Hatsune Miku boxy (Simple V) built papercraft

Already posted the preview of my boxy Hatsune Miku papercraft:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/1209997299

And now this super simple papercraft needs to be build in real, for you to see the actual pixel cuteness she is (:

 *********************************************************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Since it’s a simple version papercraft, it’s pretty straightforward.

You have: a boxy hair part with the front hair bangs, the 2 boxy tails, the boxy head, the boxy torso, the boxy dress and the 2D 2-sided flat arms, legs and chain. Each of these are all separate pieces, so you make each of those separately fist like a box.

And once all of those parts are glued and done, you then also glue each of them together to get a box Miku. She sits, so there is no tilting over, and the 2 hair tails are exactly made to align with the bottom part, so the tails also help her sit.

 ****************************************************************************

So, what is this all about a simple version? As the name “Super simple papercrafts” suggests, it is a project of really simple papercrafts I make. Since I saw that many people are somewhat intimidated by my intricate designs and overall papercraft really, I wanted to show that it’s not the case and that I wanted to make an effort to make papercrafts available really for any kind of papercrafter, be it beginner, advanced or pro. I decided to address the issue and show that anybody can make papercrafts and therefore designed some fun crafts that REALLY ANYBODY CAN MAKE, super simple and really fast. But most of all, fun!

These papercrafts are simple in design regarding how many pieces there are, they are unfolded a bit bigger to make it simpler to assemble them, they have more detached pieces that you just make and glue on, and still look super sweet and adorable so anybody will want to make them.

You can find all of the “Simple Papercrafts” I designed in my folder:

Hatsune Miku boxy (Simple version) papercraft

Yet another Hatsune Miku papercraft, since people love these so much. But this time, it’s a super simple papercraft version, so I made a boxy Miku one for all of you. Really simple to make, really fast to build, and 3-times as adorable (:

 *********************************************************

The papercraft is unfolded to 8 cm and has 2 pages to print out.

It consists of a 3D boxy model of Hatsune Miku herself, with simple 2D flat arms and legs, simple pyramid-shaped tails, 3-sided earphones and 2D add-ons. The boxy hair, the tails, the head, the torso and the dress are all separate pieces, so you make each of those and glue them together.

Easy-peasy.

You always have a blank, locked PDO file included with any of my legit designs, free or premium, that I ONLY share on my official pages, so you can be sure it has instructions and you can follow the simple 3D guide to assemble it for yourself.

Hanging Miku chibi built papercraft

Already posted my hanging, dangling Hatsune Miku chibi papercraft template:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Hanging-Miku-chibi-papercraft-1194952644

And now it’s time to give you some pro-tips on how assemble her the easiest way. Let’s go.

**********************************************************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the front bangs, the 2 hair tails, the 2 arms, the upper torso with the sleeves, the dress, and the bottom with the legs.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then you glue on the front hair, and lastly close it with the back hair. You can start making the 2 3D tails next, but build them separately and set them aside for now.

Next, you can separately build the 2 arms with the 2D hands. When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the 2 sleeves first separately, then the upper torso. When you have the upper torso, glue the sleeves inside those and make the rest of the torso. Only when you have this done and the torso glued together with the head, only then press the pre-made arms with the hands inside to glue them on the right angle inside the sleeves. And the torso is done.

Next step, make the dress part separately and glue it inside the belt section of the torso.

Next, legs. You do this part by assembling the legs from bottom to top and finish with the buttocks part. This means, build the shoes first, glue the leg from there upwards till you come to the butt and glue these inside the belt section of the torso again.

All that is left is to do is to glue the 3D tails inside the head and add the 2D add-on parts and it’s done.

Extra tip: Since she hangs on a chain, when making the neck and gluing on the skirt and legs, be sure to add some extra tape inside the craft, so it doesn’t fall apart on any joined section, since she will be hanging from 1 leg only all the time.

*Note: The papercraft preview is made with an actual chain. The template does has a cut-out chain included, but it is better to use an actual chain or rope so it holds better.

Hanging Miku chibi papercraft

It's always so much fun to make Vocaloid papercrafts, since Miku herself is the ultimate cuteness. And when I saw a hanging, dangling chibi version of her, I thought damn, that is super cute, I need to make this into a 3D model!!! So, out came this chibi hanging Hatsune Miku papercraft, that I wanted to make as a really versatile toy. A cute yet simple template.

 *********************************************************

The papercraft is unfolded to 27 cm and has 6 pages to print out with all the optional faces included.

It consists of a 3D model of chibi Miku herself, with a simple 2-sided 2D chain that you tape on a ceiling or underside of a shelf to let her hang and dangle, and 10 facial expressions you can choose from.

Should be straightforward to make, and you can always use actual rope or a chain to hang her from any position, since the feet are made to dangle and she won't be able to stand anyway. The hands are 2D and super easy to make as well and the 2 hair tails are hollow on the inside, so it's even easier to assemble.

You always have a blank, locked PDO file included with any of my legit designs, free or premium, that I only share on my official pages, so you can be sure it has instructions and you can follow the simple 3D guide to assemble it for yourself.

Chibi Sakura Miku built papercraft

I already posted the template preview of this cutie and you can view it here:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Chibi-Sakura-Miku-papercraft-951812150

And now you also have the assembly preview and some tips along the way.

*As with any of my papercraft templates, the blank PDO is always included in these files, so you help yourself with the 3D preview in Pepakura to assemble it, but I like to post a bit of experience I have with building papercrafts to maybe make things easier for less experienced papercrafters and share ideas on how to make it simpler.

:bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink:

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

Best to start it, as with any of my crafts, is at the top and make your way down to the bottom. So, you can divide the assembly into many smaller parts that can be made separate from each other. You got: the 2 braids, the head, both arms, both hands, the legs, the 2D add-ons and then you glue all together to the torso.

So, start by making both braids, starting from bottom to top. When you have those, set side and glue together the face and the front bangs. Then, glue on the braids on the front bang flaps and make sure to additionally glue it on with a strong tape, since it will fall off coz it’s only attached with 2 flaps for now. Glue on the remaining parts of the head/hair on, making sure to neatly glue on the braids and close with the neck.

Next, you can make the simple 2D hands and then the arms. Glue on the hands on the arms, and then make the first part of the top torso part. There, you need to glue on the 2 arms you already made. Glue on the remaining 2 parts of the torso and once you have the whole torso, glue on the neck with the head on there.

Then comes the dress and legs part, which are both done separately and then glued together at the hips part of the craft and you simply join them together at the right angle. Since the craft stands on both legs and has both braids very long, dragging on the floor, the Chibi Miku will be able to stand without any additional help or weights.

All that needs to be done now is to add the various sakura flowers, the simple 3D flower in her hand, the tie and the belt and you are done.

Hope you like how it looks at the end and that you’ll try to make a craft or 2 of your own. It’s a super fun hobby you won’t be able to quit once you start, believe me :D

Enjoy and happy crafting~
