Fearesa (Pokemon/Fakemon) built papercraft

I already posted the template preview of this Fakemon called Fearesa, and you can view it here:

And now you also have the assembly preview and some tips along the way.

*As with any of my papercraft templates, the blank PDO is always included in these files, so you help yourself with the 3D preview in Pepakura to assemble it, but I like to post a bit of experience I have with building papercrafts to maybe make things easier for less experienced papercrafters and share ideas on how to make it simpler.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Best to start it, as with any of my crafts, is at the top and make your way down to the bottom. So, you can divide the assembly into many smaller parts that can be made separate from each other. You got: the head, the scarf, both wings/arms and the legs, and then you make the torso with all of the already added parts at the end.

Start with the top hoodie part and make the flowy top part and the crooked hoodie point. Set that aside, and make the black face and then make the hoodie around the face, making your way back to the head and close it with the neck.

Then, make both wings/arms separately. These are really simple, since you just basically glue on the edge and then close it with the other side of the wing and it’s done. When you have the wings, glue them on the first 3 parts of the torso and then glue in the head with the neck. Make the rest of the torso/dress and that’s done.

Next, you can make the legs parts and start those from bottom to top, since it’s easiest. And when you have the legs, put on some weights inside to make the craft stand better. *Pro-tip: I always use small pebbles, since they are small yet heavy enough to make anything stand and fit into every nook and cranny. And when you got that, simply glue the leg part with the remaining flaps on the inside of the torso and make sure to align the angle of it so it can stand without any help.

All that is left to do is to add the 2D, 2-sided halo and the scarf. For the scarf, make it so you glue all 3 parts of the scarf together but DON’T CLOSE IT YET. At the back of both parts where you need to glue it together, glue on the scarf end on there and use a bit of strong tape, if you have to, to make it stick the way it should. *Pro tip: You can also use some wire you glue on the inside of both scarf ends to make it more wavy and sturdy as well and glue the end side on the scarf.

And there you go, a spooky yet cool-looking Fakemon papercraft done that you can display anywhere in your home :)

Fearesa (Pokemon/Fakemon) papercraft

Found a cute non-existent Pokemon / Fakemon concept online somebody did, so I decided to make a simple but cute papercraft out if. The Fakemon is called Fearesa (at least that’s what I call my version, since the original one didn’t have a name) and is, as the pictures shows, it’s a ghost/psychic type Pokemon that looks scary yet super cute at the same time. I am a sucker for wings all day long, so I had to make my own version, even though it probably looks more like a Digimon than anything XD Still a cool idea.

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 20 cm and has 5 pages to print out. Really simple to make, with 2D, 2-sided wings that are joined together with a part on the upper side, so they are joined together, yet are loose at the end and there is a hole in the bottom, because 1. it’s easier to assemble and 2. the wings are more dynamic and can be bent forwards and backwards that way.

*The preview picture (as most of them) as well as the Fakemon concept itself is not mine, the 3D model of the papercraft and the papercraft unfold itself, however, is 100% mine.
