Happy New Year~ Last post of the year 2020

Hello people of the papercraft universe :) Writing a bit early since I am gone for actual New Year and will not be on my PC, but this is the actual last post of the year 2020! AND IT’S ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!!

As already said with my Christmas wishes, the year has been pure crap, and thank hell it’s over soon. We can only hope the next one will actually bring us something good. No matter what you went through this year, shit politicians, corrupt governments, broken and trampled-on human rights, taken away freedom, lives lost, disease, fear, depression and psychical trauma, and not matter what “side” you are on with this pandemic, let’s not all forget that we are in this together. Quite literally, since we all live on the same planet really. And I think that’s the most important thing to learn from all of this. So, let’s try to skip the negative, internet trolling, bashing, badmouthing and judging others, and let’s try to set a positive attitude with the people living on the same planet as us. If not for them, do it for your own inner health and peace, because at the end of the day, you live with yourself and you alone are responsible for the course of your life. So, let’s take the last step of the year, say “Fuck you 2020!” and go out with a grand finale!

SNOWFLAKES | DIVIDER | BLUE SNOWFLAKES | DIVIDER | BLUE SNOWFLAKES | DIVIDER | BLUE
As for the picture in this post I made, it is the actual cover image I am now using on all of my social media sites and other sites, to unify all of them in a new design and a new attitude to papercrafts. I actually updated it more than 1 month ago, and didn’t really comment on it, but maybe since it’s the last post of the year, I can briefly explain what this has to do with anything.

This year I had a lot of time to actually assemble all of my old papercraft designs (since I always test assemble and assemble them myself), so because I had so many good ones, I decided to make a unified papercraft banner for my work. I wanted to join all of my sites together, so it’s clear I am the one and only designer behind all of them. And that my papercrafts are a serious work in which I put a lot of work and pride into as well.

I know times are getting harder, also in economic sense for the middle and lower classes (as always), and I know that I do have a bit of a complicated system for papercraft purchases, since I don’t have direct links for downloads. I know I overcomplicate things, and I know that I overreact sometimes when my things and designs get bluntly stolen or copied, so in all sincerity, thank you for all of you out there that followed me and supported me through this extremely hard, in mental and economic sense, year for me. I hope you can forgive my flaws; I do try to make things in a way so as much of you can be happy with the work I try to provide, and it is hard since everybody has their own taste and sense, but I really do try my hardest. Believe me.

I hope that in the future years to come, you can also support me the way you did, or even more, that would simply be amazing. I do apologize for not making anything special for new year or any freebies, I was simply too busy with “real-life” issues to make anything on the go. --- But do believe me when I say that I am preparing new posts as we speak, thinking of new giveaways for you, assembling new papercrafts (as you can maybe see in the banner picture as well ;)), and much, much more.

To over +10 years of papercrafting and to many more to come. I hope we all have a wonderful new year and keep your heads held high! There is always sunshine at the end of a thunderstorm! Always.

Happy New Year!

Frohes neues Jahr!

Srečno novo leto!

明けましておめでとうございます。

Gott nytt år!

Bird flock (Simple Version) papercraft

Since my “Super simple papercrafts” were so popular, I decided to make another round of simple papercrafts and I decided to make a bird-themed group craft. Why? Since I already made cat and dog simple version papercrafts, I also have to make birds, since they are my favorite animals out of them all, and everybody should adore these fluffballs like me, so here you go :)

The papercraft is called »Bird flock«, since it consists of 8 different bird/parrot pets that are the most popular types to have and love at home. The papercraft is unfolded to 16 cm and has 10 pages to print. Saying that, it means that the 2 cockatiels are 16 cm tall (including their crest), the 2 lovebirds about 10 cm, the 2 budgies 9 cm and the 2 finches about 8 cm. All of them are in pairs with the typical colors and feather-patterns they are mostly seen and are, as the title suggest, really SUPER SIMPLE DESIGNED and therefore SUPER EASY TO MAKE.

