Heal ball (Pokemon) papercraft

Decided to do a whole bunch of different life-size box Poke ball designs and I made a LOT, since I had so much fun making them XD so from now on, you’ll get to probably see at least 1-2 Poke ball papercrafts posted on my site for a long, long time.

They range from the normal in-game designs, to exclusive Pokemon designs I made up as OC’s. They are all relative in height, about 11 cm (not including the stand and the ears and accessories, if they have any), so they all fit together as a bunch. I made them as life-size Pokemon-themed boxes, since they can open and close like a box with a lid and they all have optional double-sided print pages for a colored inner side, so the box looks neater when built. The 2 buttons in the front are separate 3D parts glued on the front. They also all have optional stands, so you can place them inside and they don’t roll away.

*Note that all of them are more challenging to make, are more detailed and have smaller or thinner parts, so I do not recommend any of them to beginners. I think these are best suited for intermediate and experienced papercrafters, but who am I to say what you can and cannot do (;

This is the Heal ball design papercraft box. It is unfolded to 16 cm (11 cm of the actual Poke ball height) and has 4 pages to print out (3 of them being double-sided).

The preview picture shows the unfolded Poke ball template that stands apart a bit, so it is easier to assemble with the inner part shown, but you can also see the closed preview and how it looks, just so you know how it looks closed.

Powerpuff Girls Z papercraft

Ahhh yes, who doesn’t know the good ol’ Powerpuff Girls from Cartoon Network from back in the days. But who knows that an actual anime adaptation of the cartoon exists as well? It was called “Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z” and I found it so nice when I watched it XD they were so adorable and I loved their style. Annddd again, since I am an old hag and love to remember the good ol’ days without all the shit going on today, I thought about this anime as well and I had to make a papercraft out of the 3 as well (: And here they are: 出ましたっ!パワパフガールズZ!

******************

The papercraft is unfolded to 23 cm and has 11 pages to print. The template consists of all 3 models of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, with a 3D body, optional 2D or 3D hands, their 3D weapons from the anime and many smaller 2D add-ons, such as the jackets, the bows, the belts, etc.

Hyper Blossom aka Momoko (the pink one in the middle) has a 3D head with hair, 2D front hair bangs, the tail end is 3D and then the whole tail in the back is 2D 2-sided to make it really easy to assemble. Her weapon in a 3D yo-yo and she has a 2D jacket, a 2D bow and belt, a 2D ring and optional 2D or 3D hands. The cuffs on the arms and legs are also 3D and part of the body, but they are simple to assemble as is.

Rolling Bubbles aka Miyako (the blue one on the right) has a 3D head with hair, 2D front hair bangs, the 2 tails are basically 2D stripes that you assemble and glue on as they are, so really easy to assemble. Her weapon in a 3D bubble wand and she has a 2D jacket, 2D hair twills, a 2D ring and optional 2D or 3D hands. The cuffs on the arms and legs are also 3D and part of the body, but they are simple to assemble as is.

Powered Buttercup aka Kaoru (the green one on the left) has a 3D head but separate 3D hair spikes and 2D front hair bangs, so the hair is a bit fiddlier to make. Her weapon in a 3D hammer and she has a 2D jacket, 3D hair pins, a 2D ring and optional 2D or 3D hands. The cuffs on the arms and legs are also 3D and part of the body, but they are simple to assemble as is.

They all stand without needing weights, but since Buttercup has that huge hammer on her back, I would urge you to put weights inside at least for her, inside the legs, when you make it, so I doesn’t fall over. And since they are basically made all the same, I suggest you build them at least in 2 separate parts, so you can make the head and torso part with the dress completely separate from the legs, and then glue them together at the end, to get the standing angle right and to make the assembly easy as well.

Hope I brought you the PPGZ universe a bit closer and if you don’t know it already, do give it a watch. They are funny, and if nothing else, look way cuter than the cartoon version XD at least for me.

Enjoy and happy crafting~
