Trainer Akari (Pokemon Legends -Arceus) papercraft

Some time ago I posted this “Guess the character” quiz again:

And since it was really easy, a bunch of people guessed it correctly XD and identified it as the main female protagonist of the new and upcoming Pokemon game “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”, “Akari”.

I actually did post the same papercraft a while ago, but since so many new footage and videos came out that show a new angle on their clothes and how they updated their looks, I was really unhappy and had to change the initial model to the one that is now in the preview. Really happy with it, since I changed and added the bandana logo, that is now visible in the footage, and changed the proportions of the torso and hands to make them look more in-game-player-like. Still, since the game is not out yet and I am only basing this on the screenshots I got from it, it probably isn’t 100%, but the overall look is now much more like the game character and I am very happy with her. Can’t wait to assemble the new version now :)

Anyway, as said, could be off, but it’s my interpretation of the new ancestor of Dawn (aka Akari, as we now know her name actually is) Pokemon trainer. The papercraft is unfolded to 25 cm and has 7 pages to print. It consists of a 3D model of Dawn (with pigtail), with a separate 2-sided bandana, a separate 2D scarf and her separate accessories (such as the 3D bag around her waist, the new 3D steampunk-looking pokeball, her 2-sided hair tails and her bamboo shoelaces). Has some detail to it, since she has those slender 3D fingers, but apart from those fiddly parts, it’s rather time-consuming to make because of all the pieces that need to go together and not because it’s hard to make. Should be an average assembly really, if you are used to make humanoid papercrafts.

Along with that, I have also updated my unfold patterns to be even more logical on how and what parts to put together, so the templates come not only with the edge ID PDF files to see how to assemble them AND the blank PDO file, but also with written notes and clues on what parts go together, written besides the relevant parts in the templates. Even simpler assembly, and a simple 3D pattern for easy gluing together.

***This is a premium papercraft that you need to purchase in order to receive the PDF and blank PDO files for assembly. – You can find all information about the PayPal purchase in the provided upper outgoing link.***

Hope you like it and that we get to see some more details of the game (and that they fix the apparent bugs in there, but who am I kidding XD Gamefreak doesn’t give a damn, they may as well be selling s*** in a bag and people would buy it). They should really kick it back a notch and release things that are actually made with time and care… At least my papercraft is made with time and care and love as well, since I want people to like it and that it's as accurate as possible to the game, since I know most people are crazy about Pokemon and I always make them from time to time as fan-service ;)

Till then I’ll try to get this into my schedule of assembling it myself, as are currently 20+ papercrafts on the “to-do” list already XD Enjoy and happy crafting~
