Eternal Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon) papercraft

All the way back in 2014-2015 I released my first Sailor Moon papercrafts. Since my skills kept developing, these older designs weren’t up to par with my current work, so I removed them altogether. But ever since I did, I wanted to make new ones. And it took all the way to now to make them in a way to reflect my personal papercraft journey and how far I have come with my skills, and doing the franchise justice. I finally took the time to completely remake those ones and make a whole new shiny and fresh batch of Sailor Senshi from 0. So, here they are.

****************************

This is the papercraft of Eternal Sailor Moon, complete with all of the original details and parts from the anime/movie.

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 30 cm (23 cm without staff) and has 8 pages to print.

It includes a base 3D model of Usagi, with 2D double-print page hair tails and 3D hair buns, a 3-layered 2D skirt, smaller 2D accessories, optional 2D or 3D sleeves, optional 2D or 3D cuffs, optional 2D or 3D hands (one 3D hand is stretched out and the other option is for holding her Eternal Tiare), an optional 2D or 3D Eternal Tiare, and a 3D stand with her symbol.

It is also better to fill out the legs with additional weights, so she can stand better (or optionally glue in magnets inside the boots and on the inner side of the stand), because of the high heel.

*Some of the pieces are fiddly and smaller, such as the boots and the hands, so I wouldn't recommend it to people with no experience in human papercraft assemblies.

***************

All of the Eternal Sailor Senshin are relative in height, taking into account their size in the anime, so all of the 10 released Sailor Moon papercraft fit together in size.

****************************

*** This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDFs and blank, locked PDO file for assembly. – You can buy and download the template here:

You can view all of my available premium papercrafts that are for sale on my Ko-fi page:

I hope you enjoy the new Sailor Senshi papercrafts I made and that you’ll celebrate the success of the Sailor franchise with me and make a figure or 2 of them as well.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Sailor Moon papercraft remakes teaser

As already stated and shared

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/art/Sailor-Moon-Sailor-Senshin-papercraft-remakes-1196466023

I completely remade my old Sailor Moon papercrafts and based them off the last Eternal Sailor Moon movie designs. And after literary at least 100 hours of work on this project (probably more, but I don’t want to admit it =_="), it is finally done.

In the teaser you can see the final looks of all 10 Sailor Senshi I made and how they look textured, with a bit of a blur, well, because, it should still be a bit of a surprise when I release each one how they actually look in detail d:

Hope the work I put into these will really show and people will love the end results as much as I do.

The Senshin will be released in the coming weeks, showcasing each individual warrior in their own post and showing off all the cute little details I made for them.

Hope you look forward to the reveals of the new looks.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Sailor Moon - Sailor Senshin papercraft remakes

Some of you maybe looked into the “Huge WIP sneak-peak preview” parts I have been releasing bit by bit

https://www.deviantart.com/antyyy/journal/Huge-WIP-sneak-peak-preview-final-1194958248

and finally figured out that I am making a Sailor Moon papercraft remake from the old ones I did ages ago. And here is the preview of the figures.

*********************

The new and last Sailor Moon crystal movie was released a year back in the wester world, so I really wanted to take my sweet time and make this right. So, it took that long to make, because I looked at all the details and small design choices from the anime remakes and made them into 1:1 papercraft figure replicas.

– Why?

– To torture myself because I am a masochist? Because I am crazy? Probably that too XD but foremost to do the Sailor Moon franchise justice, because it is a near and dear anime to my heart and one of the huge ones I started to watch as a child. I really love Sailor Moon, because it brough me to the world of anime, which is a part of my soul and I never want a day in my life without it.

THIS, I consider this project to be my Magnum Opus of papercrafts. The best ones I did in all of my years in this business so far (and it has been MANY), and they need to be perfect in every sense.

***********

In the “Old designs” column you can see my old released Sailor Senshi from the series I made all the way back in 2015 and that I did in reference to the original 80s-90s anime. And in the “New designs” column you can see the still hidden silhouettes of the new remake papercrafts of the same characters, but in reference of the new 2024 anime release of the Eternal Sailor Senshin designs.

***********

I normally don’t release any previews of stuff I am working on and the process, but I am really looking forward to update the old ones I did and make them really look good and on the actual high level of detail I do now with my papercrafts.

