For anybody living under a rock, POKEMON IS NOW IN ITS 10TH GEN RELEASE! Yes, we are getting gen 10 this year, at least the previews and some spoilers, and this is the conformed fire starter from the new Winds and Waves versions of the game I already made as a papercraft:

ASSEMLBY TIPS:

As with all of my papercrafts, you start from top and build to bottom.

Assemble the 2 ears separately and then start making the top of the head, attach the 2 ears on and make the whole head, leave the hole for the snout and build the whole front part of the head. Now build the snout part separately and glue it inside the hole, so you can center it nice and smooth. Add the 2 small 2D teeth and tounge and glue on the front fur parts on as well.

Next, start making the back side of the neck with the back side of the fur parts. Glue the fur parts together, so the fur in the back and the front is touching.

When you have the first half of the body, set it aside and make the 4 3D paws and the 3D tail all separately first.

When you have those, glue the first 2 front paws inside the body, make the whole body till you have the butt part left. Now, glue on the remaining 2 back paws and then the tail, making sure to additionally attach and glue it with tape from the inside, so it doesn’t break off.

Once everything is nicely fit, close the butt part with the last 2 parts (Pro tip: Put some weights inside through the feet holes at the end at the back, if you want to make it stand better. It stands on its own, since 3 of his paws are on the bottom, but it can stand better that way) and you are done.

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the neck, the arms, the upper torso with the pants, the legs, the boots, and the 3D sword and jacket.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then the simplest way is to make the braid separately (I made the 2D braid here, but you also have the full 3D version of it). When you have the whole braid done, slide the braid inside the hole in the head for the braid with glue on the flaps of the braid, to just close it like a lid and press a bit, till the glue is try. With this, the braid should hold and the head is done. You can also glue on the 2D ears on (and the hair pins if you are making the other version).

Next you can separately build the 2 hands, with either the 2D or 3D version (note that I did the preview pics with the 2D version of the hands). When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the first few rows of the torso till you make the whole torso part with the belly. When you have this, glue the second stripe for the pants part on the torso and build the remaining parts of the pants just like that. Only at the end, glue on the first stripe of the pants on, so you hide the top flaps. The whole torso should now be done.  

Next step is to make the legs. You do this part by assembling the legs from bottom to top separately first. Then glue the legs inside the pants at the right angle.

Set aside again and make the 2 boots next. Grab the boots and glue them on the legs, by making sure they are at the right angle and the papercraft figure can stand. I also suggest *pro tip: adding some weights inside the boots and legs as well to make her stand nicely.

All that is left is to add the 3D sword and the jacket. With both jackets, you need to close it on the finished Rumi papercraft. Make the straight left sleeve separately and make the whole main jacket and right sleeve together, but do not close it completely (leave the last stripe of the jacket at the bottom open, so you can slide it on the figure). When you have this, slide the jacket on, close the last stripe and glue it on first, and then slide on the left sleeve and glue it on the jacket.

If you want to make it even simpler, you can make the Rumi papercraft with all the steps, but do not glue on the 2 separate arms on yet. Make the jacket first as a whole, slide it on the torso, and THEN put the arms inside the jacket sleeves at the end with glue (since the inside of the torso isn’t visible with the jacket anyway). Even simpler and easier and you got yourself an original KPop Rumi figurine!

*NOTE: The preview is only for the 2D braid version of the basic yellow jacket version. The bought template includes interchangeable:

- 2 skin options (the normal and the demon scar one),

- 2 hair options (a simpler 2D flat braid or a 3D braid),

- 2 hand options (simpler 2D or 3D),

- 2 separate jackets (the normal yellow one and the golden one),

- 2 pants with add-ons (normal and golden),

- and 2 boots (normal and golden).

BACKGROUND STORY:

As many of you know and still remember, DeviantArt has been a huge art site ever since it started in 2000. It was a great site for actual ART and actual ARTIST making their thing and posting and getting their stuff out and making a name for themselves. But ever since 2020, when the devil called Wix bought this domain and took over, DeviantArt is a sham and husk of what it once was.

The community turned to sh*t, the site is pure sh*t, it’s unusable and basic functions have been locked behind paywalls, all the while they are selling every last bit of their actual artists on here to AI crap and making it an unusable garbage to find anything on.

In these last months that they have even locked the basic download function of the site, it has become clear to everybody still struggling in this sinking dumpster fire hellhole, that our bellowed DA is drowning big time, and we all have the feeling that the site will completely shut down soon, since they are getting desperate and trying to milk everybody for the last bucks they can get from us.

I mean, who would have thought that actually NOT listening to the fanbase of artists making up this site to the glorious thing it was before all this would be a BAD IDEA. Huh. Really weird. It’s like corpo actually listening to people complaining about 1000 problems on here and more since Wix made it sh*t would help elevate this crapshoot to a somewhat decent site again. It’s like actually people using the site makes the site good and Wix just making everything unusable and full of AI and porn which 99% of artist on here HATED would make it unpopular to the degree it is now. Weird.

Long story short, DA is sh*t, it’s dying, nobody wants to use it because it’s just AI and porn and disgusting fetish trash. Everybody get your backup stuff now if you still haven’t gotten everything. And good luck to us all trying to establish our businesses and hobbies on other sites in the future.
