Timer ball (Pokemon) papercraft

Decided to do a whole bunch of different life-size box Poke ball designs and I made a LOT, since I had so much fun making them XD so from now on, you’ll get to probably see at least 1-2 Poke ball papercrafts posted on my site for a long, long time.

They range from the normal in-game designs, to exclusive Pokemon designs I made up as OC’s. They are all relative in height, about 11 cm (not including the stand and the ears and accessories, if they have any), so they all fit together as a bunch. I made them as life-size Pokemon-themed boxes, since they can open and close like a box with a lid and they all have optional double-sided print pages for a colored inner side, so the box looks neater when built. The 2 buttons in the front are separate 3D parts glued on the front. They also all have optional stands, so you can place them inside and they don’t roll away.

*Note that all of them are more challenging to make, are more detailed and have smaller or thinner parts, so I do not recommend any of them to beginners. I think these are best suited for intermediate and experienced papercrafters, but who am I to say what you can and cannot do (;

This is the Timer ball design papercraft box. It is unfolded to 16 cm (11 cm of the actual Poke ball height) and has 4 pages to print out (3 of them being double-sided).

The preview picture shows the unfolded Poke ball template that stands apart a bit, so it is easier to assemble with the inner part shown, but you can also see the closed preview and how it looks, just so you know how it looks closed.

Boosette (Super Mario) papercraft

Got into some Super Mario lore basically, and found some not-so-well-known and more-known OC characters from the universe. So, I decided to make some of them into papercrafts, the ones I liked really, and make them the way I think they look cutest.

**************

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 22 cm and has 6 pages to print out. The Boosette (also called Booette or Queen Boo) is made as a basic 3D model, with simple separate 2D front and back hair, optional 3D or 2D hands, some simple 2D flat add-ons (the 2 boos as optional images in the background you can glue somewhere on the wall she will stand in front of, for instance), her 2D crown with a 3D jewel, and 2 layers of the dress.

She stands on both feet, but she has very high heels on, so you should definitely add additional weights inside the legs when you assemble her so she can stand. Additionally to that, you can also add in magnets or wire to do so, as you wish.

Mualani (Genshin Impact) built papercraft

Already posted my Mualani papercraft template:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Mualani-Genshin-Impact-papercraft-1120878123

And now it’s time to assemble her and give you some pro-tips on how to make life simpler for yourself when doing these. Let’s go.

**********************************************************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the hair, the 2 arms, the torso with the arms, the various add-on ribbons and the 2 3D maracas, and the legs with the shoes.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then you glue on the front hair, and lastly close it with the back hair. After this, you can glue on the hair tail on the top head.

Next you can separately build the 2 arms, with either the 2D or 3D hands (note that I did the preview pics with the 2D version of the hands). When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the torso at the neck, and when you come to the shoulders, glue those on. When you have the torso glued together to the bellybutton, set this part aside.

Next step is to make the legs. You do this part by assembling the legs from bottom to top and finish with the buttocks part. This means, build the shoes first, set aside, and start gluing the leg from the soles and feet upwards, till you make both legs separatrely. And after this, glue the legs on the remaining butt parts and then glue the feet inside the shoes.

And before anything, fill up the legs with some weights here, to make her really stand firmly (*Pro-tip 2: I always suggest smaller pebbles, since they are small enough to fit and heavy enough to help with the weight as well, without rupturing the paper itself).

Next, glue these parts now together. Glue the legs’ part inside the bellybutton torso part, making sure to glue them at the right angle, so the figure can stand comfortably.

Now you have the remaining 2D and 3D parts to glue on, which you all make separately and glue on at the right place and the right angle. Make sure to leave the 2 2D 2-sided braids till the very end, so they are not in the way and you can manipulate them into standing at a right angle. Additionally, you can *pro-tip 2: glue wire on one side of the braid before closing it with the other side, so the wire is sticking out the braid at the top and you can glue that part inside the head to pose the braids into standing the way you want.

*Note: The papercraft preview is made with 2D hands. The files for printing-out have both the 2D and 3D hand versions, so you can choose which ones to make.

Azura (Fire Emblem) papercraft commission

Another Fire Emblem papercraft commission I can show a preview of, this is Azura or Aqua from the Fire Emblem, made with some really nice water droplet stand to highlight her affinity to water.

The papercraft is unfolded to about 37 cm, with 24 pages to print (most of them being double-sided print pages for the inner dress parts and the back side of the hair). Azura herself is about 32 cm tall, so she is the same scale as the female Corrin one I made as a commission before, so they fit together.

I am pretty sure the commissioner will share some pictures sooner or later, because they always make amazing builds and I can’t wait to see this in real life and brought to action soon (:
