Arthur chibi (Fire Force) built papercraft

My next “Eneno no Shouboutai” papercraft! It's the lovably clumsy and sometimes reality-remote chibi Arthur, the so-called “knight” and “hero”, as he proclaimed to be of himself:D

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

As with all my crafts, I always start at the head. Built the face first (with the neck) and then make your way to the back of the head with the hair and 2D 2-sided hair, gluing it where it is shown in the PDO templates. And once you get to the top part with the hole, just close it with the pre-build separate ponytail you just glue inside the hole, helping yourself with the hole in the neck part, if necessary, and the head is done. All there is left are the 2 2D 2-sided ears you glue on the right sports and the head is done.

Moving on, I made the 2 arms separately first. After you have only the arms done, glue the “stumps” inside the arms at the right angle. And after those are glued, you can glue on the simple 2D 2-sided hands on and bent/curl both thumbs and index fingers to the right pose to hold his Excalibur sword (see my reference picture above so you know what I mean), and those are done.

When the arms are done, built the first half of the jacket with the collar. When you got that, glue the arms on the jacket and then slide the neck part (of the built head) inside the hole and glue it up from the inside. Let that part dry good, and when it does, use curled-up waste paper to bulk up that tiny neck of his to prevent it from snapping (it’s a chibi papercraft, so the necks are always the most difficult part, since they are so small and the head disproportionately big).

After that built the remaining jacket part and then move on to the legs. The legs can be assembled separately from the main body, since they fit inside the jacket and it’s easier that way, so do just that. Built the feet from the bottom upwards, first making the boots and make your way up till you reach the last part. In this phase you can fill out or add weights into the feet (if you want to be 100% sure it stands), but he stands pretty good without any help as well. And after you are happy with the feet, simply paste glue on the flaps and glue them on the body at the waste part, adjusting the right angle so he can stand, and there you go.

All that is left is to make the last parts, the separate 3D Excalibur sword, that you glue in his right hand. Really simple boxy design, so just build that with the help of the PDO and then glue it in the pose and angle you think looks best. And we are done.

He is pretty sturdy for a chibi papercraft, if you assemble him right. The neck is “hidden” inside the collar, making the most vulnerable part (the neck) pretty stiff even without extra reinforcing it.

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

***WARNING! To be fair, I did glue the head on wrong, meaning that the head should be tilted more to the right side and not looking straight as he is in the preview. Shows that everybody is human, and I do make mistakes, what can you do. I didn’t even notice it once I was done and looking at the PDO where the head is shown to be tilted to the right XD Yes, I make mistakes, I own up to it. Still looks adorable even with the straight head non-the-less.

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue: :bulletblue:  :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

I hope you still like him with the slight mistake I made and you’ll get some ideas to assemble a papercraft or two on your own. The template and info about the purchase can be found here:

As always, just sent a private note and let me know if you would like to buy it. In any case, happy crafting~ and "Latom!"

Iris chibi (Fire Force) built papercraft

Time for yet another assembled papercraft of one of the best anime in the last few years “Enen no Shouboutai”. And next in line is the more-or-less spiritual leader of the bunch, the cute nun Iris, in chibi form of course, because they are sooo much adorable that way (and easier to make), don’t you think? XD

As with all my crafts, I always start at the head. Build the face first (with the neck) and then make your way to the back of the head with the hair and close it. Since Iris is in the nun’s uniform, she has a long veil down her head that is as long as her whole body, so that can be a bit fiddly to put on. But I still recommend you put the veil on the head separately, and then glue the head on with the veil, since it’s still going to be the easiest way if you do it like that. So, build the veil part, attach the inner side of the veil (if you want, since the inner part is optional, but it looks nicer in black), and then glue the front-end bangs of the hair on the vail. Once that is done, put glue on the flaps of the previously made head and glue the veil on the head, slowly and neatly, one flap at a time. The most important parts are the front parts, since those are visible, so make sure to focus on that, the back parts can be glued on just like that so they fit and they are aligned (since they are not visible in the end). And the head is done.

Moving on, I made the 2 arms separately first. After you have only the arms done, glue the “stumps” inside the arms at the right angle. And after those are glued, you can glue on the simple 2D 2-sided hands on and bent/curl the fingers in her typical “Latom” prayer pose (as seen in the picture) and we are done here :)

When the arms are done, built the first half of the upper dress with the collar. Build the gray collar first, then glue the white collar inside the gray collar and then on the collar of the black dress. When you got that, glue the arms on there and then slide the neck part (of the built head) inside the hole and glue it up from the inside. Let that part dry good, and when it does, use curled-up waste paper to bulk up that tiny neck of his to prevent it from snapping (it’s a chibi papercraft, so the necks are always the most difficult part, since they are so small and the head disproportionately big).

After that, built the remaining upper black dress parts and glue it on the pieces you already got. Once you have that, you can make the inner white dress and just glue it from the inside to the black dress at the right angle.

Once you got that, move on to the legs. The legs can be assembled separately from the main body, since they fit inside the dress and it’s easier that way, so do just that. Built the feet from the bottom upwards, first making the boots and make your way up till you reach the last part. In this phase you can fill out or add weights into the feet (if you want to be 100% sure it stands), but she stands pretty good without any help as well. And after you are happy with the feet, simply paste glue on the flaps and glue them on the body at the waste part, adjusting the right angle so she can stand.

Finishing touches are the shoulder pads of her protective gear. Those are glued together separately, and then you put some glue on each edge of the pads and glue them on the shoulders just like that at the right spots. And there you go, all done :)

She is pretty sturdy for a chibi papercraft, if you assemble her right. The neck is “hidden” inside the collar, making the most vulnerable part (the neck) pretty stiff, even without extra reinforcing it.

I hope you like her and you’ll get some ideas to assemble a papercraft or two on your own. The template and info about the purchase can be found here:

Iris chibi (Fire Force) papercraft

Decided to do a whole range of chibi papercrafts fitting in a whole project, since I love making chibis ‘coz they are so adorable and easy to make. So, what else to do than one of my favorite series of the last 10 years, “Enen no Shouboutai” or “Fire Force” :)

As you can see from the preview image, this is the chibi papercraft of Iris, the gentle soul and spiritual beacon of the group XD

The papercraft is unfolded to 20 cm and consists of 9 pages to print. It is made out of a 3D Iris model, with simple 2D 2-sided hands that are just glued on like that for super simple assembly (posed with her praying “Latom”). She has some additional 2D parts as highlights on the model, such as her long 2-sided veil and her simple shoulder pads, that are just glued on like that.

Along with that, I have also updated my unfold patterns to be even more logical on how and what parts to put together, so the templates come not only with the edge ID PDF files to see how to assemble them, but also with written notes and clues on what parts go together, written besides the relevant parts in the templates. Even simpler assembly, and a simple 3D chibi pattern for easy gluing together.

All of the chibis from the “Fire force” project, are made to fit together in a whole group, so they are all relative in height and basically made the same way. So, if you are interested in seeing all of them, just check the regular updates and my papercraft folder under “Fire Force papercrafts”, where all of them are going to be shown ;)

Happy crafting~ and "Latom!"

As you can see from the preview image, this is the chibi papercraft of Arthur, the crazy yet lovable guy with the knight-complex XD

The papercraft is unfolded to 24 cm and consists of 7 pages to print. It is made out of a 3D Arthur model, with simple 2D 2-sided hands that are just glued on like that for super simple assembly. He has some additional 2D parts as highlights on the model, such as the badge on the left shoulder and his 2D 2-sided collar with hoodie. It also comes with his Excalibur sword he uses in his fights, which is made as a simple 3D boxy model that is built separately and glued into the hand.

Along with that, I have also updated my unfold patterns to be even more logical on how and what parts to put together, so the templates come not only with the edge ID PDF files to see how to assemble them, but also with written notes and clues on what parts go together, written besides the relevant parts in the templates.
