Ladybug (Miraculous Ladybug) built papercraft

I made the Miraculous Lady bug papercraft template some time ago:

And now it’s time for the assembly preview and tips.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head with the neck, the 2 3D hair tails, the arms, the upper torso and the legs with the butt.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then you glue on the front hair, the back hair and you close. Then you need to assemble the 3D hair tails separately and best to set them aside for last later on.

Next, you can separately build the 2 arms and the 2 hands, with either the 2D or 3D version (note that I did the preview pics with the 2D version of the hands). When you got those, set them aside and start gluing together the first few rows of the torso. You glue now this on the head and neck part you did before, then glue on the arms in the holes and build the torso till the belly. Only when this is done, glue in the 2 hands at the right angle inside the arms and that’s done.

Next step is to make the legs. You do this part by assembling the legs from bottom to top and finish with the buttocks part. Then glue all the leg part inside the belly part and it's done. Both parts are rounded in the belly part, so they fit together perfectly and this way, you can easily make the legs and the upper torso in separate phases, so they hold together better. Pro tip: I also suggest adding some weights inside the boots to make her stand nicely.

All that is left is to add the add-ons, the 2D bows and ears, the simple 3D compact in her hand, and glue on the 2D hair tails inside the holes in the head to finish it.

*NOTE: The preview was made with the 2D hand options, but the template comes with both 2D and 3D hand options.

Ladybug (Miraculous Ladybug) papercraft

Need to make at least SOME cartoon papercrafts, since I am mostly doing anime, for all the fans out there.

I really try to make a wide variety of crafts for everybody to enjoy, and while they are mostly things I play/watch myself, sometimes the requests are a bit different and I like to do those at least once in a while.

So, here we have the amazing “Miraculous Ladybug” Ladybug for all the fans of the cartoon and the games!

***************************************

The papercraft is unfolded to 16 cm and has 3 pages to print. It consists of a 3D model of Ladybug, optional 2D and 3D hands, and a simple 3D compact in her hands.

I wanted to go really wild with this, and make a really superhero dynamic pose with her. I think she looks pretty cool like that (: The left sole and part of the right sole and left-hand fingers are touching the ground, but since it is rather butt-heavy at the back, I do suggest putting in some weights inside the legs when you make her, so she doesn’t tilt over. The limbs are very slim, so it is somewhat harder to assemble as well.

I will try to make more dynamic and interesting poses; even after so many years of papercrafts/designing, you can always take in new things and you never stop learning with anything you do, no matter how good you think you are at it!

And while I am very happy and content with the current level I am working on with my 3D modeling and texturing, I am the first to admit that I could be doing even better, so I am always pushing myself to make new things and get better and better. The stars are the limit people!

Enjoy and happy crafting~
