Froakie Snowman built papercraft

Froakie Snowman built papercraft

It has been about 3 years when I made this papercraft group of Pokemon snowman papercraft XD But, since then I finally got time and decided to build the little fellas. So, here is my Froakie snowman papercraft.

Froakie
The papercraft itself is about 19 cm tall, so it’s big enough to use your fingers and hands in the inner side of the craft to make it nice and smooth.

All in all, the built was nothing particularly special. You build the papercraft starting with the eyes, since it’s the easiest. The eye part can be a bit tricky, more time-consuming that with the Chespin snowman, so be sure to make those without rushing. You make both eyes first and the join them together with the middle strap parts. And after that you build the rest of the head.

After that was done, I moved downwards and made the rest of the round body (gluing 1 strap at a time), and at the end you close the bottom with the bottom part.

After you have the whole 3D body, you can put on the remaining 2-sided 2D items, such as the scarf and his eyes. The scarf is a normal strap that you glue on around the neck. The remaining 2 parts of the scarf are 2-sided, so you glue the sides together first and then you glue them on the right spots. And at the end you cut out the black stripes for the eyes and glue them in the position you want, deepening on what expression you want the snowman to have (tilted to the middle they make a more angry-looking Froakie; tilted to the sites, like I did, make a more relaxed and leisurely expression). And the papercraft is finished :)

Overall, it probably took me about 5 hours to make, including cutting out, but I am a very fast builder, so take your time with the assembly. It’s not really hard to do, maybe the 3D eyes since they take more time, so it’s a nice and relaxing assembly all in all :D

You can find the template and all info of it here:

*Note that I did slightly fix the texture to be more “snowy”, using more white color for the colors of the snowman, so it doesn’t look as blue as it does on the screenshots. So, it looks more natural and better than the old version ;)

Hope you like the little cutie and that you got some snow around where you live to try to make one in real as well XD who knows. Enjoy and happy crafting~

Grim (Twisted Wonderland) papercraft

I really don't know if the game is THAT popular in the Western world, but Japan is going crazy about this adorable series for months upon months without end, so I thought I would cater to the taste of my Japanese viewers here as well. AND I am a huge fan of the game myself, since I play it, so who am I kidding here XD I also did it for myself.

The game is called “Twisted Wonderland” and it’s a bishounen mobile game with dormitory student life of teenage wizards and warlocks, and the main mascot and guide of the game is this adorable little fella called “Grim” the cat.

Black Cat
The papercraft is unfolded to 25 cm and has 10 pages to print. I just went crazy with the design. It consists of a main 3D body of Grim the cat with a load of different add-ons. It has a 2D 2-sided bow, his 2D 2-sided flames in the ears, a 2D white floof, his 3D broch (which isn’t as hard to make as it looks), and a LOT of his favorite foods, which is canned tuna XD Actually 7 cans of normal stacked tuna and 1 can of opened tuna, all made out of simple 3D cylinder shapes, so you can print out those tunas and make a whole castle of them if you want :D

The fiddly part of the build is definitely going to be the pitchfork-shaped tail of his, which is all in 3D and part of the body. But because of that tail and because it touches the ground, along with his 2 feet, the cat papercraft should stand with ease.

The tail has the smallest parts to assemble, so if you are thinking of buying it and are not confident about your assembly skills and the help I provide with the assembly, I can always adjust the scale of the papercraft to a bigger size (as with any of my sold papercraft templates), so just say so when you are purchasing it.

I hope I got some people interested in the game and that you’ll take a look at it. It’s really popular in Japan, especially in the VROID section of the internet XD I hope you like my little grim as well, think it’s a pretty accurate representation of his character in the games :D
