Bulbasaur (Pokemon) redesign papercrafts

Another different Pokemon papercraft inspiration I got. This time I made 7 different redesigns of Bulbasaur and drew inspiration from various illustrations of Pokemon I saw online. - Just trying to make something new and fun of Pokemon papercrafts that I think is cute :) and to maybe spark a fun new idea on how to make Pokemon papercrafts in the future. Not everything needs to be 100% the accurate and from the games; art is supposed to be imaginative and full of new ideas, so why not make something like this?

:bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen:

The papercraft template consists of 7 different reimagined Bulbasaur Pokemon that don't exist in the Pokemon universe as such, but were made up and redesigned as a Bulbasaur Pokemon variant with either a different type or as a regional/seasonal variant.

From center to right we have: Halloween Bulbasaur (black color with pumpkin), Strawberry Bulbasaur (green color with strawberry), Sakura Bulbasaur (pink color with sakura blossom), Christmas Bulbasaur (white color with Christmas tree),  Sunny Bulbasaur (yellowish color with sunflower), Love Bulbasaur (dark pink with red rose) and Icy Bulbasaur (blue color).

All 7 Bulbasaur are unfolded together in a group at about 10 cm height and are really simple to make, really low-poly and with separate parts to glue on there as such. The template has a whooping 17 pages to print, but you can print all of them, or just pick the ones you like best.

Hope you like the cuties and share around the idea of some new takes and reinventions on papercraft designs as well. And I definitely need to make these cuties and assemble them when I have time as well.

Also, this marks the last papercraft post of 2022. Hope you have a pleasant new years celebration and that 2023 brings much more happiness and PEACE as well.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Seasonal Rowlet (Pokemon) redesign papercrafts

Another different Pokemon papercraft inspiration I got. This time I made 4 different redesigns of Rowlet and drew inspiration from various illustrations of Pokemon I saw online.

:bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink:

The papercraft template consists of 4 different seasonal Rowlet takes that I made. Since the base real Pokemon Rowlet design could be mostly interpreted as a spring version (because of his green leaf bow and light brown color), I decided to focus on the other 3 seasons, with 2 winter redesigns, since I couldn’t decide which one I liked best. I also made it in its iconic sleep-pudding-mode pose XD since it was always so adorable in the anime when it slept like that and I just loved it. So he looks like a droopy, sleepy mochi without feet, since he is puffed-up and chillin'.

:bulletorange: :bulletorange: :bulletorange: :bulletorange:

From left to right we have: Sakura Rowlet (pink with flower bow), Autumn Rowlet (brown with leaf bow), Icey Rowlet (light blue with mistletoe bow) and Snow owl Rowlet (white with mistletoe bow).

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

All 4 Rowlet are unfolded together in a group at about 10 cm height and are really simple to make: low-poly and with separate parts to glue on there as such. The template is unfolded at 10 cm height and consists of 12 pages to print, 4 pages for each look, so you can print all of them, or just pick the ones you like best.

Hello Kitty kimono built papercraft

Since I posted the template already, I also wanted to show how she looks assembled and here is the preview and some tips for the build for those wanting to buy here.

The template was already released for this and can be previewed here btw.

All my papercrafts come with the blank PDO file for an easier assembly but I do like to post some tips here and there, to make the build a bit simpler yet.

:bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple: :bulletpurple:

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Best you start this craft with the head. You can make both ears separate and then astart making the top of the head, gluing on the ears on both sides, and making your way all down to the neck part. Once the head is done, put it aside and you can start making the 3D bows, both hands and both legs.

Leave those aside as well and make your way making the 2 sleeves/arms of the kimono and join them together at the neck part. Once the neck part of the kimono is done, you can attach the pre-made head on there. From here on it’s best to assemble the pieces on with the craft flipped over, because the head is quite heavy on its own. So, flip the craft on its head and build the remaining parts of the kimono to the bottom piece. Here, you have the last 2 dark purple parts of the kimono bottom to put on, one on the inside of where the feet will be, and the other to then close the bottom part.

Now that the papercraft is closed, all that remains is to put the pre-made separate bow, hands and feet on there at the right angle, as well as the 2D whiskers, and the craft is finished.

The crafts stands perfectly fine as is, but before closing the kimono with the last dark purple piece, you can put in weights for additional help. And I also suggest reinforcing the neck part when you put it on the kimono, so it holds nicely as well. A bit of tape from the inside to hold it still so it won’t snap, and it’s good to go.