They are basically designed as an open box, you have 2 sides that you glue together with the “stripe” in the middle, leaving a hole at the bottom where you fold back the tails and feet. They have a separate 3D beak, that you put together and glue on the face, 2D wings, that you glue on the backs, and there you go. A super simple cute bird design that is really fast and fun to make :)

To remind people again what these “Simple version” papercrafts are, here is the explanation again:

As the name suggests, it is a project of a few really simple papercrafts I am making from time to time. Since I saw that many people are somewhat intimidated of my papercrafts and I do like to make more intricate designs and details in papercrafts, people tend to get scared of the work and difficulty. In order to show that it’s not the case and that I take an effort to make papercrafts available really for any kind of papercrafter, be it beginner, advanced or pro, I decided to address the issue and show that anybody can make papercrafts and especially designed some fun crafts that REALLY ANYBODY CAN MAKE, super simple and really fast. But most of all, fun!

These papercrafts are simple in design, have fewer pieces to cut out and assemble, they have no really small parts, are overall unfolded a bit bigger, they have more detached and “boxier” (simpler) pieces that you just glue on, and when assembled still look super sweet and awesome :)

I already did some papercrafts like that, which you can look at here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/gallery/75506959/simple-papercrafts

I hope you like parrots and birds of any kind as much as me, and I am surely going to show you all of the built versions I did of them as well. So stay tuned for the whole look ;)

Happy crafting till then~

Merry Christmas/ Happy New Year 2021! by Antyyy

Since it's almost the 25th December, I wanted to send my season’s greetings in a form of my papercrafts, since that’s obviously what I specialize in XD
These are the ones that I like the most, so only a fraction of the ones that are actually thrown on my “Papercraft highlight shelves” in the middle of my living room, since I wanted it to look a bit tidier than it actually is XD

This is a picture of all my papercrafts that I designed and assembled myself, probably 1/3 of the crafts I have made this year alone. Yeah, Corona did allow me to have a LOT of time this year, since everything is closed, we currently still got a second total lockdown where I can’t even leave my town, and nothing is happening anyway – but probably others had/still have a similar experience and I am surely not the only one XD

Also, there is still 1 day left for my Christmas giveaway contest (where you can win an exclusive black chibi Chocobo pair papercraft), so you still got time to enter:

Since I won’t be on my PC for 2 days, I will probably announce the winner of the contest in the late evening of 25th December (CET+1, since I’m on European time), so stay tuned for that ;)

And although the year has been total shit, and it’s still tough and many people will not be able to be together with their loved ones or are still suffering, there is always hope in every situation. It may not be the ideal situation, but keep on hanging on, if not for yourself, then in spite of everybody that is telling you to give up and keep laying down. Spit in the face of nay-sayers and show them what you are made of! Never stop getting up again when you fall. There may be days when you’ll fall, and you’ll keep on lying there, crying and feeling bad about everything - you are allowed to have those days, everybody does, we are all human after all - but after those, stop, and get up again and keep on fighting people. Never give up and let’s show the world that nothing will keep us down!

Merry Christmas to everybody still fighting their own fights, and may the next year be full of new opportunities and situations that are going to make us even stronger! Merry Christmas, a happy new year, and may it bring you the happiness you are searching for~

Kitsune Mask (Fox Mask) built papercraft

Another one for the built papercraft gallery! Since its online cosplay time (at least in my country there are some events), I decided to make myself my Kitsune mask papercraft, so here it is in all its glory.

The build is actually nothing special, if you ever made a mask prop before. I started with the inner ear parts and then separately made the eyes first, since these parts are »bulged« into the facemask and are maybe somewhat harder to make because of the inner edges. When I got those, I made the rest of the ears, connected them together, and build it stripe by stripe, connecting the eyes and then everything else, till at the end you just close it with the 3 gray outer edges.

The papercraft mask template and all info can be found here btw:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Kitsune-Mask-Fox-Mask-cosplay-prep-papercraft-858869441

Since already said in the template description, you have 2 options with this: 1. is a wall mount, where you can close the inner side as well, and the other being leaving out the inner side and only building it till the gray edges and then cutting off the flaps so you got yourself a cosplay mask prep. And the later is exactly what I did with mine, as you can see in the pictures where I made one of the inner parts of the mask where it isn’t closed. (Which is actually easier to make than actually closing it at the end, that can take up considerably more time and effort, so be careful what point you choose to close it, if you decide to close the back side – I suggest you make the front part of the mask first, and then the inner parts and closing it at the tip of the chin, which is the easiest way to go).

