Today, I want to share with you the last papercraft of 2019, since I won’t be posting this year anymore! So it has to be a really special one, right? And what can be more special and awesome to end this year then to make a papercraft out of the most popular anime of all times, in relativity to time and sales even bigger than Naruto or Bleach in his time, yes, the one and only “Kimetu no Yaiba” anime series! And the most popular character of mine of the whole series, at least the cutest out of them all :) “Nezuko”!

    

She is definitely the one out of the whole bunch that sparks the most empathy and at the same time exerts really strong will, love and physical strength. Most people probably like her because she is cute and sexy, but don’t be fooled by those superficial idiots, she is much, much more! Definitely worth the watch, especially now that you know it is the most popular anime of all time regarding sales and everything :) so you got a New Year resolution for 2020 if you don’t have one already :D

The papercraft itself is 25 cm tall and has 12 pages to print. Definitely easy to make, since she has easy 2D hair attached on her head, which again has a hole at the bottom, so it’s super simple to make the hair and the head. She has 5 fingers, as all of my papercrafts do, so that’s a fiddly thing, else it’s simple in terms of a human papercraft to make. She also has a separate 2-sided coat, so you can make her with or without it, as you wish.

She has some 2D and 3D mics to go along, such as her bamboo in her mouth so she can’t bite anybody ;), the bows on her feet, the kimono stripe, her cute small ribbon in the hair, etc., so they all bring out the true character of her.

I also chose a simple basic pose for her, such as in the reference picture as you can see, since I wanted to showcase her innocence and human soul that she still possesses and that is brought out with that cute tilted-head-look, as I think.

I have spent a lot of time on that kimono pattern, that almost brought me to tears a few times while trying to map it XD but I grew on the challenge, and I think it looks super original and awesome now! So definite a worthy final papercraft for 2019 in sense of accomplishment.

Hello everybody! Holidays are over so I hope you spent them well and are a bit more rested and jollier than normal :)

   

For the next papercraft post I decided to share another commission of the new Pokemon from Sword & Shield, so I present you the fossil Pokemon “Dracozolt”!

The commissioner had the whole vision in mind, so all I had to do was low-poly it, pose it and make the textures fit. The papercraft is 22 cm tall and has 11 pages to print. It is a bit more detailed, since I wanted the form to still be the original one and also make it possible to build it without problems. Think it succeeded quite good :)

Happy holidays!

Since it will be my last post before Christmas and the holidays, I thought I would surprise all of my watchers with a special Christmas present for all of you, so here you go!

I wanted to share with you my design called »Scarlet Foxgirl« that I designed myself and is my original papercraft character, but I wanted it to reach 300 views before I would release it to see if people are even interested in it… So it has been almost 4 months from that and we still didn't get all the views, BUT since it is Christmas and I am personally leaving behind a very tough year 2019 with a lot of personal and work-related failures, as well as sadness, I wanted to share with you some of the positivity and happy feelings that papercrafts always give me, so I will be FINALLY releasing her as a special and FREE »Christmas present papercraft« for all of my watchers!

The papercraft is 40 cm tall and has 19 pages to print. It is an original design I made myself, with a base model of the foxgirl based off a the Blade and Soul game. She has a beautiful red dress, a cute fluffy tail and fluffy ears as well, so she is a perfect Christmas release as is :) And since it is Christmas and she is a bit more detailed to make, you get the PDF files as well as the PDO file to help everybody build her. Charlotte Magne - Charlie (Hazbin Hotel) papercraft

Now, normally I post my papercrafts now according to schedule, either Monday, Wednesday or Friday, but since I am away from tomorrow onward + the whole weekend, I decided to post this one a bit early, just to be sure XD So as you can see from the post, I have made the main character from the new adult cartoon “Hazbin Hotel”, the innkeeper “Charlie”, since she was my favorite out of the bunch of them.

