Disgaea built papercraft group

Time to show the 3 cuties from my Disgaea papercraft series together how they look :)

:bulletred: :bulletred: :bulletred: :bulletred: :bulletred:

As you can see, they are all in relative height and I made them keeping in mind they got to fit together, and they do! Just look how awesome they look; just like in the games I love so much :D

From left to right you have Etna, the mascot of the games Prinny, and Laharl. All of the premium templates have been posted before and can be found in my “Disgaea papercrafts” folder on DA here:

And you can also find their individual assembly tips and previews, shown in all angles as well.

*Note: All 3 separate templates have their own stands, the Prinny (penguin) papercraft has a stand with holes in it, so it can stand on it, and the other 2 have normal flat stands. I just didn’t use all 3 of them because they barely fit on the surface I make my photos on XD

As said in the assembly tips as well, the Etna and Laharl papercraft are VERY HARD to make. A lot of small, thin pieces need to be glued together and you have to reinforce a lot of extra parts, such as the spear, the necks, the scarf, the stand, fill out the inside of the legs to make them stand better etc. That’s why I say that I really recommend those 2 to be purchased by advanced and experienced papercrafters only, since it takes a lot of patience to assemble them. Be warned :D That being said, if you like a challenge, you have a lot of patience and would like to give it a go regardless, be my guest. They are hard to make, but it’s sooo rewarding to see figures like that being built and you see how cool they look at the end of it all.

Enjoy the pictures and go play the new Disgaea game to see how cool it is or watch the adorable anime adaptation :) Whatever you do, enjoy and happy crafting~

Prinny (Disgaea) built papercraft

When I released the preview template of Prinny, I did promise to make some assembly pics, so people can see the pictures of the papercraft in all-natural. So here is the cutie :)

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 35 cm, so without the stand and the standing scarf it should be about 20 cm tall, so on the bigger side of papercrafts in general, which also means no real small parts to look out for and easier building. I am confident that this papercraft can be made by eager papercraft beginners as well, as long as you follow the included PDF and blank PDO files you get along with it (and maybe some tips I wrote in here) when you purchase it.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As you can see from the template, it is made out of a lot of separate parts, the main would be the Prinny 3D model, the stand, his 2D 2-scarf and his pouch. So best way is to assemble each of the parts separate and at the end add all of those on there.

I started by making those 2 separate flippers/hands, his beak and his 2 peg-legs. When I had those done, I made my way from the top to the bottom, starting with the head. You start at the top and once you get to the part where the beak is, glue the pre-made beak right on and continue to the neck part. Once you get to the neck, you can glue the pre-made flippers on and continue building it right to the end of the belly. When you come to this part, you first glue the pre-made peg-leg part with the standing-out flaps on the body and the glue on the second one, making sure to glue it all on very neatly and help yourself with some tweezers or sticks to flatten it out – this is actually the hardest part of the assembly, because you need to close the Prinny papercraft at the back with his tail.

When you have those peg-legs on, you should have 3 remaining parts of the tail left, which you glue on and close at the back. *Pro-tip: before you glue the last 3 parts of the tail on, you can additionally add small magnets inside the pegs to make it stand. Obviously, because the pegs are so small, the Prinny papercraft cannot stand on its own without the stand or support, but if you add magnets inside and put it on a metal plate at the end (or glue the plate inside the stand), it should stand without any problems as all. It is a bit harder to fiddle these in, so I suggest people with a big more experience assembling things try this technique out, because the results can be really nice, just a bit harder to do.

Next, you can build the add-on red scarf of his. The standing-up part of the scarf should be made with a flat wire inside, as I did it. It’s super easy to make it stand that way. – Glue 1 side of the scarf together, take the wire and pre-shape it the way you want it to stand inside it, glue it on the inside of it, and then close it up with the backside of the scarf. Make sure to leave a bit of wire dangling out to be able to glue it on the scarf part around the neck so it holds, and it should hold like a bomb with the right glue. As you can see, the scarf can be put on or off whenever you want, so it’s a nice customizable part for the papercraft that looks really cute.

All you got to do now is to assemble the 3D stand (that has small holes inside it for the pegs to fall in and for the Prinny to be able to stand), the pouch with the belt and the 2D 2-sided wings and glue those on and the craft is finished :)

*Note: Obviously I made 1 version of how the Prinny papercraft looks like, but the files include multiple options and combinations of face-expressions and colors. I also made the pouch on his belly without the 2 black boxes that are also included (since the ones in the games also have those) or you can fill it with anything else you like.