Subsequently, of course, I removed these old versions years ago from my shop and I will only be selling the new remakes when I re-release them.

I like to show some remakes when I do get to make them, so you can really see the progress of the work and skill I put into my 3D models and unfolded papercrafts.

*********************

I wonder how the look like and if they actually look better than the old ones I did? Hmmmm, guess you’ll have to find out when I start releasing them in the coming weeks (:

Hope you look forward to the reveals of the new looks.

Enjoy and happy crafting~

Trash taste guys papercrafts

Sooo, quite an unusual papercraft job I got with this, so maybe a bit of an explanation what this is about.

I was approached by a person that wanted me to make 4 different papercrafts for the upcoming event they are going to and where these “Trash taste guys” and going to show up live (if I understood it correct)? So, I googled it and apparently these guys are hugely popular in the anime-verse with their podcasts they do.

:bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink: :bulletpink:

The Vtuber “Ironmouse” and all 3 guys that I made have their own cosplay outfit that I made for them and they probably mean something specific in their podcast group or are meant as an inside joke of some sort (I didn’t go as far as to ask the person what it means and I don’t listen to podcasts myself at all), but I thought it would be fun and interesting to do guys in dresses, so I said why not.

From left to right we have:

-          The Vtuber Irnomouse with her Super Sailor Chibi Moon (Sailor Moon) cosplay outfit,

-          “Gigguk” in his Tohsaka Rin (Fate) cosplay outfit,

-          “The Anime Man” in his Beatrice (Re:Zero) cosplay outfit and

-          “CDawgVA” in his Lisa Lisa (Jojo’s bizarre adventure) cosplay outfit.

All of them are unfolded to 20 cm height, since that is the standard height for most human papercrafts I make anyway.

:bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow: :bulletyellow:

So, as a treat, I decided to release all 4 of them in the upcoming weeks for my premium Patreon supporters on my page to download. Since all of them are assembled the same way, the heads are interchangeable and you can basically use the base cosplay outfit on any ca. 20 cm big papercraft and use that to your liking.

I won’t show how they look like or how the outfits look. Supporters will just have to see it themselves if they are interested ðŸ˜‰

Sailor Moon Transformation papercraft

Since I have a bit of a history with Sailor Moon, and this was one of my first anime in my childhood I was genuinely obsessed with, I had to do another take on a Sailor Moon papercraft. But not just any old papercraft…

I thought deep and hard about what made Sailor Moon special to me, and figured out that I was always waiting for those amazing transformation poses and animation. Those beautiful slender bodies, the elegance, the magic, it was just captivating, and still is. The highlight of every »Mahou shoujo (Magical girl)« anime is the transformation scene we are all waiting for, so I decided to make just that!

It is quite a challenge to make such a dynamic pose into a static papercraft, and I had to figure out some tricks to do this, but all in all it's a genuine 90' Sailor Moon transformation sequence papercraft :)

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 30 cm, which means that Sailor Moon is about 26 cm tall, the stand about 3 – 3,5 cm thick. It consists of a 3D attached Sailor Moon model, with a separate 3D broch (that is just glued on like that), her 2D transformation ribbons, her 2D 2-sided wings and the 3D stand with 2 2D 2-sided heart transformation patterns.

The key to this craft is actually to be really neat and tidy when doing this, so definitely a 9/10 on a difficulty scale (advanced and for experienced assemblers only). The Sailor Moon papercraft has the stand where her feet are imbedded in, but that would definitely have to be reinforced and possibly made to stand with wire. Same goes for the wings that would need either wire or sticks to hold them in place so they would be attached the right way – but in doing that the wings can actually be moved up and down and in an angle, which makes the effort definitely show at the end being worthwhile.
The pieces of Sailor Moon are all attached together, but overall, because it is so slender, it has smaller parts to put together and the twin tails would probably also have to be additionally glued at the top so they would not fall over.

Same goes for the stand. If you want to include the 2 hearts, those would have to be attached on the stand with wire to hold their place. Or they can be made from cutting out pink foil and attaching those on the stand (which would also look amazing when doing that with the ribbons on her body; the foil would add extra shiny texture and it would hold the shape better).

