I made my sumer Pikachu in the style of “Pokemon Love It's Demo” template already:

so now it's time to post the assembled papercraft as well :)

The papercraft itself is made up out of different separated parts: a 3D Pikachu female with a 2D 2-sided pink tail, the 3D swim tube, the 3D sea stand, the 3D glass and drink, the 2D heart-shaped glasses, the 3D parasol and the 2D pink flower. All of them can be assembled separate each and added on as an extra, but the main parts are the Pikachu and the swim tube, since the back is bent to fit into the tube.

Since there is always a PDO included, it's not really interesting to explain how to assemble each of them, since it's pretty apparent from the instructions and most of the things are 2D. Maybe the most important part is the female Pikachu itself.

Basically the best way is to start with both ears, feet and hands – build all of those parts separately first, and then start attaching the ears on the head, making and gluig the parts as you go along the body, from top to bottom.

Once you get to the part where you also attach the 2 feet at the bottom, make the 2D tail first before closing the craft. Why? *Pro-tip: Use flat wire and glue it inside the tail, so the wire is in the middle of both sides and it can move and bend in any way, while leaving half of the wire out of the tail, so you can glue it on the inside of the Pikachu body. That way the tail is freely movable and looks good as well (Same can also be done to pose the parasol, since the white handle is hollow – put wire inside it to make it stand or bend to the degree you think looks best, while leaving half of the wire outside the handle to bend it into a circle and make it stand like that. It's the same way I made my parasol stand in the preview pictures as well).

Once you have the tail wire glued inside the body, all you have to do is close is with the last piece of the template that has no flaps on it, and the female Pikachu is done.

Hope you like the pictures and that it inspires you to either assemble a papercraft yourself or go on a relaxing swim in the ocean or any water for that matter. Sumers are just no fun without swimming,  else it's too hot to even blink :D

Enjoy and happy crafting~
