Angewomon (Digimon) papercraft

I have made quite a few Digimon papercrafts in these years, because I love the concept and I loved the anime as a child as well. Fell in love with the first series and never looked back. Hook, line and sinker. But what really made me a super fan in these last few months and I really wanted to get into some new amazing papercrafts, was the new game »Digimon: Time Strangers« that is just soooo amazing! I love the ridable feature, I love the story, I love the new redesigns and details on existing Digimon, I love the lore and holy Digimon, I love the easy upgrade system with learnable and detachable attacks, it's just such an awesome RPG! (POKEMON, TAKE A NOTE MF!!!)

And, since my first Digimon that I instantly fell in love with as a child was Gatomon (as you can see from the papercrafts I already did XD), I decided to do it’s digivolution form some papercraft-justice and make a really awesome-looking cool-pose craft that really took some time to make. And here she is: my Angewomon papercraft!

******************

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 41 cm and has 18 pages to print out (3 of them being optional double-sided color pages for the inner hair and pink scarf).

The papercraft has a 3D model of Angewomon, with simple-ish yet still 3D attached wings, a 2D scarf, a 3D bow and arrow for her holy arrow attack, various 2D add-ons (breast armor, belts), optional simple 2D or 3D hands, and a 3D stand with 3D pink crystals she can lean and stand on.

*I also did a small sneak peek of the face I did for her, since the mask armor I made is detachable. The anime and game character does not have an actual face (the mask IS the face), it is not canon, but I did want to design one for it, so you can put the mask on with magnets to detach it as well.

*******************************

*NOTE: The papercraft is very difficult to put together!

All of the main 8 wings are 3D and attached with a stem on her back, so those need to be reinforced with wire or curled-up paper on the inside, or tape on the inside. The wings also have a second, 2D part that is glued on the front side of them, which makes the wings even heavier.

The scarf would also need to have either an invisible wire, or it has to be made with somewhat thicker paper than the rest, so it can hold its shape above her head.

The mask armor on her face is a separate piece and is meant to be attached with a magnet. You glue one magnet on the inner side of her face, and one magnet on the inner side of the mask, so it can be detached and attached later on.

The way she leans and stands on the crystals also needs to be additionally glued on held in place with wire, so she doesn’t tip over, because she is very top-heavy with the wings. All in all, some parts need additional attaching so they don’t snap off, so I do suggest the assembly for experienced papercrafters only.

Those of you playing the game surely know Angewomon is a GOAT buffer for the team in the late stages, and her holy arrow and later Magnadramons holy flame do anywhere from 200-500% damage to the late-game bosses! You HAVE to have them in the team, not only for the attacks, but just look at her!?!?! She is gorgeous, and I love her design.

Which Digimon did you have in your team that you liked best? Do comment bellow, I would love to see what strategy you went with.

Fluffymon (Digimon) built papercraft

Already released this cutie as a template:

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Fluffymon-Digimon-papercraft-1183054319

And now it’s assembly time!

****************************

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With all of my papercrafts, you start at the head and close at the bottom.

Start making the inside of the mouth first, glue on the beak and the head around it. Then when you come to the neck part, start making the fluffy scales/feathers from head to tail in that direction, till you get to the butt.

When you have most of the body done, you can glue together the 2 separate legs and reinforce them, so they hold really good (glue them together, add tape inside the legs and fill them out with small pebbles to make them hold). Glue the 2 legs inside the body and also additionally tape them on the inside, so they are really sturdy and hold their place.

All that is left to do is to close the body with the tail part and add the feather on its head and it’s done.

Pteromon (Digimon) papercraft

WHY! Why didn't anybody tell me that such ADORABLE Digimon designs exist, but only in their card game and they don't use in the games as 3D models? Bandai Namco, come onnnn, make use of them already and make them into 3D textures cuties for people to play with in the games! I really hope we get to see some of these adorable little guys in the new game they have coming out this year! It would be a hit for sure! And I can't wait to play it too ;_;

Anyway, since I found out some super cute designs I gushed over for hours, I needed to make them into papercrafts, so I can print those out and make them in real-life to have on my desk as motivation-and-stuff XD And here it is.

