And now we have the assembled version of her as well. Let’s go to the building so I can give out some tips.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

With any of my papercrafts, you can divide the assembly into separate parts: the head, the hair, the arms, the upper torso/dress and the legs.

If we start with the head, you assemble the face and neck first. Then glue on the back hair. Leave that, and make the whole white wax hair separately, and only after you have these 2 parts, put glue on the flaps of the head and glue on the hair at the right angle. This way, the head will be suuuuper easy to make. And then glue on the 2-sided purple flame, and head done.

Next you can separately build the 2 arms/sleeves. When you have these, glue on the first few rows of the torso/dress on the head and neck part you did before, then glue on the 2 sleeves and build the rest of the torso/dress. After this, you can also add the 2D bow parts.

Set this now aside and move to the legs. You do this part by assembling the legs from bottom to top and finish with the buttocks part. Then glue the leg part inside the dress part by just putting glue on the flaps of the legs and place them inside the dress at the right angle. And the 3D figure is done.

I also suggest adding some weights inside the boots to make her stand nicely.

Human Litwick (Pokemon) papercraft

Saw some humanoid Pokemon illustrations online, so I got the inspiration to make a human OC papercraft out of the Pokemon Litwick, as a cute, small, nerdy girl with melting wax-like hair XD

     

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 20 cm and consists of 3 printable pages. It has a 3D model of the Litwick girl, as well as some add-on 2D items. It’s all visible with the added blank PDO file you get with the purchase and you can see everything there on how to make it, so no worries about the assembly itself.

The papercraft has 2 legs to stand on, but you can add in some weights into the leg part when you assemble it, so you are 100% sure it won’t fall over. The only small parts on this would be the 3D feet, since she has no hands, only the sleeves, so it’s simple to make.

Sooo spooky, isn’t it? And now it’s time for the assembly preview as well, since I want it to have this cutie as a focal-point for Halloween! :D And some tips for the built itself are always nice, even if you got the PDO alongside all the files. 

          

ASSEMBLY TIPS:

The papercraft can be divided into 3 separate builds: the Lantern stand, Litwicks top with the purple flame and Litwicks body. All you have to do is follow the PDO for those parts really.

The lantern is easiest made if you make it from top to bottom. Start with the roof and build it piece by piece till you come to the 4 corners. Then make the front 3 ones first and glue them on, then make the 4^th one with the bottom you close up. And after that, glue the 3 inside parts of the lantern on it to make it look gorgeous. All that is left to do is to make the 3D Pokeball decoration, the 4 simple 3D legs that you glue on the bottom and the 2D bows and handles, and you are finished with that.

For the Liwick, as said, divide that into 2 parts as well, the top with the melted wax cap and the purple flame, and the separate body. For the top, make the flame first by starting from top to bottom, and then glue it on the wax top you make from bottom to top to join them. For the body, I also suggest making it from top to bottom and then close it with the last bottom part. All that is left to do is to put glue on the remaining flaps of the body part and glue the top with the flame on there at the right angle and you are done. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

The Litwick papercrafts fits inside the lantern and can stand with easy, so you can move it around all you like or use the lantern stand for other papercrafts as well.

   

And for the most ambitious papercrafters:

*Pro-tip: You can actually make the textured purple glass sides of the lantern see-though by cutting the purple glass parts out and actually using purple foil for those parts. It would really look original and amazing and I wanted to do it myself, but I didn’t find any fitting color for it ;/ So for now it has to remain a normal not-see-though purple lantern papercraft till I get my hands on something useful to make it work.

Litwick Halloween Lantern papercraft

It’s gonna be Halloween soon, my favorite time of the year XD And what better way to celebrate it than making another Halloween papercraft fit for the occasion. But it’s not only a Halloween special at that…

I have been playing the mobile game called “Pokemon Café Remix” from day 1. It’s a game that’s now online over 2 years and I love it so much. The Pokemon in the game have their own style and it’s so cutesy and relaxing. - But at the same time, the game got updated and they, of course, jacked up the game by adding more and more payable s*it in it and a gacha-system that destroys pretty much every game ever that has it. Really hate it. Despise it even. And they did the same to Café Remix by adding premium Pokemon in the game that you would have to buy with real money to get it, which made me super angry. BUT, what better revenge for myself than making the same Pokemon I really wanted to get from the game, but will never pay for it no matter what, in a papercraft form and get it for myself like that :D So, f*ck you Remix-team, change the system and start reading the actual feedback and outrage from the players you still have!

Long story short, I decided to make the Pokemon Café Remix Pokemon Litwick in its cutesy Halloween lantern decoration :D A perfect lamp for any Pokemon and Halloween lover out there.

           

The papercraft itself is unfolded to 20 cm (including the lantern stand), so the Litwick would be about 12 cm big (including his candle flame on top) and includes 7 pages to print. The fiddliest parts would be the smaller hands of Litwick and the Pokeball decoration on top of the lantern, but all in all it has a lot of 2D parts, simple things to glue together, so I would say it’s pretty easy to make, a 5/10 I would say.

   

Definitely making the assembly for myself, since I want to make it in time for it to be the focal-point of this years Halloween decoration. You’ll be able to see the built papercraft soon :)
