Arthur chibi (Fire Force) built papercraft

My next “Eneno no Shouboutai” papercraft! It's the lovably clumsy and sometimes reality-remote chibi Arthur, the so-called “knight” and “hero”, as he proclaimed to be of himself:D

As with all my crafts, I always start at the head. Built the face first (with the neck) and then make your way to the back of the head with the hair and 2D 2-sided hair, gluing it where it is shown in the PDO templates. And once you get to the top part with the hole, just close it with the pre-build separate ponytail you just glue inside the hole, helping yourself with the hole in the neck part, if necessary, and the head is done. All there is left are the 2 2D 2-sided ears you glue on the right sports and the head is done.

Moving on, I made the 2 arms separately first. After you have only the arms done, glue the “stumps” inside the arms at the right angle. And after those are glued, you can glue on the simple 2D 2-sided hands on and bent/curl both thumbs and index fingers to the right pose to hold his Excalibur sword (see my reference picture above so you know what I mean), and those are done.

When the arms are done, built the first half of the jacket with the collar. When you got that, glue the arms on the jacket and then slide the neck part (of the built head) inside the hole and glue it up from the inside. Let that part dry good, and when it does, use curled-up waste paper to bulk up that tiny neck of his to prevent it from snapping (it’s a chibi papercraft, so the necks are always the most difficult part, since they are so small and the head disproportionately big).

After that built the remaining jacket part and then move on to the legs. The legs can be assembled separately from the main body, since they fit inside the jacket and it’s easier that way, so do just that. Built the feet from the bottom upwards, first making the boots and make your way up till you reach the last part. In this phase you can fill out or add weights into the feet (if you want to be 100% sure it stands), but he stands pretty good without any help as well. And after you are happy with the feet, simply paste glue on the flaps and glue them on the body at the waste part, adjusting the right angle so he can stand, and there you go.

All that is left is to make the last parts, the separate 3D Excalibur sword, that you glue in his right hand. Really simple boxy design, so just build that with the help of the PDO and then glue it in the pose and angle you think looks best. And we are done.

He is pretty sturdy for a chibi papercraft, if you assemble him right. The neck is “hidden” inside the collar, making the most vulnerable part (the neck) pretty stiff even without extra reinforcing it.

***WARNING! To be fair, I did glue the head on wrong, meaning that the head should be tilted more to the right side and not looking straight as he is in the preview. Shows that everybody is human, and I do make mistakes, what can you do. I didn’t even notice it once I was done and looking at the PDO where the head is shown to be tilted to the right XD Yes, I make mistakes, I own up to it. Still looks adorable even with the straight head non-the-less.

I hope you still like him with the slight mistake I made and you’ll get some ideas to assemble a papercraft or two on your own. The template and info about the purchase can be found here:

As always, just sent a private note and let me know if you would like to buy it. In any case, happy crafting~ and "Latom!"
