Human Mimikyu (Pokemon) built papercraft

Already released my humanoid Mimikyu papercraft template I made. You can view the preview of it here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Human-Mimikyu-Pokemon-papercraft-966946386

And since I also assembled it, you can now view the preview of the built craft and can read on some tips, if you’ll buy the template, so it’s easier for you when you do make it.

*As with any of my papercraft templates, the blank PDO is always included in these files, so you help yourself with the 3D preview in Pepakura to assemble it, but I like to post a bit of experience I have with building papercrafts to maybe make things easier for less experienced papercrafters and share ideas on how to make it simpler :)

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all the papercrafts I make, start with the top/head. I first made the 2 ears separately and did the whole hoodie part. Then I made the face part separately, and then you can glue the face inside the hoodie (this can be fiddly, so make sure to take your time with this step and glue 1 flap at a time to make it hold on and look neat at the same time).

When you have that, you can make the 2 arms separately (the black parts) and the whole leg part separately from the rest. When you have these parts, make the beginning of the neck parts, so you can glue the 2 pre-made hands on there and then continue till you finish the whole dress part.

All that is left is to glue on the 2-sided tail and the legs and that’s it.

Additionally, to that, when you glue on the legs part on the inside of the dress with the flaps, you can put in some weights inside them, to make the papercraft stand better. *Pro-tip: I always say, the best weights I found for papercraft are small pebbles. They are small enough to fit inside the papercraft parts you want to weight down, they don’t rip up the paper or deform it, and at the same time they weight just enough to make the craft stand like an ace. Really neat to use those, trust me and try it :D

Luna (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's) papercraft commission

Another papercraft commission I can share, and this time it’s “Luna” or in the Japanese version “Ruka”.

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

A pretty straightforward papercraft actually, consisting of a whole 3D model of Luna, her simple pink jacket with a 2D hoodie, a custom-designed 3D duel disk with cards and some smaller 2D add-ons. And besides her is her cute sidekick, the male counterpart of a Koriboh, called “Kuribon” :D A simple 3D sphere with 2D add-on fur parts to make her look really fuzzy and yet is simple enough to assemble.

It’s unfolded to 25 cm and has 7 pages to print. The head is a bit more difficult to make, such as all those Yu-Gi-Oh papercraft commissions, as well as the hands and the Kuribon, because of the smaller parts. But nothing too serious if you want to assemble it yourself. I would give it a 6 on a difficulty scale of 1 to 10.

The craft, as I saw it, is already in the making, so I can share the sweet pictures as always. Hope you like it in the meantime and go make some nice papercraft of your own choosing as well.

Enjoy and happy crafting~