 

Now I know what you are thinking, “adult cartoon”, yeah right, but it’s actually true. No child should watch this cartoon or hear the language or the content of this at all XD it’s just too fucked-up seriously. But that is exactly why I loved it to much! It’s really original and although there is no official news on whether we are getting a real season of this amazing work or not, I do wish to show my support for it and hopefully we get it soon! Because it’s awesome. For those interested, there is only a pilot of about 30min of how the whole thing starts, so you can watch it and make up your mind for yourself :)

Moving on to the actual character, as said Charlie is the Hell-born princess of Hell the founder of the Hotel and the main protagonist of Hazbin Hotel.  She is quite slender and feminine, and it is hard to actually pinpoint how she would look like or how even her basic face looks like, because of the dynamic animation and the 2D feel of the cartoon. But I did give it my best shot and made her the way I think she looks like, nice and pretty cute XD

The papercraft is 25 cm tall and has 5 pages to print. Since she is so slender in body-shape she has smaller pieces to make, but they are designed to be as simple as possible, so it should not be a problem to make her. For those wanting to make her, you can always request to change the size of the unfold, so nothing to worry about ;) She has a basic 3D body, hair is also 3D and attached to the body, with an open hole in the hair tail at the end for simple and easy execution, which you can also close at the end. Based on the simple pose, she should also have no problems standing, but if you want to be sure, you can always fill up the legs just in case.

Ishigami Senku (Dr. Stone) papercraft

After the season finale previous week, I had to post this cutie, which I really liked to watch this year. It's »Ishigami Senku«, the main character from the anime »Dr. Stone«. I mean what other anime tricked you into learning science along the way, while watching the struggle to survive and push mankind into the age of science once more! I can only think of this one :)

 

The papercraft itself is about 33 cm tall and has 15 printable pages. It consists of a 3D model of Senku, with a 3D flask in his hand, some of his 3D, but simple designed, bags and whatnot around his hips, as well as a 3D stand for him (with the attached nametag for the anime), and some 2D 2-sided parts to make it look nicer, such as the belt etc.

His hair is also 3D, since I wanted him to look really 100% himself from the anime, so that part would be the fiddliest to make. But it’s a relatively big height for my papercraft designs, so the parts aren’t too small so it is totally manageable :D

It was really fun making him and I hope I get some time to make him myself to show all of you, since he will also be present next year for the 2. Season of “Dr. Stone – Stone wars”, for those who don’t know yet :)

Myne (Ascendance of a Bookworm) papercraft

Myne (Ascendance of a Bookworm) papercraft

Today, I want you to get to know one of my animes I am watching this season and I really like, it's called "Ascendance of a Bookworm" in translation, or "Honzuki no Gekokujou" and has a little girl as a main character called "Myne". And since she is so cute and amazing and awesome, I wanted to make her into a papercraft :) The anime is really something else, more like a tail of passion and the will to live, and I really like the slow pace for a change. All the characters are lovable, but she is the best really so I do hope, if you don't already know it, do give it a chance and watch a few episodes, you'll like it! 

 

As for the papercraft, I really wanted to represent her character and her love of books. So I made her from a 3D modeled body, with hair attached directly on her head, the papercraft being 25 cm tall and with 9 pages to print for the template. The hair however has a hole in the middle of the backside, so you can really make it nice and simple, because I do want everybody to make the craft as easy as it can be. So the head with the hair is no problem to make at all. And no worries, the hole can't be seen from any angle except if you look directly from bellow really, so it makes no difference from the general outlook of the papercraft.

Since she has such a love for books and knowledge, I had to make her with a book in her hands in any case XD The book is a simple rectangle, with simple 2D covers, so you can just glue on the spine of the book, so you can open the covers, since a small, cute surprise illustration awaits you as the inner part of the book ;) what it is, I can't really show in the picture, since the book is closed. So you got to built it to find out! It's really cute XD The title is designed by me and reads "本好きの下剋上" as in the Japanese title of "Ascendance of a Bookworm", so she has her own story in her hands. Very symbolic don't you think? XD

She also has a 1-sided white upper skirt, as in the anime, and some 2-sided misc to make her look like the original look of the anime (since in the manga she looks slightly different), like the knots of the upper skirt, her belt, her hairpin, etc.