****************************

The papercraft of Pteromon is unfolded to 19 cm height and has 5 pages to print out.

It is made out of a 3D simple body of the bird Digimon, with 3 fingers on its hands/wings. The actual mask is attached to the body (except the 2-sided needle at the top) as well as the tail and the spikes. The 3D wind tornado, which is its attack, is a simple 3D shape and is a separate optional piece you can make to glue in its hands.

The fiddlier parts would be the fingers and the spikes on the head and tail.

I really fell in love with the whole digivolution line, so I think it looks super cool. I love bird designs no matter where they are used, they always look awesome.

The papercraft of Fluffymon is unfolded to 15 cm height and has 4 pages to print out.

It is made out of a 3D spherical body with 6 layers of 2D fluffy feathers that are glued as the base body. The tip of the tail is also 2D and flat, so its just joined and glued together at the end.

The fiddlier parts would be the mouth, since it is a full 3D mouth with a 3D tongue and the smaller bird-like feet, so those would be better to fill out with extra leftover paper, to make them a bit sturdier to hold the fluffy avocado upright.

Really super cute scaly yet fluffy avocado birb chongus :3

Yolkmon (Digimon) papercraft

****************************

The papercraft of Yolkmon is unfolded to 7 cm height and has 3 pages to print out.

It is basically made out of a 3D sphere of the yolk (with a flat bottom you close the assembly with) and then a 2D egg white and a simple egg shell hat on top.

And for the shell to fit at the right angle on its head, there is a simple column-like stand for it to glue on, so it holds its place on top of its head.

Really simple and easy, really fast to do, and really cute :3

Matt Garururmon pajamas (Digimon) papercraft

Recently a new set of super cute Digimon figures came out with the chosen children of the very first Digimon season, in which each of them wears super cute pajamas of their Digimon partners. They are super adorable, and I decided to make my own take on the figures and actually making accurate pajamas of them in papercraft form. And here they are.

This is the design of Matt in his Garurumon pajamas.

*********************

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 28 cm and has 8 pages to print out. It consists of 3D version of Matt in his Digimon pajamas. It has a 3D head with 3D hair parts, 2D 2-sided ears, a 3D body with 3D paws and feet, a 2D hood with 2D ears, and a 2D 2-sided tail with 2D fur.

For the assembly, you need to first assemble the hood and then the head, both separately. Once you have both, put the head inside the hood and glue those together with the flaps on the neck part of the body and only as the last part put together the body. Else the head cannot be put inside the hood, so the hood and head need to be assembled first.

*Note that I made only a few of the tamers and my own version of the Digimon pajama designs as well. I did not make the whole set of all 8 children, nor will I do the whole set of them, since I only wanted to make my fav ones I liked from the anime.

Also note that the ones I did make are all in relative height and fit together in size.

***************************************

Hope you like the papercraft in any case. Enjoy and happy crafting~

Takeru Patamon pajamas (Digimon) papercraft

They are super adorable, and I decided to make my own take on the figures and actually making accurate pajamas of them in papercraft form. And here they are.

This is the design of Takeru (T.K.) in his Patamon pajamas.

*********************

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 21 cm and has 4 pages to print out. It consists of 3D version of Takeru in his Digimon pajamas. It has a 3D head with 3D wing stands and 2D wings, 2D 2-sided ears, a 3D body with 3D paws, feet and a tail, a 2D hood, and a 2D 2-sided tail with 2D fur.

Else the head cannot be put inside the hood, so the hood and head need to be assembled first.

Also, the wings on the hood are made with 3D and 2D parts. Once you assemble the 3D wing stands, you then just glue on the 2D wings on there as is, without flaps or anything.
