ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all of my papercrafts, you start from top and build to bottom.

Assemble the 2 ears separately and then start making the top of the hood head, attach the 2 ears on and make the whole hoodie to the edge of the neck.

Now since it has both a hood and head, I suggest you first attach the hood on the torso. Assemble the torso with the few first pieces around the shoulders, till you have the 2 holes for the arms. Build the 2 arms separately, and then glue them inside the holes. Build the rest of the torso and at the end attach the 2 legs on it.

Now you have an empty pajama, where you can press inside the pre-made head and glue it onto the pajama inner side of the hood, so it holds nicely. The hole of the hood is big enough to press the head inside and if you put enough glue on the flaps, it will hold its place inside.

At the end, you can glue on the 2-sided tail and scarf around her neck. For the tail I suggest to *pro tip: glue some wire inside it, so it holds its shape. Glue wire on one side of the tail and close it with the other side, so the wire is glued inside. With this, you can pose the tail and it won’t lose its shape.

For the torso itself *pro tip: always put some smaller pebbles inside the legs when you are closing it for weight. With these, the craft will stand nicely and won’t tilt over. And done.

and since the new Digimon game came out, we can celebrate it a bit and see the assembly preview and the tips for the 2 most cutest Digimon ever made p; (that are also avaliable in the game).

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

As with all of my papercrafts, start at the top, close at the bottom. Meaning, you start both Gatomon and Patamon the same: from head to bottom.

Glue together both ears first and set them aside. Then you make the head to about half, glue the eras inside the holes you left and glue them on really good. Close the head and make your way to half of the torso.

At this point, you make both hands and feet separately, and you glue them inside the holes you left in the torso. Make the whole rest of the torso till you get to the bottom part. Here, make the tail separately first (for Gatomon, you will have to additionally put inside wire first, so the tail will hold nicely). Glue the tail inside the torso and glue it good.

All that is left to do is to glue the 2 legs inside the torso holes and then close both of them with the remaining bottom part with no flaps and the crafts are done.

At this stage, you can then also add the tail ring and whiskers for Gatomon as well.

Recently a new set of super cute Digimon figures came out with the chosen children of the very first Digimon season, in which each of them wears super cute pajamas of their Digimon partners. They are super adorable, and I decided to make my own take on the figures and actually making accurate pajamas of them in papercraft form. And here they are.

This is the design of Hikari (Kari) in her Gatomon (Tailmon) pajamas.

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 22 cm and has 5 pages to print out. It consists of 3D version of Hikari in her Digimon pajamas. It has a 3D head with 2D hair parts, 2D 2-sided ears, a 3D body with 3D paws and feet, a 2D hood with 3D ears, and a 2D 2-sided tail with the 2D ring.

For the assembly, you need to first assemble the hood and then the head, both separately. Once you have both, put the head inside the hood and glue those together with the flaps on the neck part of the body and only as the last part put together the body. Else the head cannot be put inside the hood, so the hood and head need to be assembled first.

*Note that I made only a few of the tamers and my own version of the Digimon pajama designs as well. I did not make the whole set of all 8 children, nor will I do the whole set of them, since I only wanted to make my fav ones I liked from the anime.

Also note that the ones I did make are all in relative height and fit together in size.

I got into the Digimon universe again and wanted to make an actual Digimon papercraft again of my fav ones, but this time 100% with my own model/texture (since I did start my career with some Digimon crafts I made, but they were based off of actual 3D models from the game, so I removed those).

So, I thought it would be nice group papercaft design to make Gatomon and Patamon, my 2 absolute fav, cutest, most adorable and awesome Digimon in season 1 and 2 combined XD Did I also mention they are both holy Digimon as well? So cute, with cool digivolutions AND awesomely powerful at the same time :3

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 20 cm and has 8 pages to print out (for both of them together). It consists of a 3D Gatomon/Tailmon and a 3D Patamon.

The design/pose idea is from some recent chibi figurines of the Digimon series, so both of them sit on their little bums and are looking at each other adorably (:

Since they are sitting, they both stand and won’t tip over, so extra weight is not needed for the assembly. However, some parts may be a bit smaller to make, such as Gatomons ears/tail and Patamons fingers on his arms and legs.

I got into the Digimon universe again with some PC games I played and got the idea to make an actual Digimon papercraft again, but this time 100% with my own model/texture (since I did start my career with some Digimon crafts I made, but they were based off of actual 3D models from the game, so I removed those).

So, I thought it would be nice diorama design to make and acknowledge the true dream-team of the first season: Gatomon & Wizardmon! Wizardmon, you are a true hero and you’ll never be forgotten ;_; The true OP Digimon of the chosen tamers, even if he technically didn’t have a tamer.

The papercraft is unfolded to a height of 27 cm and has 18 pages to print out (with all the options). It consists of a 3D Wizardmon, a 3D Gatomon/Tailmon and a 3D stand.

Gatomon has optional simpler 2D or 3D ears and a tail, so you can decide what version to make. And it also has 2 optional stands: one with the 3D placement for Gatomon to fit/or glue into to make it stand, or a flat stand option for those who want to make Gatomon stand with wire or magnets, which is a bit more complicated.

Each of the designs for them is based off the latest Digimon game, so the details should all be there and drawn on as they should be.