Last one of the bunch people, and really the reason I started this project at all XD As said with Akane, I was inspired of making a Shampoo papercraft for myself, since I saw one on Taobao and I can't get these. So I though to myself, it can't be that hard to do and it looks super cute, I got to have this one. So I made a model, kind of the same pose as this one, and made the textures and I really wasn't happy with it. So it kind of stagnated in my files to be released yet for 1 year, and a few months ago I decided to do a makeover of her, and I am super proud how much more cute she is now than the original. Since in 1 year my texturing skills became quite good, I so this one is kind of my favourite of the bunch, since she was the first of them. But the character in the anime when I watched it, damnnn, I hated her XD got to say this. But she looks really adorable, so what can you do XD

As with Ryoga and Ranma, I also had to do both versions of Shampoo as well, the female and the cat version. Both are incuded in the papercraft, so you can do both. The papercraft is unfolded at 26cm, so Shampoo is 25cm, the same height as Akane in the papercraft project, and smaller than Royga and Ranma. The whole craft consists of 10 pages to print, both the female and the cat Shampoo papercrafts are made out of a 3D model, with some additional 2D misc to make them stand out. Now since Shampoo is Chinese and works for a Chinese restaurant, I had to make the cutesy ramen bowls along with it XD you can leave those out, if you want, but they are really the whole point of the pose, so I like them. Definetly would also suggest to fill the legs of the female Shampoo, so she can stand with no problems. The cat Shampoo stands like a pro, so no problem there ;)

Next in line for the Ranma½ papercraft project is the main character from what we get the name of the anime obviously, so here is Ranma! Originally a boy, his water-based curse is when splashed with cold water he turns into a female. Causing a lot of miscief with this really XD but it's fun!

 

So because of his transformation, I had to do both Ranmas, the original male and the female :) The craft again has both the male and female included, and is 28 cm tall (male), so the female is about 25cm (again to make it fit with the other Ranma papercrafts I made in a group). It has 12 pages to print, 6 for the male, 6 for the female. I made both in the same pose, so you can see the difference in height and all, since he has the same clothes when he transforms, they become bigger on him/her etc. :) He/she have again some 2D 2-sided misc to make them look better and more original. A basic human papercraft in terms of building difficulty.

Think that Ranma is the most politically correct character in todays struggle to identify as a gender really XD he is both in one, one day male, next 5min female XD and the anime is more than 20 years old XD but as you can see, still very fresh :D

Ryoga (Ranma 1/2) papercraft

Ryoga (Ranma 1/2) papercraft

Next in line for my Ranma½ papercraft project is Ryoga Hibiki :D decided to put him next because he is immortally in love with Akane, and he is the cutest transformed animal of the bunch, since when splashed with cold water he turns into a small, little, to-die-for-adorable, black pig, which Akane named "Pi-chan" XD 

So for the papercraft I decided to do both versions of him, the human and the animal/pig form :) The male 3D model, which is 28 cm tall (since he his a big bigger than Akane, and all of the Ranma½ papercrafts are meant to be able to stand together built in a coherent group) also has some accessories to again pinpoint his personality. Since he is homeless and travells around all the time, I had to do him with a simple 3D backpack and him red 3D umbrella (looks hard to do, but it's just a circle that you fold together and glue on the umbrella stick; so super simple to make, and looks very original). He also has some 2D 2-sided accessories, such as his headband, ropes on his legs, etc. 

The animal part, as is called "Pi-chan" or some write it "P-chan" by Akane, is also a simple 3D model with a 2D 2-sided scarf. Simple, but super adorable XD I love the black piggy!!! XD Both of them together have 10 pages to print, and of course are sold together as a pair. You can make both of them, or just the one you like really, with the accessories for Ryoga or not, it's completely up to you.

Akane (Ranma 1/2) papercraft

Akane (Ranma 1/2) papercraft

Decided to show you a new papercraft project I was wanting to release for a long time. Actually made 1 model out of it about 1 year ago and textured it and all, but I sort of never really liked it and didn't want to release it. So, this year I was looking around my unfinished work and saw the old model, and decided to do the whole bunch of the main character of the anime and I think they look so cute. Really worth it for waiting 1 year to release it, because now my texturing skills are on a point which I am glad to be able to show them to you all :D So today and this week, I am proud to present you the new papercraft project of the really old anime "Ranma ½"! Love the classic anime, love the characters, loved the manga, so better look it up of you don't know it yet :) it's an older version, the last movie came out in 2008, but so worth the watch :D it's something else, and who doesn't like slapstick anime anyway XD

The first character that was introduced in the 1. episode of the show is “Akane Tendou”, so I am first releasing her :) She is the main protagonist female of the series (kind-of XD since the male protagonist is also female XD haha). When I was watching the anime when I was a kid, she was always my favorite, since all of the other ones were so stupid and running around like chickens, and I really felt for her being confused and angry all the time. Especially Ranma not giving her the love back she was showing from time to time. Ahhhh, boys XD

The Akane papercraft is 25 cm tall and has 8 pages to print. I did each of mains representing their unique character so you get to know them up personal, and I though that she definitely needs the water kettle to turn Ranma back into a man again with hot water XD (if you don’t know what I mean, do look up the anime, it’s super fun). So always running around the kettle and splashing water on all of the bunch, that kinda sounds like Akane really XD So I made her with her 3D body and a 3D kettle craft for her hands. You can also make her without it, as you wish. She also has some parts in 2-sided textures, to make the craft shine, such as the skirt, hair, with 2D ears to make it easier, etc.

Think I did pretty much model her to perfection, in looks and personality (at least from what I remember as a kid when I was watching it everyday after school XD ahh the memories). Otus (Owlboy) built papercraft

Otus (Owlboy) built papercraft

Another one of my built papercrafts I can show you is "Otus" from the super cute and cool game "Owlboy"! :) A must-play game if you ask me, so play it :D

 

The papercraft itself is about 25cm tall. He has a 3D body, with a 2D 2-sided cape, 2D 2-sided yellow fillers, and his 3D gem on his chest. 

As with any papercraft, I started with the head. I made the nose and made the whole face first. After that I made the hair. Since it has many spikes and all, it's a bit fiddly to make, since you have to really look on how you have to bend the paper to make it glue together. That took some time. So I was really happy to finish that after a while, since it's more fiddly than the hands. Anyway, as I finished the hair, I glued that on the face, and finished all of the head till the white neck part. So the first step was finished. 

Now since Otus has a 2D 2-sided cape that can be attached at his neck part, I had to make the cape next. So you just glued that together with the parts, and glued the one part that has flaps on his neck. So I has his head and cape. After I had that, I decided to make the body part in 2 parts, the upper torso and the legs, since I wanted to make it easier for me to glue the torso really tight together at the neck part with the cape. Therefore I made both hands and arms first (and these hands are pretty simple, compared to others, since the fingers are just normal 4-sided cuboids). After I had the hands I made the upper torso part and glued it together, so I had the hole for the neck and the hole at the bottom where the legs are made, to make it easier to glue on the head. So, I glued that easy as pie thanks to the bottom hole on the head and cape and 2/3 of the craft were finished. 

All that was left were the legs. I made those attaching each part of them on the already built parts, since I wanted it to hold together really tight at the hips as well. It's a bit fiddly because of the cape part, but it's duable. If you want, you can also sepparately make the head and body part and then glue them together with the cape, as you prefer. But, as said, I decided to make it on the arm part, and as you finish at the feet, you can close them at the soles, like I normally do. And there you go! All that was left was to glue the 2D 2-sided accessories on him, such as the yellow fillers, the "moustaches" and his 3D gem (which is just a easy cube craft). And there you go, a finished Owlboy all for yourself :)

Darkrai (Pokemon) papercraft commission

Darkrai (Pokemon) papercraft commission

Time for another papercraft commission I did a while back and I can show you all :) For this one, I made the legendary Pokemon Darkrai, with included stand and all.

 

The papercraft is 16 pages long and 30 cm big, including the stand. It consits of a 3D Darkrai, which is based off the original Pokemon from the game "Sun & Moon", and has the normal as well as the shiny texture of it's body. And since Darkrai floats all the time and the commissioner didn't want it to have legs, I made a special 3D stand, that you can put him on and display it like that. The black stand is based off his dark aura attack, and also has 3 waves of his attack aura, that are just glued on the black stand collumn and are basic 2D 2-sided forms. 

All in all it's a pretty detailed Pokemon papercraft, some smaller parts are included, but for all the pain in making it, it look so much better and original at the end of it all XD so it's worth it, if you ask me, that's why I wanted to keep as much of the introcate small details of it's form as much as I could, without making it too unnecesairily complicated to glue together.
