Callowing (Pokemon/Fakemon) built papercraft

Already posted the template of the fake Pokemon design here:

So now I can also share how the cutie looks like assembled and give some basic assembly tips as well for it.

*As with any of my papercraft templates, the blank PDO is always included in these files, so you help yourself with the 3D preview in Pepakura to assemble it, but I like to post a bit of experience I have with building papercrafts to maybe make things easier for less experienced papercrafters and share ideas on how to make it simpler :)

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Probably best way is to divide the papercraft into following separate parts for building them: the beak, the head with the feather neck, the body, the 2 wings and the legs.

Best is to make the beak part first and then build the whole head part around that. And then stop at the 2-sided feather neck.

Then you can make the separate 2 wings with the optional inner side and the 2 legs. The 2 legs are best to make from bottom to top, so make the gray parts with the fingers first, close the bottom part, glue on the tendon and then glue on the last 2 parts of the yellow leg parts on there and join them together. Doing this, you then glue the legs on the body first, and then close the body with the last piece in the back that has no flaps on it.

And at the end, just glue on the wings on the sides of the body and you are done.

Actually, a tip for the wings would be pro-tip: attach the wings on with tape and not glue. That way, the wings will stand out a bit from the actual body and they will look more natural and fluffed-up. To do this, cut out some tape and curl it into a circle, so the sticky part is on the outer side and glue one side on the wing and the other on the body. Really simple and looks nice as well.

Human Ampharos (Pokemon) papercraft

Saw some humanoid Pokemon illustrations online, so I got the inspiration to make one of my fav electric type Pokemon, Ampharos in his mega evolution form as a cute wizard human :) And here she is!

I went really wild with this one and tried all the ideas at once and she really looks like a crossover of Ampharos, a bumblebee and a Sailor Moon character XDDD but she is super cute and I love, love, loooveee the dress I made as well.

:bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow:

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 30 cm (so the girl herself is probably about 25 cm big) with 11 pages to print out (since of all the optional 2-sided parts). It consists of a 3D model of the humanoid Ampharos OC, as well as a lot of 2D 2-sided add-ons such as her 2 veils on the hair and dress, various 2D pearls for decoration, as well as her simple 3D staff.

The papercraft does have 2 legs to stand on, so along with the staff in her hands that is also touching the ground, it should not have any problems standing, even with the add-ons. The fiddliest part would be the head and the fingers/hands, else it’s just a bit longer to make, since he has all those add-ons, but nothing too hard to make. I would give it a 6/10.
