I have already talked about my old version of the main protagonist of »Ojamajo Doremi« and how, 6 years later, I decided to make a re-make of it to show how better it can look. You can find the post here btw:

And here you go, my take on Doremi now :) I decided to make her in the “Sharp” series dress, because it’s my fav ark and fav designs of the dresses and wands. Just wanted to have a bit of fun and remake some stuff from the olden days, since it’s still one of the cutest anime series and I also wanted to challenge myself a bit with my design skills now compared to when I started this whole thing.

            

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 20 cm and has 5 pages to print out. You have a basic 3D model of Doremi herself and I also decided to make 2 versions of the hands: one in 3D and one in 2D to make it easier for the assembly. Apart from that, she has her trusty magical flower wand that is a simple separate 3D shape with a bit of fiddlier, smaller flaps to glue together and the royal cape that is optional and can be left out.

Starry Sky Witch OC papercraft

Another different papercraft inspiration I got. I saw a nice anime AI and got the art muse flowing and wanted to make an original anime girl character and this is what came out. It is supposed to be an OC elf witch, so I called her “Starry Sky Witch”. Since her element is the sky, I wanted to make a universe-themed gown in shades of blue and black. And she also has a little familiar on her hat, the blue wobbly Sky bunny :)

             

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 23 cm and has 7 pages to print out. It consists of a 3D model of the witch, as well as some add-ons, such as her 3D sky bunny familiar, her 2D earrings, the pointy ears, etc.

I really wanted to make her the most gorgeous elf, so I did her hair in 2 really long tails that drag to the ground, so additionally to her 2 feet holding her up, you also have her hair in the back to make her stand. So, no need for weights for this one.

The hat is also separate and can be take off, as an interactive, optional part, as well as the sky bunny on her hat.

Took my time with this one and the dress alone has 4 different UV-maps, so I could really draw out all the star/universe details on there and make it super neat. I absolutely love the color-scheme on this one, and the color for the eyes really make her cute face stand out. I just love her; she is really gorgeous.

For the assembly itself, the fiddly part would be the head, but you can add the 2D, 2-sided hair tails at the end to make it simpler. She also doesn’t have any fingers/hands, since they are hidden in her huge sleeves, so that makes the assembly also easier. And then, you also have layers of the dress, so you can divide the papercraft build itself into many smaller, separate parts you just glue together at the end, so it should be a really fun assembly (but all of this is visible in the purchased blank PDO file you get along the other files anyway, so no fear or worries about the details, it’s all there and clear to see).
