Shiba Inu diorama built papercraft

Already showed you my template of Pochi (:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Shiba-Inu-diorama-papercraft-1150294831

And now comes the assembly and tips for the built, so you can make one yourself.

*********************

The papercraft has many different optional parts, so you make the diorama, the dog house, the bowl, the dog itself and the 2D bones all separately.

For the stand itself, you build it top to bottom, like you would make a 3D box and you close it with the bottom part. Then you take the 4 parts for the fence and *pro-tip: glue them on each other (before cutting them out) by overlapping the parts (you can do this best if you turn them to a light source or place it near a window, so you can partially see-though the paper and know where to glue to together) and only when they are glued together, cut them out. I do this with all of my 2D 2-sided parts I make, since it’s the easiest and most precise way to do this. It’s really easy, so try it out. When you have the fence, knick and fold the bottom part of the fence a bit, so you can glue it on the flat surface of the stand and there you go.

For the bowl, it’s easiest by gluing the 2 sides of the bow together first, and BEFORE you close the bottom, you slide the water part inside the bowl, put glue on the flaps of the water part, and jam it upwards right to the point where the water stands and let dry. Only then, close the bowl and it’s done.

The dog house is also simple to make, a box-pattern craft you do and at the end close with the bottom part. And when the base house is done, glue on the flat root on it.

For the dog itself, best making it top to bottom, since I always pose the flaps that way with my papercrafts.

Start by making the 2 ears and glue together the whole head. Then start making the 4 paws separately, glue on the first few breast parts of the dog on the head, glue the front paws inside and make your way back to the back paws and glue those in. Now, make the 3D tail separately, and in the end, close the butt at the back and just slide the tail inside.

All you got to do is to cut out the 2D bell + collar to glue in around its neck and cut out the 2D bones, and the shiba inu diorama is done.

Shiba Inu diorama papercraft

A little silly diorama I wanted to make, seeing some very cute Shiba Inu dogs online.

At first, I only wanted to make the Shiba, but it kind of evolved into a diorama with all of the stuff around it and this is what came out. Sometimes art evolves itself through my hands, what can I say. And what we have is a typical anime Shiba Inu with a cute, round body, and I gave it a typical Japanese dog name “Pochi”, as you can see on the houses name tag :)

*********************

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 10 cm and has 7 pages to print out with all of the items around. It consists of a simple, chibi 3D Shiba Inu dog with a 2D collar and a 3D bell, a simple 3D dog house, a 3D water bowl, 4 2D bones you can cut out, a 2D 2-sided fence and a 3D round stand with a grass pattern on it.

All in all, it’s a very simple craft to make, since I wanted to make a round and cute pudgy little pupper as a papercraft. The only smaller, fiddlier parts are the dog parts.

Shiba Inu (Simple Version) built papercraft

As promised, I present you my built papercrafts of the “Super simple papercrafts” series, the cute and adorable Shiba Inu toy papercrafts.

The template can be found here:

Dog Standing Dog Standing Dog Standing
Moving on to the built itself, the Shiba Inus, because they are a part of the Simple Version builts, are super easy to make. The group consists of 2 different types of Shiba Inu dogs, a white and a brown colored dog, as well as in the standing or sitting pose, whatever you prefer. Each of them have a different collar/scarf so you can choose what type to use on what doggo, since they are universal for all of them. As said in the template the standing dogs are about 20 cm tall and the sitting about 17 cm tall, since I wanted them to be a comfortable height to make super fast and easy.

All of the dogs have a similar way to assemble. Each of them has sepparate boxy pieces (ears, snout, hands, feet, head, body and a 2D tail and collar) that have to be glued together sepparately and in the end you just glue the boxy pieces together to get a full doggo XD So I did them all the same, started with the ears, snout and head to make the whole head. Then I moved on to make the 2 hands and 2 feet and made the body and glued those parts together to get the lower body. After that you just glue the head on the body, making sure to put the collar in between when gluing (or you can make them without the collars), and at the end glue the tail at the back body just like that and you have your own Shiba Inu doggy.

I did look at the time when I made all of them, so to make 1 you need about 2 hours max to make them (always depnding on how fast you are yourself and how experienced), including the time to cut all the pieces out, fold and glue them together. So, fast and easy to make as said that it will be, because the focus on these “Super simple papercrafts”, as said already, is that they can be made by anybody, no matter what experience you have with papercrafts, fast and easy but cute and adorable as well.

I hope you like the built doggies and that they inspire you to make your own. Happy crafting~

Shiba Inu (Simple Version) papercraft

Next in line for the “Super simple papercrafts” project are these little cuties :) Figured that I did make quite a few cat-based papercrafts, so why not make a dog-based papercraft next? And one that everybody can make since they are really easy and fast made.

The papercraft itself has 2 different Shiba Inu dog types, one all white and one with collored brown fur, each having a different collar-color/type so you can choose what one to give them, since they are all universally big. They are unfolded to 20 cm so you can comfortably put them together at this height, so the ones that stand are 20 cm tall and the ones sitting are about 17cm tall. Got the idea from a forum I saw online, and I really loved the cute design, so I wanted to make these since I love adorable things.

Each of them is assembled the same way. You have a sepparate boxy 3D head, 2 boxy ears, a boxy 3D snout, 2 boxy hands, 2 boxy feet and a 2D 2-sided tail. You build the super simple boxy parts appart from each other and at the end just assemble and glue the parts to get a simple yet super adorable dog for yourself to play with :) They all stand on their feet, even without weights inside, no matter if you make the standing or sitting one. One of them should take maximum 2 hours to make (including cutting out pieces, folding, gluing and everything), so it's a fun way to get into papercrafts or just wanting to make yourself a doggo if you love dogs :)

Of course, I also built these cuties myself, so you will be able to see how they look like assembled by me tomorrow as well ;)

Hope you like them and happy crafting~
