Mob (Mob Psycho 100) built papercraft

Finally had time to assemble this cutie for a preview of the template :) And here you go, take a look at Shigeyo Kageyama aka “Mob” from the anime “Mob Psycho”!

Mob Blushing Icon

The papercraft is made up of the main 3D model of Mob, and a separate 3D stand. These can be then further divided into 2 separate parts you can assemble, and simply glue on.

Starting with the Mob papercraft, make the face and neck part first. The glue together the black hair separately, and glue on the head at the right angle. Super easy to make. Then build the hands separately and lay them aside to assemble the torso part separately. Make sure to be extra careful at the neck part, because 3 different layers are joined together (2 collars and the neck), so that is the only critical part here. Else, glue together the torso with the sleeves, glue in the black sleeves and put it together to the end of the jacket. Once you got these parts, simply glue in the remaining hands, and then the neck and half of Mob is finished. – Yon can additionally enhance the neck part from the inside by curling-up paper in there so it will hold extra nicely.

Next, make the shoes separately and then the whole leg part. Once those are made (by simply following the PDO file that you get with all the other template files when you message me that you want to buy it), glue the shoes inside at the right angle. You can also put in some weights now at this moment, if you want to extra reinforce it to stand better.

And once you have the torso and the leg parts all glued together, simply glue those on as well, adjust the angle, let the glue set, and Mob is done.

For the Stand, you can also make it in 2 separate steps. One is to make the 3D cylindrical stand as instructed in the PDO file, and then the cool-looking smashed boulders and concrete around him. A really nice effect with this papercraft, I really suggest you make the smashed bits around as well, because the stand is so cool and versatile that it can easily be used for other papercrafts as well. Anyway, the smashed boulders are simple enough to make, since the bottom part are empty holes with flaps only and you can build them in 4-5 different chucks that you can glue together in a ring-shape at the end. Once you got those, glue the bottom flaps at the empty holes on the cylindrical stand and you got yourself a finished papercraft :)

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

The template itself can be found here (and you can buy it by sending me a private message on DA or my FB page):

The only fiddly part is the collar-part, since you need to jam those 3 flap pieces together, and the separate fingers, if you aren’t used to make humanoid papercrafts. Else, it should be straightforward to assemble and those boulders are super fun to make and play with in your display :)

Hope you like it, especially that dynamic smashed concrete stand that I really think it’s cool, and that we get that new season of Mob I am waiting for patiently :)

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Riko (Made in Abyss) papercraft

So, July 2022 is the release date for the new season of the fantastic anime “Made in Abyss” that makes me cry so much, yet at the same time is so awesome to watch, I love how different and refreshing this anime is, packed from feelings, to action-packed scenes, and a background story I need to know more of! And those of you watching the anime (or those that still will) know, that the main protagonist is the 12-year-old Riko, a fearless explorer ready to face all the horrors in the Abyss descend she is doing, along with other friends. And what better way to celebrate the beginning of the anime and to honour this fearless lead female protagonist than to make her into my owl version of a papercraft XD Here she is!

:bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen:

The premium papercraft template is unfolded to 23 cm and has 6 pages to print. It consists of a 3D model of Riko, with an attached explorer hat, and a lot of her ad-on, such as her iconic glasses, her gear and belt etc.

Since she has that explorer jacket on her, it’s easy to make the papercraft in at least 3 separate parts and then adding her together, which makes the assembly really easy to do. The arms can also be easily glued on by sliding them pre-made into the sleeves, same can be done with the legs. So apart from the 5 fingers that need to be glued together, and maybe the smaller rubber bands of her pigtails, it’s a simple enough assembly to do. I would say a 6/10.

Definitely planning on assembling her myself, since I want this figure in my display case, however time allows me, so you’ll also be able to see the built figure in all her glory :)

Btw. did I also mention that the game “Made in Abyss” is coming out this year as well? It looks so cool!!! The screenshots and previews made it possible to make a really accurate papercraft of here, and I am so excited to play it when it comes out. Take a look for yourself. I bet you’ll love the anime and game as much as me ;)

Hope you enjoy the papercraft in the meantime, look forward to the assembly, and happy crafting
