Jujutsu Kaisen: hands down one of the best shounen anime in 2023 and probably the last 10 years. Definitely up there with the really good ones in terms of animation quality and storytelling. And since the anime is sadly ending for this year, I decided to do the most popular and strongest character of the anime into a papercraft figure: Gojo Satoru.
The papercraft itself is unfolded to 25 cm and consists of 4 printable pages. The papercraft basically includes the 3D model of Gojo in his iconic attack pose with interlocked hands.
Here is the good part for you: it’s actually really easy and simple to make. I have spent hours upon hours to only get the hair resembling the real thing in the anime and making it absolutely 2D and easy to do. So, really simple to assembly, pure hell for me to design this thing in the first place XD Basically the hair is built from top to bottom on the face in 2D layers and the layers have flat strands of hair sticking out making it look really fluffy and original, but it’s actually all flat and simply designed.
When you buy the papercraft, as with all of my templates, it has the included blank locked PDO file along with it for assembly help, so the hair is clearly shows on how it needs to be assembled. So, no worries, it’s easy to do with the instructions. It also includes 2 versions of hands: the simple 2D version and the more intricate 3D version, so you can choose which one you want to make.
The papercraft clearly has 2 legs to stand on, so because of the flat soles and the simple balanced pose, it shouldn’t have any problems standing even without weights inside the feet, but you can always add them just in case. The only fiddlier part here would be the head (and the hands if you choose to make the 3D version).
