Salad Miku (Simple Ver.) chibi built FREE papercraft

As you maybe already saw, I have released the template of my chibi Salad Miku that you can view here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Salad-Miku-Simple-Ver-chibi-papercraft-1081087556

And now come some assembly tips to make her yourself as well.

*********************************************************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all of my papercrafts, start at the top, end at the bottom.

You can assemble the 2 salad-tails separately and then you can make the boxish head next. The head is best made by starting with the front face part, then you glue on the front hair bangs, and only after that, build the remaining head and close it with the top part that has no flaps.

Next, make the 2 hands and the 2 arms all separate. Set those aside and build the first torso part. Once you have that, you can glue inside the head you made and the 2 arms. Then you can glue on the remaining torso part, the overlaying part of the blouse and once those are all set in place, glue on the 2 hands inside at the right angle and that’s done.

Now this is done, you can glue on the 2 salad-tails on the right part of the head and glue on the 2d add-ons, such as the carrot pins and the necktie.

Next you make the dress part and then the legs separately. Once done, glue on the dress with the flaps on it on the torso you have already made at the right angle, and after that the legs.

All that is left to do is to cut out the 2D add-ons you want to use and put them inside her hands. The items can just be put inside her hands, since they stay in place if you fold the hands a bit, but you can also glue them on, if you like.

Also, you can put some weights inside the legs before you glue them on the body to make the crafts stand firmly, but she does stand on her own even without those.

**********************

And that’s about it. It’s a really simple craft that should take only a few hours to make, and the pieces are simple and more flat and boxy than anything. I am sure that anybody can do these, as long as they put their mind to it and really want it (it is one of my “super simple papercraft versions” after all. I mean, who doesn’t want to build it, just look at this adorable cutie you can make by yourself.

So, what is this all about? As the name “Super simple papercrafts” suggests, it is a project of really simple papercrafts I make. Since I saw that many people are somewhat intimidated by my intricate designs and overall papercraft really, I wanted to show that it’s not the case and that I wanted to make an effort to make papercrafts available really for any kind of papercrafter, be it beginner, advanced or pro. I decided to address the issue and show that anybody can make papercrafts and therefore designed some fun crafts that REALLY ANYBODY CAN MAKE, super simple and really fast. But most of all, fun!

These papercrafts are simple in design regarding how many pieces there are, they are unfolded a bit bigger to make it simpler to assemble them, they have more detached pieces that you just make and glue on, and still look super sweet and adorable so anybody will want to make them.

You can find all of the “Simple Papercrafts” I designed in my folder:

I hope you enjoy this cutie and you start the beginning of this summer in a fun way.

Salad Miku (Simple Ver.) chibi FREE papercraft

It's always so much fun to make Vocaloid papercrafts, since Miku herself is the ultimate cuteness. And when I saw a vegetable version of her, I thought damn, that is super cute, I need to make this into a 3D model!!! So, out came this OC Salad Hatsune Miku papercraft, that I wanted to make as a really simple version of a papercraft. A cute yet simple template.

*********************************************************

*******************************

The papercraft is unfolded to 14 cm and has 3 pages to print out. It consists of a 3D model of Miku herself, with her simple 3-sided 3D salad tails and various optional 2D add-ons such as the shovel, the carrots and the 2 leeks.

You can choose whichever parts you want to put in her hand and don’t need to glue them on as well, since the simple hands make it possible for the items to be slid inside and hold their pose like that.

Really easy and a bit more box-ish to make and it should be able to stand on the feet as well, since it’s a quite easy pose to balance. But you can always put in some weight inside the legs when you glue them on, so you can be 100% sure it won’t tip over even if you accidentally bump into it.

Chibi Sakura Miku built papercraft

I already posted the template preview of this cutie and you can view it here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Chibi-Sakura-Miku-papercraft-951812150

And now you also have the assembly preview and some tips along the way.

*As with any of my papercraft templates, the blank PDO is always included in these files, so you help yourself with the 3D preview in Pepakura to assemble it, but I like to post a bit of experience I have with building papercrafts to maybe make things easier for less experienced papercrafters and share ideas on how to make it simpler.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Best to start it, as with any of my crafts, is at the top and make your way down to the bottom. So, you can divide the assembly into many smaller parts that can be made separate from each other. You got: the 2 braids, the head, both arms, both hands, the legs, the 2D add-ons and then you glue all together to the torso.

So, start by making both braids, starting from bottom to top. When you have those, set side and glue together the face and the front bangs. Then, glue on the braids on the front bang flaps and make sure to additionally glue it on with a strong tape, since it will fall off coz it’s only attached with 2 flaps for now. Glue on the remaining parts of the head/hair on, making sure to neatly glue on the braids and close with the neck.

Next, you can make the simple 2D hands and then the arms. Glue on the hands on the arms, and then make the first part of the top torso part. There, you need to glue on the 2 arms you already made. Glue on the remaining 2 parts of the torso and once you have the whole torso, glue on the neck with the head on there.

Then comes the dress and legs part, which are both done separately and then glued together at the hips part of the craft and you simply join them together at the right angle. Since the craft stands on both legs and has both braids very long, dragging on the floor, the Chibi Miku will be able to stand without any additional help or weights.

All that needs to be done now is to add the various sakura flowers, the simple 3D flower in her hand, the tie and the belt and you are done.

Hope you like how it looks at the end and that you’ll try to make a craft or 2 of your own. It’s a super fun hobby you won’t be able to quit once you start, believe me :D

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Chibi Sakura Miku papercraft

It's always so much fun to make Vocaloid papercrafts, since Miku herself is the ultimate cuteness. And when I saw this Spring Hatsune Miku figure version of her online and since spring and the Hanami-season is coming soon, I wanted to make a Sakura version of Miku. It is somewhat referenced of the figure, but I also chose to make some own adjustments to the craft, to make it my own.

:bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink:

The papercraft is unfolded to 16 cm and has 6 pages to print out. It consists of a 3D model of Miku herself, with her 3D braids and various optional add-ons such as the Sakura petals, the belt, her simple Sakura flower in her hand etc.

Basically, she is made with very long 3D braids on both sides, that both touch the ground, like her feet. That way, the neck won’t snap because of the proportionally-bigger chibi head and it stands on 4 surfaces that make her stand 100% without help or reinforcement.

The hands are very simple, 2D versions, that are made the same way I did my “Chibi humanoid Eevee” papercrafts and the hardest part would be the braids, because I wanted them to look like actual braids and with a lot of details and parts.

I hope you enjoy the flower-viewing-season and enjoy the beginning of spring and sunny weather and make some picnics in nature as well. Enjoy and
happy crafting~
