet, so you don't need to extra reinforce it or put weight in it. And he looks his clumsy, adorable body self as he is :)

Morpeko (Pokemon Sword/Shield) built papercraft

Another one of my built papercrafts I made myself, the Morpeko duo, full belly mode and hangry mode :D

Morpeko Emoticon
The template has both Pokemon, so you can do both of them and they are not hard to make at all. I made both in the same steps really. First I made the ears sepparately and then their hands. The hands have small little thumbs, so those are a bit fiddly, but else it's super easy to make. As soon as I had the ears I made the remaining head with the stripes till the belly, where I glued the pre-made hands on. And after that just glue all the striped till the feet. The feet are where I closed the model, so I made the feet (without gluing the soles, since that is what closes the model and you can't make adjustments like that), and closed the soles on the 1. one, and glued the 2. foot and closed the 2. one with the sole. And they were done.

The papercrafts are 20 cm tall, which is a comfortable height to make it nice and simple, since most of the pieces to glue are big enough to handle without a lot of concentration. And they both stand without reinforcments or filling their feet, since the soles are big enough to support their paper weight :) so no extra work needed.

For those who are interested in the template, you can find it here:

Hope you like it, just 1 and a half month to the release date of the game!!!!! so soon XDDD

Happy crafting everybody~

Sirfetch'd (Pokemon Sword) papercraft

Wanted to release the first new evolution of Farfetch'd SPOILER and here is Sirfetch'd XD less than 2 months to go and the Pokemon desings are nearing their end soon :D just a bit more waiting people!

The papercraft is 300 cm tall from feet till his lance end and has 8 pages to print. He consist of a 3D attached body and a sepparate lance and sheild. Wanted to make the shield the same as in the trailer, since it has such a nice design and inner parts, so it consist of 4 parts, which you glue one into another and tadaaa you get the original shield from the game :) and it looks super fresh XD

Bea (Pokemon Sword Gym Leader) papercraft

I am back, and I am ready... Ready to show you this amazing beauty from the new Pokemon Game Sword & Shield, actually from Sword only, since she is the fighting-type gym leader, which is only present in the Sword edition game. :D I saw her in the trailer a while back and I was super amazed by her and loved her so much I had to make some time making her. Power-girls rule the world! Love strong female characters, though they could make her a bit different clothes, but oh well, that's Japan for you, still 100 years away from emancipation... Still, I love her design and her focused look before the fight, like "Bring it on bitch, I will destroy you with my mighty thighs and stomp on you with my feet!" :D Loved her, what can I say.

PokeBall

The papercraft itself is 35 cm tall, since I wanted to make her bigger than I normally do. She has a attached 3D body, with attached hair and everything, the only 2D details are her bow, her sweatband and some minor details, so it's a whole in one so to say. She has all the original advertising on her dress, really wanted to make it accurate, and some of those logos were hard to make, let me say, but I really wanted it to be as accurate as possible and I think it looks pretty good :)

Hope you like her as much as I do, she is my fav char of all the trailers for now, and happy crafting~
