Pikachu (Pokemon) redesign built papercraft

Already released my redesigned Pikachu papercraft template I made. You can view the preview of it here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Pikachu-Pokemon-redesign-papercraft-963773357

And since I also assembled it, you can now view the preview of the built craft and can read on some tips, if you’ll buy the template, so it’s easier for you when you do make it.

*As with any of my papercraft templates, the blank PDO is always included in these files, so you help yourself with the 3D preview in Pepakura to assemble it, but I like to post a bit of experience I have with building papercrafts to maybe make things easier for less experienced papercrafters and share ideas on how to make it simpler :)

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all the papercrafts I make, start with the top/head. I first made the 2 ears separately and then the blue fur parts of the ears. Then you can make your way down the head till the cheeks until you have the whole head assembled.

Next, you can make the 2 hands and the whole tail separately. For making the tail, I really suggest you additionally reinforce it. *Pro tip 1: Additionally reinforce the tail by using some flat wire on the inside. The kind of wire you normally use for holding up flowers in the flower shop work PERFECT. This wire is glued inside a paper-like shell that is flat and that can be glued on like paper, with the same glue, or with some tape. Make sure the wire is a bit longer than the tail, so you can attach the other end of it inside the body when you glue on the tail.

Then you can make your way down the body, glue those first few parts on the neck, and then you can attach the pre-made hands on there. Assemble the back part next and when you have the whole back, glue on the pre-made tail on there and then glue on the other end of the wire you used for reinforcing in on the body before you start the legs, so it’s easier and more accessible if you need to use stronger tape for it to hold.

All that is left is to glue both legs on and then close the whole body with the last bottom part of the body that has no flaps on and you are done.

Additionally, to that, when you glue on the legs part on, you can put in some weights inside them, to make the papercraft stand better, since the tail is quite heavy at the back and you need to weight them down more at the front to make it stand better. *Pro-tip 2: I always say, the best weights I found for papercraft are small pebbles. They are small enough to fit inside the papercraft parts you want to weight down, they don’t rip up the paper or deform it, and at the same time they weight just enough to make the craft stand like an ace. Really neat to use those, trust me and try it :D

Angelic Frog papercraft

Saw a cute frog illustration online and decided to do an angelic frog papercraft, just for fun really. It’s a simple craft with many 2D, 2-sided parts to just glue on so it looks very detailed, but it’s simple to assemble.

:bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen:

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 18 cm and has 4 pages to print. It consists of a 3D frog model, as well as 2D items, such as the back wings, the hands and feet, the halo, the toga and the flowers.

*On a side note: Under no circumstances do I promote any kind of religion or faith, since I am strictly against any kind of religious dogma, from Christianity to Hinduism, Islam, Animism, Astrology (yes, it’s the same unfounded, non-logical, unscientific belief system as all religions have), etc. I am a woman of science, evolution and rationalism and I personally believe these indoctrinated systems give birth to violence and wars, as well as destroy the very foundation of human kind. -- This is not supposed to be a typical Christian “angel” as people know it, because as with many things this religious system falsified during humankinds’ history, the true angels from any kind of “holy” texts are not even depicted as human-like, have 20 wings, 1000 of eyes, etc. Yeah, look it up, human-looking winged people or angels are not a religious thing, but a symbol and a mythical being anybody should use, without having to justify their position on religion and such nonsense. So, it’s a winged, angelic white light being; a non-religious angel that symbolizes purity and elegance itself.

Just wanted to do some different, fun to design papercrafts I liked myself, and this came out of it. I really love frogs; they are super cute animals and I also collect figures of frogs if I see some nice ones XD

Hope you like the winged cutie in and case and
happy crafting~
