Betty (Yo soy Betty, la fea) papercraft commission

Another open commission I can show all of you. This is the original Betty character, from the telenovela »Yo soy Betty, la fea«, which is the first spin-off of countless other popular telenovelas of this kind to follow: Ugly Betty (which is the English spin-off), Grda račka (which is the Slovene spin-off, and people in the 90s were crazy for in my country), and 100 of more with a similar take on the story XD

The papercraft commission was based on the 1 image shown as reference in the preview and was drawn by Laroxbox you can find and follow on Instagram. I made the version a bit lighter than the original image and tried to somehow leave the 2D vibe of it with the texturing. It’s unfolded to 25 cm and has 8 pages to print.

If I get the pictures of the finished papercraft, I will definitely share it with all of you. It’s a simple-looking papercraft on the surface, yet it has quite some smaller details to make, such as the 3D separate earrings and those small ears and hands. And I definitely suggested making the 2D glasses with see-though foil to make it look like real glass, the same way I made my Riko (Made in Abyss) papercraft as well.

Hope you like it; sharing because I want people to see that anything can be made into a papercraft, even if it’s based just off of 1 illustration you find on the internet.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Marina (Koikatsu ver.) papercraft commission

Sharing another quite spicy sexy commission this time. It’s the known Splatoon character called »Marina« but in her Koikatsu edited look from the game :) Nothing wrong with a bit of sexiness and sass really; I know people love the female body generally as an art subject since ancient times, so why not also make them in papercraft form for a bit of fun as well.

:bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen:

The overall craft is just a preview, since I can’t show every small detail, but all the details are there. The papercraft itself is, of course as always, 100% made by me, and was modeled using picture references of the model preview in the game the commissioner sent. - Only pic references, I just need 1, and everything can be made according to every wish :)

It consists of the 3D model of Marina (including the 3D hair, it’s all 1 piece to glue together) that is unfolded to 30 cm. And then you have the 2D optional add-on, her bikini, and her 3D earphones or 2D 2-sided ears, whatever is preferred.

It obviously cannot stand on its own, because it’s very top heavy and because the way it’s bend over and the legs are posed, but the commissioner wanted it to have the same pose and is going to use a 3D figma figure stand for her when it’s done, so it’s going to be able to stand that way. Would still suggest putting in weights inside the legs, as I did suggest the commissioner as well – you can never be too sure with these things, and if you really want it to last for years, it needs to be done the right way.

:bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen: :bulletgreen:

I did request the assembly pictures of her when it’s done, but no idea if I’ll be able to share them. She is gonna be special, that’s for sure :) … ACTUALLY, just kidding, I already have the pictures, so you can view the amazing assembly of this difficult papercraft here:

Hope you like the commission. I post these as work-references so people can see what kind of commissions they can expect and request from me, and to get a general idea of what can be made into paper templates. Anybody interested in making these, as said, just message me in private and send me the reference material of what you would like to be done and we can start the process. Details of how the papercraft commissions generally work can be found in the link above.

Enjoy and happy crafting~