This way you can use it as a mask, you only have to add wire/thread, make holes in the eyes (and mouth so it won’t be too hot under it) and spray it with some strong clear spray so the mask holds. I also suggest to reinforce the inner side of the mask with some extra layers of crafting glue and toilet paper to make it super strong and leave it to try for the night. I will also add some bells on the sides so to give it more character, but I didn’t add any of those parts in the pictures, since I wanted you to see how the actually papercraft looks with no modifications yet.

Of course, this version can also be hanged from the wall like a wall mount as well, as you can see, since I had to pose it as that as well. It is sturdy enough if you build it just with the gray edges, since it holds its form, but for the wall mount I do suggest you make it with the back side as well, since then you can properly hang it with the crafted backside on every holster or nail. If you don’t and want to just make the front side and hang it from the wall, you can make a hole in the backside to hang it from or you can also tape or thread through some wire or rope and hang it like that.

The papercraft, btw. is unfolded to about 36 cm tall, from chin till ear tips, since I made it with measurements for my head, because I wanted a wide mask that fits comfortable and has enough room in it. Of course, if that is too big for you, you can also request a scale change when you buy it, as you can do with all of my papercrafts, and just tell me what size you would like it to be unfolded to and I’ll change it for you and send it in the size you want.

I hope you like it and happy crafting~

Yusei Fudo (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's) papercraft commission

Time to share another papercraft commission, so you can see some variety in what I can do with a craft. This one is the main character of the spin-off anime of Yu-Gi-Oh, »Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's« called »Yusei Fudo«.

As with every papercraft I make, the 3D model, the posing, the texture and the unfold are all made by me. Took me about 5 days to finish this, since the texture maps are quite detailed.

The papercraft consists of quite some separate parts, the 3D craft of Fudo, the 3D stand, his 3D duel disk, his 2D 2-sided cape that you got to build on him, 2 simple 3D boxes for his cards, quite a few 2D details (like the belt, the buttons, etc.) and a LOT of 2D playing cards for the duel disk deck and for his deck in his hands, so it looks original.
The papercraft was unfolded to 35 cm, since the Fudo papercraft should be 30 cm tall, and the pose is from an original PVC figurine (that costs 120 dollars or something like that), so waaaaaay more eco-friendly and friendly for your purse to make it as a papercraft, believe me XD And it’s the way the commissioner wanted. AND, if I may say so myself, looks better and more original than the plastic made by the tons in China. All we need now is to wait and see how it will look like build :)

I will keep you posted if I get pictures of the build, else I wish you a good time and happy crafting~

And because I am super slow with posting this (and all of my work really XD), the commissioner already made the finished papercraft XD So you can see the really amazing effort and work of her here:

Shigeo Kageyama (Mob Psycho 100) papercraft

This one is way overdue for posting, but since I didn’t have any upload limits for a 3D preview and other ones were more in a rush, I can only post it now, finally XD This is one of the most awesome anime that have been released in the last 5 years, from the anime “Mob Psycho”, I present you the most powerful telekinetic user of them all, and the most awesome nice guy, “Shigeo Kageyama”, also known under the nickname “Mob”, as he is called by his friends.

The papercraft is unfolded to 28 cm, and has a template with 12 printable pages. The actually craft consists of the character Mob, that is about 25 cm tall and the 3D stand.

The stand is made out of a normal stand in a 3D cylindric shape, and has simple (yet effective and awesome looking) 3D rocks around, that are just build and glued on the stand. It actually took me more time to design the stand than Mob itself, since he himself is rather simple to make XD I think, although the stand is optional to make, it’s super cool, and you can see the extent of Mob’s telekinetic powers like that, just making holes into the ground with his pure energy, like all awesome anime characters do XD So, I would definitely build the stand along Mob, just to get that epic effect of it.

The 3D craft of Mob is made out of an attached 3D body, with hair that stand apart from the head, and makes up for the original bowl-cut hairdo he has that you can recognize from 10 km away XD He also has 2D buttons that you glue on his school uniform like that, and apart from the 3D fingers, it’s actually not hard to assembled at all.