Additionally, to these ideas about assembly tips, the Sailor Moon papercraft would, of course, look best if she would float. So, my tip would be to make her without the stand and just hang her from a wire or thread so she would look natural in her floaty pose.

All in all, as said, only for the not faint of heart and experienced papercrafters to make her look and stand the way she should. I will definetly try to get some time on my hands and make this baby, so you know that she can actually look as elegant and floaty as in the animation :)

In the meantime, hope you got some drive and motivation to do some of your own papercrafts. Enjoy and happy crafting~

BTW: The real funny part for this is that the idea actually came to me in a dream XD I was dreaming on being on my PC and thinking about what to do next for a papercraft and the idea came to me to make the transformation sequence of Sailor Moon, because it is so iconic and amazing. With all the wings and floating ribbons XD And the papercraft just started to dance and float and sparkle in my dream, damn it was so cool XD Sometimes my dreams are really random and I got no idea where this came from. It was probably at least 2 years since I last saw the new remakes of the Sailor Moon anime, so.... random? I guess :D

Osaka Naru (Sailor Moon) papercraft commission

Wanted to show another commission today, since the built papercraft was already posted so you can see the end result already XD

Anyway, this is Osaka Naru, the best human or "non-Sailor-scout" friendof Usagi in the anime "Sailor Moon". It is based on the picture you see, the old-style anime of Sailor Moon, since I also do think that the old anime had way more soul and style than the new one, but oh well... Like to watch the new one as well, but things are normally never as good as the original.

The papercraft itself is 25 cm tall and has 5 pages to print. The whole papercraft is 3D with some 2-sided parts like the skirt and the bow, simple design and simple boxy hands to make. I think she is super cute AND as a treat you can also see the built papercraft of the commissioner here:

Pretty cute, isn't it? :)

The shining brooch

Super Sailor Moon built papercraft

Finally I have some free time on my hands, so I have been able to do one of my recent and best papercrafts, the craft of Super Sailor Moon. You can see the link of the template here:

Super Sailor Moon papercraft

And now here she is built XD

I think I sat on this for about 4 days, about 4-8 hours each session with breaks, didn't really timed how much it took. She is filled with paper so she stands firmly on her own. The sepparate and 2D parts are all attached, and I attached her on the stand as well.

The whole craft is pretty big all in all, since I wanted it that way, about 45 cm (with the stand).

She definetly takes time to make, especially if you want to make it with all the double-sided pieces and reinforce it the right way. Also, some smaller parts take more foucus (as are the fingers, wand, etc.), but it's normal since she it a pretty complex papercraft to begin with and with a lot of details.

Hope you like it and be sure to comment some feedback if you have any ;)

Enjoy~

Super Sailor Moon papercraft

People, look no more. The ultimate Super Sailor Moon papercraft you are looking for is right here.

Look at this elegant beatuy, this slender figure, the heroine pose, and the perfectly executed textures.

Hand made by me with a lot of love, modelled and textured by me. As said my inspiration for the pose was the Sailor Moon figurine I saw on Ebay.

The craft is of Super Sailor Moon, deliberately with the Moon staff, as explained before, because I freaking love the Moon staff and hate all the others to be honest XD Super Sailor Moon was my favourite suit she was wearing, so I had to re-do the papercraft again.

The papercraft itself is 45 cm tall, from stand till Moon staff, and has 18 pages to print. She can stand without the stand, but I still recomend you do it with it, just to be sure. And I also recomed to fill it out, expecially in the feet if you want her to stand, but I recomend filling papercraft models out in any way, because that way they hold for a lifetime.

The papercraft is deliberately bigger than the others, since she has more details and with her amazing stand can be built and kept like any anime figure you have to buy for 100 or 150 dollars and more.

The craft consist of 3 different joined pieces: The Sailor Moon body, the stand, and the Moon staff. She has double-sided pieces for each of the critical pieces that stand out (skirt, shoulder flaps, hair, etc.), so she looks like a real amazing figure, colored from every side you look at.

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

I hope you see now that I was definelty not bluffing and you see the beauty and effort I put into each piece whilst modeling, posing and/or texturing.

Have fun and defnielty try to make her by yourself ;) Enjoy and happy crafting~

UPDATE:
