Yor (Spy x Family) papercraft

Time for another “Spy x Family” papercraft release (since the 2. season is starting soon), and this time it’s the gorgeous “Yor Forger” or Ibarahime known for those she assassinates XD

The papercraft is unfolded to 25 cm and has 6 pages to print. She is bigger than the Anya papercraft I made, but definitely not big enough in ratio for both to fit together. BUT, the papercrafts, when bough, can always have their height changed, you just need to say what you would like it to be changed into (in a reasonable ration, + or – 20 cm).

This piece, let me tell you, has so much texture details. That underskirt with the roses... =_= puff, I probably spent 4 hours on just the inner skirt alone to draw those rose patterns on there. But the end result does look as gorgeous as in the manga, so I am very happy with it.

The papercraft template consists of a basic 3D model of Yor, with 3D hair and 2D 2-sided braids, then her 3D pins, 2D neckpiece, ears, earrings, roses and hairband and a double-sided skirt part that is simply glued under the skirt.

The smallest, fiddliest details would be her pin weapons, since I did make them in 3D and they are quite small. The form is a basic cube one, but still a bit of work on that. And then you also have her neck part that I left 2D and the 3D fingers, as always on any human papercraft I make. The roses look complicated, but it’s the same pattern I used on my wedding bear pair one, so simple 2D parts to glue on top of each other.

Since it’s bottom-heavy because of the skirt, she should be able to stand just fine, although she has high-heel boots. When in doubt, you can always put a bit of extra weights inside the legs to make her stand 200%, just in case.

I’ll be sure to spend some free time (once I get it) on the assembly of her, so I can also show her preview pictures. She will make a perfect addition to my crafting display case XD

Hope you have fun watching/waiting on the new season 2 in autumn and build yourself a papercraft or 2 if you have time. Enjoy and happy crafting~

Flareon chibi human built papercraft

The template preview of the premium Flareon chibi human papercraft was already posted. You can find that here:

But what’s left to do now is to show the preview of how the assembly looks and how it’s built as well, so here you have it :)

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 17 cm (including the height of the ears, so I would say about 15 cm base) and has 3 pages to print out. It includes all the PDF versions as well as the blank PDO files – as do all of my papercrafts – but I always like to explain a bit and give some extra tips & tricks on how to make it the easiest way.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

You start off by making the face part with the neck first. After that is finished, glue the hair parts on, starting with the front bangs till the back of it and at the end you can close the head with the tail end.

Next you can do the separate 2D hands, arms, 2D ears and tail so you have them ready when needed. You start off by gluing the neck part of the dress on the already made head. And then add the arms on there and build along till the dress part where the tail is, so glue the tail on. And after the tail is attached, build the dress to the end. When the whole dress is done, you can glue on the hands on the right position you want, and add the ears and the scarf around the neck.

All that is left to do now is glue the pre-made separate legs and bottom part of the craft on the inside of the dress. Before doing that, fill up the legs with weights so it stands better. *Pro-tip: As with all of my papercrafts, I always use small pebbles to fill the inside of a craft to make it stand. Try it out, they are really neat, small but heavy enough for any of them.

Glue the legs with the weights on the inside with the remaining flaps and make sure you adjust the angle of the legs the right way so they are even and the papercraft can stand on its own. And it’s done.

*Note that I did make the assemble papercraft in the preview without the colored inside of the front hair-bangs. The PDO template has all of those options included and can look even neater when used.

I hope you like the end product as much as I do. All 9 of the Eeveelution bunch are unfolded in a relevant height, so they fit together as a whole group as well :)

Do enjoy and happy crafting~