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

I hope you like it and you’ll watch the awesome anime if you don’t know it yet, definitely one of the better ones out of the 100.000.000 anime that are out there.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Whisper: Yo-kai Watch (Simple Version) built papercraft

Whisper: Yo-kai Watch (Simple Version) built papercraft

Here is my built version of Whisper I made for the “Super simple papercraft” project, meaning that it is easy to assemble and fast as well.

The template and info can be found here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Whisper-Yo-kai-Watch-Simple-Version-papercraft-863769939

Whisper is about 22 cm tall, so it’s a nice height to glue together and display anywhere in your room.

Since I make all of my papercrafts the same way, I also made this from top to bottom. There is nothing out of the usual here, just glue each part on each other, following the edge ID numbers, 1 stripe at a time, till you get to the bottom part. There, before closing it with the last few stripes, you should put weights into the bottom part of his ghostly tail to make it stand, else it will fall over. For this, I suggest using my ultra pro tip and add in a few pebbles, since they are small enough for the opening and at the same time heavy, and heavy enough to support the whole papercraft. After you put enough of them in, make sure the pebbles are placed correctly so it stands and then close the tail with the remaining parts.

All you have to do now is glue the remaining separate parts on. Glue both sides of the arms together and glue them on the body, as well as the eyes, and he is done.

I hope you like it and it makes you want to build a papercraft or two of your own. There are various papercrafts out there, easily made, as well as super hard ones, but if you like them and want to make your own (or improve), you can find the right papercraft for the right assembler ;) If you got any questions or comments, just write bellow and else enjoy~

Whisper: Yo-kai Watch (Simple Version) papercraft

I do like the Yo-kai Watch franchise and did play some games of them, so I decided to make the main 3 anime youkai as part of my »Super simple papercrafts«.

This one is called “Whisper” and is a ghost youkai that we first meet at the beginning of the anime. He knows everything about youkai, but only when he looks it up on his youkai tablet XD he is kinda annoying, but cute in his own way.

The papercraft is unfolded to 22 cm height, from bottom till the tip of his head, and the template consists of 4 pages to print out. The craft itself is simply made, as the name suggest. You have a main 3D easy body, with 2D 2-sided eyes and arms, that are just glued on at the end. It may look a bit hard to make, because of the curved tips at both ends, but it’s really NOT ;D He also stands on the bottom of his ghost tail, since I designed it flat and the center of gravity makes him stand with no problem.

As the name suggests, it is a project of really simple papercrafts I am making from time to time. ***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

Also note that all Yo-Kai (Simple Version) papercrafts are relative in height, so they fit together perfectly. And I also did a built version of it, so stay tuned for the update of how it looks assembled :)

You can find more of these simple papercrafts in my gallery bellow, if you are interested:

Else, I hope you like it and happy crafting~

Komasan: Yo-kai Watch (Simple Version) built papercraft

Here is my built version of Komasan I made for the “Super simple papercraft” project, meaning that it is easy to assemble and fast as well.

The template and info can be found here:

Komasan is about 22 cm tall, so it’s a nice height to glue it together and display anywhere in your room.

Since I make all of my papercrafts the same way, I also made this from top to bottom. So, the first thing I made was the ears. These are actually separate and 2-sided, so you make them first and then start assembling the head. After you got half of the head done, I suggest to glue the ears on then, because you got a nice and big hole at the bottom of the head to help yourself to really firmly attach/glue them on like that. And after they sit on the right position, you make the rest of the head. After the head comes the neck part, and then I decided to make the arms first.

After you have both bent arms, glue them one by one on the upper torso part piece by piece and continue till you reach the bottom. Close it with the feet, since they are open at the bottom, which allows you to really firmly glue the flaps on like they are supposed to be.

All you have to do now is glue the remaining separate parts on. I made the 3D backpack next, making sure to close it at the edges, because it’s simpler that way. And once it is built, simply glue it with the edges on the back of Komasan. It has the same shape as the back, so it should fit on perfectly. Then you have the 2D 2-sided flame eyebrows, how green bow, the 2D eyes, the 2D tail and his 2D purse, which you can glue on in any position you would like, and he is done.

Since he has the green backpack on his back, this allows him to actually stand in balance, so if built correctly, you can see from the pictures that he stands on his 2 feet without any help or weights.

I hope you like it and if you got any questions or comments, just write bellow and else enjoy~
