Seasonal Rowlet (Pokemon) redesign built papercraft

Already released the template preview that you can find here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Seasonal-Rowlet-Pokemon-redesign-papercrafts-942014185

And since I assembled them myself, I can now also share some building tips for those wanting to buy and make it yourself. So here goes.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

No matter what seasonal Rowlet you are making, all are made the same way, except the ornamental bows at the front. So each Rowlet can be divided into 3 steps of assembly: The upper body, the lower body and the bow.

Start by making either the top or bottom part. With the top part, you can assemble all the beak parts first and leave it aside. Next make your way to the top head and start gluing from there and when you have the last, longest strip where you close in the beak, glue in the beak at the right position, to make it simpler. Then all you do is glue on the remaining long strip, so the beak is now closed in the body and the hanging feathers, and done.

The bottom part you start by making the bottom first. Glue the stripe on the circular part and make your way upward till you have all pieced glued together.

Now, when you have both halves, put glue on the flaps of the bottom part and gently push it inside the top part at the right angle and position and shove it a bit inside, if necessairy, to make sure all flaps are hidden inside and glued on properly. And it’s finished.

What remains is to glue on the bows, 2 of the 4 are simple 2D parts you glue on any position or way you want, and the other 2 have 3 separate 3D berries to make, which you glue together and then glue with the flat backside on there in a position to make it look nice. Done and done.

All 4 of them stand nicely, since they have a flat, wide bottom, so no need for any extra weights or anything. It’s also an ideal flat surface to glue on a magnet, if you want to pin it to any metal surface or fridge as well. So, just have fun with it any try it out in any case.

**As with any of my papercraft, the blank, locked PDO file is always in the files, along with all the PDF versions, and you can help yourself with that 3D preview. But since some parts can be made in a simpler way, I like to post my assembly experience and give some extra tips on how to make it with lesser effort. That’s why I make these tips really :)

Hope you like the little pudgy borbs in any case (the seasonal Rowlets are made up and are not from any game btw., since they are based off of fan-made illustrations) and happy crafting~

Seasonal Rowlet (Pokemon) redesign papercrafts

Another different Pokemon papercraft inspiration I got. This time I made 4 different redesigns of Rowlet and drew inspiration from various illustrations of Pokemon I saw online. - Just trying to make something new and fun of Pokemon papercrafts that I think is cute :) and to maybe spark a fun new idea on how to make Pokemon papercrafts in the future. Not everything needs to be 100% the accurate and from the games; art is supposed to be imaginative and full of new ideas, so why not make something like this?

:bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink:

The papercraft template consists of 4 different seasonal Rowlet takes that I made. Since the base real Pokemon Rowlet design could be mostly interpreted as a spring version (because of his green leaf bow and light brown color), I decided to focus on the other 3 seasons, with 2 winter redesigns, since I couldn’t decide which one I liked best. I also made it in its iconic sleep-pudding-mode pose XD since it was always so adorable in the anime when it slept like that and I just loved it. So he looks like a droopy, sleepy mochi without feet, since he is puffed-up and chillin'.

:bulletorange: :bulletorange: :bulletorange: :bulletorange:

From left to right we have: Sakura Rowlet (pink with flower bow), Autumn Rowlet (brown with leaf bow), Icey Rowlet (light blue with mistletoe bow) and Snow owl Rowlet (white with mistletoe bow).

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

All 4 Rowlet are unfolded together in a group at about 10 cm height and are really simple to make: low-poly and with separate parts to glue on there as such. The template is unfolded at 10 cm height and consists of 12 pages to print, 4 pages for each look, so you can print all of them, or just pick the ones you like best.

Hope you like the cuties and share around the idea of some new takes and reinventions on papercraft designs as well. And I definitely need to make these cuties and assemble them when I have time as well. Enjoy and happy crafting~
